i installed wrong kernel on my phone and now it does not start....i can still enter recovery mode
pllzzzzz smbdy hellpp
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. The first thing we need to know is what device are we taking about? You should try returning your device to stock. But flashing a wrong kernel on your device could leave it permanently bricked without specialized hardware to unbrick it. But let us know what device you have and then we can go from there.

hello!
i have a asus fonepad 7 with android 4.4.2. Recently i got an android 5.0 update notification and i downloaded it and pressed install. As soon as installing began after reboot, it showed error and after that rebooted again and showed installing again. Now the phone only shows installing, then shows error, reboots again and same process continues. So i went into the recovery and tried to repair by ADB but ended up in deleting the recovery. Now i have a tablet which is bricked, continuously restarts to installing and shows error and has no recovery option at all. I want help in the issue, I wanna know if there is a possibility that i can repair it myself because it is out of warranty.
Thanks!!
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. Well, the good news is it is not bricked if it turns on. You need to flash the stock firmware. The bad news is there is very little information on XDA about your device. See if anyone here knows where to find a flag the stock firmware. http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help or here http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help/asus-fonepad-7-fe170cg-firmware-please-t2835097

Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. There is some information about your device here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-y. Perhaps they can help you. Flashing a rom not for your device can brick it so that it can't be recovered without specialized hardware. But first try returning it to stock with Odin. This is not specific to your device but may help you, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2568853. Just make sure you download the stock firmware that is specific to your device.

Before anything else i have to say that this phone it's not mine but a friend will send it to me in a few days. Before this, i need some ideas on how to fix the problem.
So as the title says, the phone can only boot into recovery mode. The device has a custom recovery -- 4Ext recovery --
He got stuck in bootloop after he tried to flash a rom. He also tried to fix it and that's when he installed 4Ext.
I don't know if the bootloader is locked or unlocked, S-ON or S-OFF and also the USB Debugging might be off.
I attached a photo with the recovery.
Sorry for my bad english. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Hi, thank you for issued XDA Assist. A great place to start is here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1716955. I've never heard of that custom recovery so I'm assuming you're going to have to return the device to stock and start over. Also, here is the device's specific forum, http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-sensation. They are the experts on the device and can help you there.

hi,
I am using a micromax A117. I have changed my ROM a couple of times. couple days back I changed my ROM to MIUI Rom. but as I didn't like it much I tried to change the ROM and I was surprised to find that my phone would not start in recovery mode and would continue with regular boot. So i tried installing TWRP recover and after i selected the particular recovery image to be flashed and selected boot to recovery my phone gets hung at the boot logo. I even tried taking of the battery and on but it didn't help.
Then i thought of using ABD to reboot the bootloader but my PC wouldn't detect the phone. I am stuck with almost a dead phone now. Need help ASAp
