[Completed] [Q] XGODY T93Q Apps to Flash/USB - XDA Assist

Hi, my Android tablet, the XGODY T93Q needs me to move apps to a external USB, using their jump cord. Now I KNOW that this has been asked before, I couldn't make out a clear answer. All USB's have been reformatted and cleaned completely. So What I need is
Step by step,
like ..1. plug in cord, 2, add usb, 3... sit there and look at it in wonder. 4. how to use a external mouse. I needs steps, 1-2.3. not techno jargon.
Thank you!!!

Hi, thank you for using XDA assist. Unfortunately I can't find anything about your device on XDA. If you know it's been done before can you ask how to do it there? The only other thing I can suggest is to ask here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help

[Completed] [Q] getting my windows 8.1 laptop to correctly recognise my kindle fire2

Second attempt at getting some help, - perhaps first attempt was waaay too greedy for a noobie.
Lets start simple.
I have a bricked kf2
I now have a factory cable that, when plugged in , does indeed power up the kf2 in fast boot.
The pc acknowledges that a device has been connected, but no disk drive or portable device etc appears in "my computer" [xp speak!]
In device manager, the kf2 reports as "Otter2-prod-04"
Can someone please help me connect it to the pc correctly, in order for some of the utilities to be able to interact with it - ie. more chance of unbricking it
thanks in advance
Andy
Sir,
Please review the purpose of this forum:
The mission of XDA Assist is to provide basic help to those who have tried searching but can't find what they are looking for and need assistance. This is not a "helpdesk" providing technical assistance but more to point you in the correct direction with your problem. Perhaps you can't find posts on how to root your phone, install custom recovery or maybe you have questions about how to navigate and use features on the site.
Our XDA Assist team will give you links to threads/forums that are relevant to your problem. You may be pointed towards guides and instructions that can be quite complex, so you will still need to read carefully and be cautious before attempting to make software changes to your device. It is essential you are in the correct forum for your device model; what works for one can ruin another.

[Completed] Asus ZenPad C7.0 P01Z Z170C- Available Root Methods?

Hello I am Looking to root my newly bought Asus ZenPad C7.0 (model: P01Z Z170C), I am not sure that I am in the right place to be asking but here goes. I am looking for a way to root my new tablet, I have looked through google. And I saw that there were a couple of programs that are "easy" to use but one of them is in another language and the other, Kingo root, does not seem safe to me. I have read of people having problems with it, and one of them being stealing data, another being that it installs processes that are undesireable on your pc. If someone could point me in the direction needed to root my tablet I would be grateful.
Side note: I already found out how to enable usb debugging.
Any suggestions appreciated, thank you.
A little more information
I forgot to mention I was running Android 5.0.2
If there is any other information needed to answer my question please let me know.
Thanks for using XDA Assist,
We don't have a forum specific to the Asus Zenpad 7, however your can most likely find answers to your questions in the General Help and Troubleshooting Forum, here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/help
Here are some hits I received while doing a forum search for your device: http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?searchid=386293318

[Completed] Sim tray / reader broken?

I'm trying to bring an old Medion smartphone back to life as a backup phone for me. Rooted, xposed, everything working until I tried to insert a sim card.
Exactly 4 pins are making contact with the sim card, and the card is not recognized. Is it normal that not all connections on the card are used? Or is the phone broken?
Hi,
As a Senior Member, I would say you should know your way around the site and know where to ask for help. Like here perhaps for a device with no section, http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help
And it's good to read the stickies in any section, like this one from Assist, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2764768
Assist is here to help newer members navigate the site, not for support. :good:

[Completed] USB OTG MTP between Android devices

Hi everyone!
I'm trying to transfer data from my phone to my tablet using USB OTG. So far without luck. When I plug my phone to the tablet it suggests opening the Gallery to transfer pictures.
In general USB OTG works, I can connect a mouse and everything. I can also transfer pictures from my camera to the tablet. From phone to tablet it doesn't work, no matter if I choose MTP or PTP for the connection.
The phone is a Galaxy S7 (G930F), the tablet a Tab S2 (T810). Both are rooted. How can I transfer data between them using MTP?
Thanks in advance for any help!
Hi there,
It seems that you already found the best place on XDA to post your question for both devices. Please try to understand that this forum is for point you in the correct direction with your problem/device.
Good luck
Hey Razvan!
Thanks for the advice. I posted it here, as I assume it is a general problem and doesn't have much to do with the devices used. I just gave the information about the devices for completeness.
Is this the wrong place to ask general questions that are not related to a specific device?
