[Q] HELP! - General Questions and Answers

I can't seem to update my zenfone after unrooting. I've tried resetting it to factory default but still whenever I downloaded a file OTA, after pressing install and rebooting it shows a message that it failed to update. Please help so that I can update OTA again. I'm a newbie here and a noob on android phones because my previous phone was a windows phone, so please bear with me. :fingers-crossed:

Do you have stock recovery?

You can try Triangle Away

[Q] how do i get my phone back in it's original state?

hi,
recently i have rooted my phone to get the most out of it.
a couple of weeks ago i got this notification message that an update was available for my phone's software, so i downloaded it via OTA.
when it restarted to install the update it came into CMW recovery mode. there is an option in CMW to install the update, but when i trie to install it, i get an error mesage that sais: no such file or directory. so i tried to update it manually and to get out of CMW recovery, but nothing helps. i also tried to get it back in it's original state, but apparently no one with this phone model has ever asked it on the internet, so i can't find a solution.
can anyone on this forum please tell me how i get my phone back in it's original state? if i lose my root acces, that doesn't matter. i just want my phone back.
my phone model is:
LG Optimus L3 (e400)
please help me, i have tried other forums, but no one gave a response there.

How to update LG G Pad 7 to Lollipop

Well.
Few days ago I recived the notification for the OTA update of the tablet. I have CWM Recovery (and the device rooted, of course) and i tried to apply the OTA normaly. When the device restarts to do the update, it gets stucked in the recover.
I tried to do a factory reset, but it dosen't work (stills getting stucked at any restart). I also tried to download the OTA files into my PC and apply them throught "adb sideload", but I only have found the files for G Pad 8 /8.3.
Someone have any idea?
Thanks for all!

I am not sure what happened to my device I accidentally deleted a system file and many other files like boot and cust I don't know what I was thinking. And now my device keeps restarting and just goes into the screen where it says "Huawei Ascend Mate 7" and keeps restarting on the same scree. So I tried installing a custom rom and that didnt work, I tried to reinstall the backup I made and it kept doing the same thing I saw a thread with a ot so diffrent issue and I tried the method but it didnt work. So please Help me ASAP The advantage is that my phone bootloader is unlocked and I have CMW Recovery menu. SO if there are any methods of fixing my phone and installing the official system update please help me would really be appreciated.

Looks like you're gonna have to flash the stock recovery and reinstall the stock firmware to get it fixed.
I had a similar problem and going back to (more or less) the phone's factory setup was the only solution.

[Completed] Lenovo A5000 System Update Error

Hi everyone. My phone recently received a system update (A5000_S124_151118_8G_ROW_TO_A5000 S125_170112_8G_ROW). After downloading, a notice said that the device will reboot to install the new software. Phone reboots to recovery and after a few seconds in the process of installation, it stopped and said error.
Tried it a few times with the same result. I unroot the device thinking it could be the cause of the error. But it still didn't work. Will anyone help me figure this out?
Thank you.
Hi !
You must know that a rooted device and with a custom recovery can`t instal a OTA update , sometimes it doesn`t install and sometimes it bricks the device , your current status atm
Flash the stock firmware , check here https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/lenovo-a5000-root-recovery-roms-t3316677
Good luck !
