Hey!
I finally got sick of trawling through the Play Store for hours to find a decent game to play (no pay-to-win, IAP-riddled junk).
So I decided to hand-pick the best Android games out there, and create an app so people can easily filter for what they're looking for.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.curated.android
There are over 100 games and 40 different tags now. I'm adding games & features as fast as I can type!
Feedback & suggestions for new games are always welcome
Reserving for updates.
Side note: Anyone know how I can start a DevDB project? I just keep getting an 'unauthorised' message. Do I have to have a certain amount of points or something?

Hey all,
I just wanted to announce I've released a new app on the Android Market. It's called Game Rankings. The basic idea is it allows you to keep track of wins and losses of various games with your buddies and develop a leaderboard to show how well everyone has been doing. It uses the ELO ranking system made popular by chess tournaments, and it works for any one-v-one or team-v-team game or sport. We've been using an earlier build of this at my work to keep track of our ping-pong games, and it's been working well enough that I decided to release it publicly.
Right now it's completely free and open source. In the future I'll be adding a server-side component to allow users to use the same groups across multiple devices. Unfortunately I'll have to charge for that feature to cover server costs, but off-line groups will remain free. It will just be an in-app purchase to convert an off-line group into an online group.
The current version supports Android 2.1 and above, and is also optimized for tablets and GoogleTV (when v2 goes public). Online groups, when implemented, will require 2.2+ (for C2DM).

I'd love to hear some of your feedback. Either comment here or put an issue on the Google Code page.
Thanks
Hi everyone,

Each test consists of 6 questions drawn randomly from a large database, to give every time different pools. At the end of the test your profile will be displayed: if you are not satisfied redo it and find new results!
TestYou:

Can someone give me the apk for this app? I can't download it from the market.
Hi everybody
We have recently finished our word game - where real players battle online in pairs in short 60 second rounds. We are now finalizing our marketing strategy and would love your input from your experiences.
We have bought some banner ads, done a bit of ASO and bought paid reviews on certain key web sites. Has anyone got anything to add, stuff to stay away from, or websites they gave them amazing results.
The game is called WordWarX - Word Games from 1303Productions
Many thanks.
David.
The free version app is here:

You better watchout for paid review , sometimes you get banned by google because some of those website if not all of them use robot to submit reviews and not actual people
Hi XDA!
Maybe this sounds weird but hang on, I'm bean working on a fitness app 24/7 for the last 5 month and the app is getting pretty nice if you ask me.
The app is called Runbit and focus on a completly new way of running by placing stars on the map around you. I've also added extra option for hunting animals and escaping from monsters. Beside being a great looking app I've added support for the Android Wear with full map support witch are pretty insane compared to Runkeeper, Nike+ and so on..
Now comes the problem the app have around 3900 downloads on the Android platform. My question is why I'm not getting more downloads, Looking at the top30 list in Android the apps looks like crap built in 1 week and pretty obvious some black hat / ads network have boost the app to reach over 500k downloads in a month or so. Is it even possible to reach a decent user base without a budget like Nike or some blackhat magic or click farm?
First place a user looks for new apps is the top list but if "app install ads" have boost crap to the top list what will happen in the long run?
Thanks and have a nice day!
ps. If you would like to leave som feedback on Runbit or see with your own eye
