[APP] GalleryGoogle & Camera from I9505G

Here is a CWM i make from I9505G dump rom.
It will install GalleryGoogle.apk to your system folder.
I test that and it is working good.
If you are not rooted you can simply unzip the file and install it like any other .apk.

Doesn't replace any apk...
As i allready say if you whant you can extract the apk from zip file and install it.
Dont have the time to make screenshots (at work) but try it is really simpe if you dont like it at all you can simply unistall.

I got it to install, I wonder how we can get photosphere and HDR to work, thanks for sharing this

came across this on twitter today. it's the stock camera app, that installs like a regular app, so it does not replace any samsung app.
tested by myself on my i9500 with NxTGen ROM v4.0, working without problems. even photosphere!

nice share, works nice on 9500. looks almost similar to 4.2.2 app, photosphere comes by default

why don't you flash it & check it your self.?
BTW, working like a charm.

I cant install it on Google Edition ROM for 9505.
It installs as Gallery, and the system gives me an error message saying I already have an .apk with that name.

Then go to setting/app & take backup of your Gallery2.apk. then install it.

it is the same 4.2.2 camera and gallery application from 19505G with exact same size of apk.

Try going into
Settings -> Security
And make sure under Device Administration u have checked Unknown Sources
Then try it...

This don't overwrite your Samsung camera. Just uninstall it and it's done.

Why to put in system apps and have an headache to fix permission and reboot..
It can be easily installed..
Whereas this camera lacks in the panorama feature.
We can't click a wide picture.. So not a good opt over stock camera,
just a genuine review, no attempt to hurt the developer

Does this replace any camera I might have? I have the note 2 camera which I wouldn't give up for the world and then also 4.3 camera for which photosphere is n great. If this is an additional one then I'd love to have it but not at the expense of one of my existing.

if ur not rooted then use app monster to make backup of stock camera .... If rooted thn try titanium backup ... Than you can try the camera ... FOR 4.3 STOCK CAMERA LINK HERE

i have the note 2 so didnt need to install it. i bet you might have some luck if you googled "note 2 camera apk" tho

I'm not sure where this goes, and since I've tested it on only AOSP -

INSTRUCTIONS
1) Download sphere.zip in the above link
2) Extract it in your file explorer using any unzipper (AndroZip etc.) DO NOT FLASH IT LOL
3) install camera.apk. This is the Android 4.4 KitKat camera
4) Download a root browser such as ROM Toolbox (do not use ES explorer)
5) in the file that you extracted, go to folder "lib" copy and paste the 3 files in system/lib folder using the root browser, one by one, making a backup of the originals if needed.
6) open camera (the newly installed one)
Go to photosphere and enjoy.

Hmm, that's strange. Its working fine..
Interchanged? Elaborate? As in? When you move your phone horizontal, it adds the picture on the top?

I go to photosphere and preview comes up
Then the first photo clicks then when I try to align towards the right it moves upwards and when towards the left it moves downwards.
Using PAC man with stock cm kernel

Ive installed photosphere and i fell that the camera works better with photosphere than stock aosp camera app
Quality difference
And the photosphere shots at 13 mp
But the aosp.app shots at 12.8 mp

Yeah, even I realised that. Ditched aosp cam for this. Has photosphere ^_^ only problem is it doesn't save to External SD, but meh.

Hmm, it works perfectly for me, even the gallery.
I'm using the stock aosp gallery (not the one with 4.4 kitkat) and it shows me even the sphere view..
Try to uninstall the 4.4 gallery and use the 4.3 cm 10.2 gallery.

EDIT: Well... I thought it works but I can only take 3 Pictures in photosphere mode and they wont seem to finish rendering process ever.

Tried it on Crash rom (4.3 TW) and it's working fine
Shot a 6 pic sphere and it rendered and viewed in the gallery

Yeah same thing happens to me, it just keeps having me calibrate it by taking three pics over and over and can't get past it...

Change DPI on camrea app to 480 and it will fit screen...

On My Exynos note 3,
- video recording does not work (force closes app)
- panorama, VR panorama, does not work (force closes app)\
- burst shot, dual camera and time catch shot make the app unresponsive. have to close out by swiping from recent apps menu and start again.
all the other stuff seems to be working fine.
Any Ideas why i might be facing these issues?

cant tell,im cm11 rom but is a port working per rom is different..using it daily and is working just great

you shouldnt replace or delete the stock camera,these camera are just fun to have and ofcourse can be used as daily camera s but
they are all ported so they all have their pro en cons..
i use the mot.apk for taking quick shots its very fast and easy to control
the lg and the lenova are more advanced and both have some nice features/options
i would say just try..iv installed them all and also using them all for their specific options

i have no idea...never use camera s from the playstore especially no paid ones..
not to disrespect the dev but i don like the irrirating pop up every time:this is a free version go buy the pro in the playstore..
