Is there a free way to unlock Moto G (XT1028) bootloader without paying? Motorola told me that they don't have the drivers to unlock xt1028 bootloader. There have to be an app, program, or a new s-off to unlock it for free. Can anyone help me out with my problem?
If there is not one, Maybe we can create a team of developers to help create one (an app or a pc program) and may be do more than this one device... Please PM me if any are interestin.

Hello fellow community members. I was wondering if it's possible to unlock the bootloader for my XT1032. Apparently through conventional means, I am unable to unlock my Moto G's bootloader. For whatever reason, the AT&T variant cannot be unlocked through the Motorola website. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

At this time it is not possible to unlock the bootloader for aio/cricket moto g. And to be honest I don't think anyone is trying to figure it out.
It is now possible to unlock moto g with sunshine app but cost $25

Would it be possible for someone to use the exploit by Dan Rosenburg to unlock the Verizon Moto G bootloader? I can't post links yet or I would link to it but it's near the top of /r/android at the moment
Someone please help me unlock my bootloader. I've done this Motorola method and I'm not eligible for unlock that way there has got to be a solution please help really would like to root phone. It's a moto g xt1031 boost mobile version not a developer edition running 4.4.4, CDMA thanks guys.

I have the same phone and I done had about 5 of them. There has to be something you are doing wrong. All of my phones where able to get the bootloader unlocked. They are all XT1031's from Boost Mobile. If you would like some help just PM me.
hello i have a moto g 2013 recently i restored to stock firmware which locked my bootloader . now due to a reason i want to unlock it again. while unlocking motorola sends a unique code which is used in unlocking . i did not receive that email. please help

Go to the Motorola Bootloader Unlocking site and follow the instructions on the site.
Google that, and you should be able to unlock your phone at a bootloader level.
That won't work. You'll just get a message about this device not being eligible for unlocking or something like that.

DC-Unlocker might be both your/OP's best bet if that works, but if it does not, then sadly, you might be stuck with a phone that you cannot do much, and believe me, it sucks as my brother-in-law had a Sony Xperia neo that was locked to T-Mobile, and therefore bootloader-locked, as a SIM-locked phone usually has its bootloader locked as well.
Update: after checking out the site, Motorola phones aren't supported.

Unless something has changed recently, Sunshine doesn't work either because it's 4.4.4. Even if it did- yeah, it probably doesn't make much sense to spend more money than the phone is worth to unlock it. ?
