Clear the cache & data of 'Play store' & 'Google Services Framework.'
Do update here if it solves the problem.
BTW are you still gonna make some banners for galaxy r users?

Does it show any error or is it just force closing? Try removing ur google account from ur phone. Go to Settings->applications->all->Play store-> Clear Cache. Do a reboot then add the account again. Also check the version of Play store. :fingers-crossed:

Just like cooleagle said above. And if you have a problem with downloading from play webstore (After wiping cache and data,) re-login to Gtalk! It should do the trick. Sometimes you may have to wait a while for effects (half an hour, hour) though.

I am facing the same issue. Download/update simply fails to 'start' for majority of apps such as adobe reader and youtube. However, I can download/updste some apps such as facebook. I had tried clearing dalvik cache and relogin to my google account. But nothing seems to solve it.

Try the method as suggested by cooleagle and m.kochan10
How do I wipe data for play store and google service framework?
settings ->program->all -> navigate to those apps, tap and there you'll fing those options.
Sometimes, if you share SD cards between devices can trigger this problem. Try without a SD to see if this is the cause.
I did the data wipe, and downloads/updates are fine now.
I am again unable to download app updates from market. I again did dalvik cache wipe, and data wipe for google play and google framework service. I am getting error 497. Google search didn't yield anything helpful. Can someone suggest another solution?

Use any task killer/switcher & switch to Google play store which is already running in the background or start it once & then switch to it.
Even if the above doesn't help them click on 'Uninstall Updates' in the by going to Settings => Applications => Mange atop => Google Play app => Uninstall Updates.
Do update here if it helps.
Cheers !
Try making another gmail account for play store . IMO if nothing has worked so far , a hard reset might help but keep a back up of your data before you attempt that.

@cooeagle: thanks for the suggestion. However even this didn't work.
@pulley06: thanks for the suggestion. I am keeping full reset as my last option.

Guys I have a Note 2. I am unable to update my apps over my 3G network though I am able to download all apps. Though few apps such as chrome and dropbox and a couple others I am able to update over the 3G network. I tried to clear data of play store, play store framework, tries the factory reset but nothing seems to work. The apps are able to update over wifi or through the play webiste when my phone is connected to 3G. Dont know what the problem is. Please help guys.
Hey! Thanks a lot worked like charm! No need to reset to factory settings!
Hi ,
im using nextgen rom in explorer. since yesterday im able to open google play in my phone. when i do the application stucks and says to force close the play store.
need help how i can fi it
thanks
Try to delete playstore's data, "menu>app's>clear data" also from there clear cache.
Google play store app is force closing whenever I try to enter the store.
Google play store is force closing EVEN WHEN I TURN ON THE PHONE, AS SOON AS THE OS BOOTS.
I tried to reflash stock, reinstall recovery and reroot.Result: nothing
I tried the clear data,cache from SETTINGS->APPLICATIONS->MANAGE APPS.Result: nothing
I tried moving2sd/moving back to phone.Result: nothing
I tried to download the googleplay apk and install it.Result: nothing
Does it has something to do with the fact that I removed some bloatware apps(like softwareupdate.apk which runs nonstop and eats RAM) with TitaniumBackup? Is the GooglePlay app inseparable from some bloatware which shouldn't be removed?
Can somebody help me with the proper solution? What else can I try in order to fix this?I have galaxy fit on 2.3.6 stock.
Thanks.
If you're rooted and all I would suggest flashing another version of gapps perhaps or reflashing the same version after wiping cache, and dalvik cache.
Ok, but GAPPS contains GooglePlay plus more google-related apps, right? The thing is that I don't want all that google $hit. I just want Google Play Store.
Thanks
Then u won't b able to use it. coz it basically needs ur account info (which depends on "Google Services Framework" )+other apps. In short, Play Store doesn't run as stand alone app...!!
hello all members
i am having a problem with my s3 (E210-L) korean version. My playstore giving me error 491 i am unable to download or update anything.
i have done any possible method wiping the cache. removing google account etc even i have flashed stock rom again but all in vein. problem still persist please please somebody help me to correct this.
Hi there,
First try this method:
Go to system settings>> Accounts>>Google>>Remove your Gmail account (the account that is synched with Google Play Store)
Now from settings>>Apps>>All> Force stop, Clear data and cache for Google Play Store, Google Service Framework and Download Manager
Reboot your device.
Now again go to settings>> Accounts>>Google>>Add your Gmail account
Rerun Google Play Store and update or install your app.
Click to collapse
if that doesn't work try this one:
Reboot into recovery
Wipe cache partition
Go to Advanced >> Wipe Dalvik Cache
Now go back and Reboot system
Rerun Google Play Store and update or install your app.
Click to collapse
And last one:
1- Go To Settings\General\Application Manager
Then Go To All
Go Down Till You Find (Google Api)
2- Uninstall It (You Will Find That You Did Uninstall Google Play)
3- Download Google Play APK Into Your Phone Then Install It
Click to collapse

Hi everyone, I've been facing problems to install whatsapp on my Galaxy Ace. It all started when I booted into CWM Recovery and selected the fix permissions option in advanced menu. After that I was able to install every compatible app except for whatsapp. I hav tried everything
Wipe Data, Cache, Dalvik Cache
Wipe System, Data, Cache
Clearing download manager and google play store data. Uninstalling updates for google play
Flashing the official stock rom -Odin
Deleting the whatsapp folder from the root folder using ES file explorer
I tried installing whatsapp using Google play store and the app was installed, but when I run that app, I get an error message " whatsapp was not installed properly. Please reinstall the app from Google play store.
I'm fed up now. You are the only hope XDA. Plz help me out. Thanks - Ali Reza
