[Completed] Can I manually add mobile network bands to my phone or make it think it's another mod - XDA Assist

I purchased the lenovo A808t because of it's ecxeptional price vs functionality. The problem is I bough it whilst having seen the specs to the lenovo a806 apparently. They seem to be identical except for the mobile network frequency bands, which means I can't use 4g or 3g in the netherlands. Would I be able to hack my phone and add the frequencies or make my phone think it's the a806? Or are there hardware limitations?

Tmo USA uses 1700/2100 for 4glte, 4ghspa, and 3g, this came from their website, also you need to look at their coverage map to see if these services are even offered in your main area of use

[Q] 4G LTE

Hello, I'm thinking to buy this phone, but I have a question:
is 4G available for the first SIM?
I read that 4G is available for China's frequency, but I don't know if there are the same to Italian frequency or not.
I want a phone dual sim with 4G-LTE support for the first sim and I don't find another phone.
Can you help me?
Thanks at all.

How to Add more Operating Frequencies ?

Hi guys,
I got a new moto g 3rd gen in India model XT1550, the phone is awsm and works great in India. There was no issue while using it on 4G or other operating networks in India.
But now I am in USA and I have a sim from a company called CampusSIMS. It offers some decent plans at a reasonable price. The problem is I am stuck on 2G network, whatever I do I cannot get 4G or 3G working on my phone. Later I read that mobile operating frequency for USA is different. Can anyone please tell me if any of the US carriers will support 4G on my phone. (Like does any US carrier has a operating frequency fully supported by my phone on 4g/3g)
I am planing to buy a family/group T-mobile plan with my room mates, so does anyone have any idea on how to add T-Mobile operating frequency on my phone. Is it even possible on moto g, cos i saw some post where people have success adding more operating frequency on their unlocked phone eg. samsung, zte etc. I like the phone and don't want to change it or buy a new one.
Any help regarding this is appreciated.
Thanks.

[Completed] Increasing the supported bands or frequency on Chinese phones?

Hey all,
So I recently have been looking into Chinese phones and have realized that there are some great competitively priced phones on the market, in particular I am interested in the Lenovo Lemon k3. However I have T-mobile, which support Bands 2, 4 and 12 for 4G LTE, most Chinese phones however do not support those bands. I was wondering if its possible to root and then mod any of these phones to support all Bands, I dont want to buy one and be stuck using 2G coverage.
Thanks,

[Completed] Problem with lte on my xperia x

Hello,
I'm actually from Germany, but i find this forum very useful..thats why i hope, you can help me with my problem.
I purchased a Sony xperia x online. Everything works fine except the LTE. It's very bad and unstable. I used an iPhone 6 plus before and there was no problem with lte.
I checked every setting, but everything seems fine.
I checked with the app Lte Discovery which lte band the device uses for lte connection and it said band 20. So i can be sure it has the Lte band 20, can't I?
I also found out on xpericheck that the installed firmware is for devices from switzerland.
So I want to ask you, if it's possible that the device doesn't really support band 20 because it's from another country? I haven't found any model of the xperia x online, which doesn't support lte band 20.
I would give you some screenshot but the forum doesn't allow me to do this.
Thank you in advance
