Hello everyone!
I recently got a Sony Xperia L phone and was about to install cyanogenmod 12 / 12.1, when i bumped into this problem during the process. Is there any way to correct/bypass/solve this issue? The guides say i would need "Bootloader unlock= allowed" to continue. Also, there is this site that claims that their software can solve this problem but im a little skeptical as i could not find any consolidated info yet neither on XDA developers or google in general (for now). I would be grateful for any info you can give me on this matter. The name of the site is "bootloader-unlock-allowed-no-solution DOT blogspot DOT hu" but i havent tried it yet.
Thanks in advance.

bootloader unlock allowed = no is in our case a lock that is written in TA partition... if you have NO then you have a carrier simlock (that also locks bootloader) ONLY your provider can unlock it atm ... please dont play with TA and dont try to change anything on it.... if the phone rejects the TA (this partition is signed) you will definitly have a HARDBRICK with no way out except mainboard change (very expensive)

Ty, I understand. I will try with my provider then. Just for curiosity, is this a common thing to ask from one's provider? Do they really do it if asked, or it depends from their general policy?

every provider does it...but it will cost you .... the amount of money is depending on how old your device is... for devices that are payed as a part of a (vertrag ? dont know english word... payed monthly?) they sometimes say "only unlock after its fully paid"

No worries.
That's because some carriers have made the bootloader unlockable and there is currently no way to get around it.,
However look at this
http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/
and you can see that Sony is not the OEM of the year (As voted by XDA members) for several years on the trot for no reason.
They actively help xda devs. They give instructions on their own website on how to unlock the bootloader (On sim free devices and devices from carriers such as Vodafone UK who do not lock down the bootloader) and even give devices for free to devs (Adam Outler being one) so that people can work it.
Has anyone figured out how to network unlock Xperia L device without paying it or something like that. Is there any program that does network unlock so it works on all sim cards. Thank you.
If this phone is chilean u can enter in the www.entel.cl and broswe about! potabilidad' and put u imei and folow instructions. Or go to the company and make request of this code

The phone is bought in Europe (Croatia) in T-Mobile. I am still under contract so my provider wont let me unlock my phone or give me any code for it. Before XL i had Samsung Galaxy Mini and i found some tool on XDA forum to unlock phone to work on all networks so i thought maybe someone knows some tool like that so i can unlock my XL. The point is that someone told me if i unlock my phone to work on all networks that way i will be able to unlock my bootloader, to be honest i dont know if that is true or not. When i check bootloader status it says "Bootloader unlock : not allowed". So i am actually finding a way to be able to unlock my bootloader. When i talked with my provider about that they don't know **** about it or they just wont tell me. So i would be very helpful if anyone could give me any advice or tutorial how to change bootloader status to allowed. I allready got the code from sony to unlock bootloader and all the tools i need to do it but i am afraid to start the process so i don't brick or brake my phone in any way since my bootloader status is set to not allowed. Thank you.
If say not allowed u are out of Lucky (we )

I know that this post can be annoyin for someone but i really need help, this cellphone actually don't have a method to have a Bootloader unlock.
I'm in a community called "Huawei G730" in facebook, have already 800 members, but nobody know how unlock the Bootloader for this Smartphone, Our community have sent several emails asking to Huawei for the unlock code, but nobody reply.
Please, the model isn't very popular and we can't find a method for unlock.
Huawei Ascend G730-U251
Plase.
thanks in advance.
Ok, seems no one's able to answer your question yet, which is the same for me, sadly. Though, there's a tutorial for MoDaCo superboot (just google it again) that, apparently, works. I say "apparently", 'cause I can't find reliable proof someone has ever tried this on G730 devices. However, I asked, right there, which G730 version will MoDaCo superboot will work on. The answer was fast and precise: "ALL VERSIONS" they said. Still (in spite of the fact that I've tried some similar procedures on HTC phones) I'm not brave enough to try it on my own G730-U251... yet. Then I asked: "... can I start the process right now with full confidence?... and the answer was a simple "YES". So, there's an open possibility, at least until Huawei gets kind enough to support us (the way they support other Huawei device owners) with the official bootloader unlock code for the G730. Now, if you wanna try...

Hi CNK80Q3MX Thanks for answer.
Can you give me the link to the modaco superboot tutorial? i can't enter in he modaco's web.
I want to try unlock.
thank you very much.
I can tell if it worked.
Search "unlock-bootloader G730" I'm not allowed to post links yet. You'll find it. Though, it is not MoDaCo page and downloading superboot requires subscription to some useless, PAID services...

Alright... there's an update here. I've managed to find the fastboot-windows file already extracted from MoDaCo superboot... which is the required one to just (still unconfirmed) unlock the G730 bootloader... but I can't remember where it is... I'm on it

Chetti-x, assuming you haven't tried the MoDaCo stuff yet. Neither I do. Still looking for that fastboot-windows file... meanwhile, search for "Bootloader unlock without emailing Huawei"... it's a tricky and somehow weird option, supposed to get the bootloader unlock code without Huawei's "help". Worked for G630. It won't hurt to try for G730. I will as soon as I can

Wait a minute... now this is turning into a "just one guy interested" thread, tho, after lots of investigation, I can easily realize why. So far, if there's any reliable way to unlock ANY G730 version devices, it still remains to be seen. Apparently, no one has ever tried and no one else seems to be interested on the subject either. Take this: I can't even identify the product ID with *#*#1357946#*#* provided by Huawei itself, and product ID is required to get bootloader unlock code... one way or another, you get stuck... there's also a sad British rumor, telling some Huawei devices are not only bootloader locked... they are also encrypted!!!... that means, no matter if you manage to unlock the bootloader, code on hand or not, you still can't get the freedom you want because of bloody encryption... and I'm quite suspicious, G730 devices fall into this category. Why is this fierce Huawei treatment for us G730 users? Go ask 'em. But be warned: You can consider yourself lucky if they, at least, answer your questions...

Hello to everyone..
Sony mobile flasher simlock option killed my sony xperia Z5 sim service.... bad mistake by me
Basically i bought a second hand sony xperia Z5 locked to O2 UK- first i wanted to upgrade the firmware and i have installed sony mobile flasher 0.9.23.2 and all the drivers to my laptop and downloaded the latest firmware everything was on right way to complete the firmware upgrade but before i proceed i saw the simlock option and i choosed it in order to remove the o2 network lock from the phone, i thought i could get 2 things done if i was lucky but i did not think choosing this option would of kill the phones network function. unfortunately after completing the flash i cannot use the device as a phone as it says no sim service, i can see the imei number and use other things on the phone like wifi etc... but cannot make calls.
After making some google search unfortunately i wasnt able to find any solution for this issue. Is there anyone on this forum have had this problem or can anyone advice me what to do please?
thanks.
sorry to hear that dude dont think the sim unlock works for this model hope u can get it sorted

Hi, have you tried to unlock the bootloader and reflash stock firmware using the flashtool from flashtool.net and xperifirm?
Or you could follow this step by step and see if that helps. https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z5/general/ftf-e66xx-patched-kernels-google-drive-t3688365
