Hello,
I’ve the Nubia Z9 max with snapdragon 615.GB RAM 5.5 Inch Android 5.0 Hi-Fi 4G LTE and I don’t find a tutorial to root it.
I try kingoroot, rootgenius but that doesn’t work.
My configuration is :
– nubia ui v2.8.1
– android version :5.0.2
– hw version: NX512JMB
– building version : NX512J_CNCommon_V2.11
Do you think that I can use the tutorial for the mini, the hardware is the same…
Thanks!

Hello,
it's really a max but with a S615! I've bought here :
http://www.nubiamobileshop.com/nubia-z9-max-3gb-16gb-black.html
As the Hw is the same that the mini, I've tried the tutorial at this link but that didn't work with my phone... :

After research, I find this soft and my nubia z9 max S615 is now rooting!

For root, you MUST first unlock the Bootloader
I don't have Mate 9 for almost 2 years now and don't know what are the current options to unlock. Search yourself here on XDA - as you see, nobody will probably answer you if you just ask, people long ago moved to the other phones (or got discouraged about rooting because of troubles with unlocking bootloder)
There are posts and guides here on XDA, please look which paid services for unlocking BL are stil alive, and if the free method (there was one) is still valid (are there all the needed tools available for download), etc
Unlocking Bootloader is the MOST complicated part

You need to unlock the bootloader, I used PotatoNV which require you to remove the backcover of the phone. Confirmed to work on mate 9

Hello all, is there any way to install any custom rom on my VIVO Y17?

Basically, I have a Vivo y17 and it has fun touch OS installed on it by default on top of Android 9. Vivo basically left this phone for dead, as I'm still stuck on Android 9 for the last 4 years (since I bought it). All of my friends are enjoying the newest Android features while I look like using a Nokia 3310. I mean, my device is stable and all, but I want to try something new.
All I'm asking is, can I install any custom ROM with the latest Android version on my phone, without breaking it? If you anyone knows anything, please do tell. Thank
Thank you!
ROM for VIVO y11

Thanks for the reply, good sir!
As a matter of fact, I know there is no official support for Vivo devices. All I'm asking is, if there's any other manual way with which we can make this work? After all, vivo is not like an "Unbreakable", "Vendor-specific" Apple device. There must be some way to tinker with the hardware, right?
