[Theme] [Stock 5.0] Minimal Flat Quick Circle Weather Watchfaces - G3 Themes and Apps

~ A MeepOS Sprinkles Development ~
Currently on hold. Sorry!
I didn't really enjoy the stock watchfaces in the weather watchface so I decided to make my own, minimalized.
Update: There have been mixed results with other stock-based ROMs. Your results may vary. Remember to always backup

This works on stock (stock based?) and brings more customizability without Xposed!
Also included - Flat Black Analog Watchface.
This zip will replace the default black analog watchface and the default weather watchface with the new styles.
Download and flash FlatFaces2.zip in recovery and reboot!
Flash at your own risk. I cannot 100% guarantee it will work with your ROM.
To restore originals flash StockFaces.zip and reboot.
Enjoy! I'm open to comments/questions/suggestions/requests/criticism/donations!

Flashed them and there are no new faces in the selection menu of the Quick Circle. CloudyG3 2.3 rom.

Really sorry to hear that! Just to clarify, the zip only replaces the second watchface and the last watchface, which is the weather one, so the remaining watchfaces should be unchanged. On Cloudy the weather watchface doesn't work however and crashes (for me at least), so the only change you would see is the second black watchface.

I'll try this today and let you know the results as I had crashing weather on cloudy 2.3 too.
I'm on 2.4 now and circle weather works fine so hopefully your mod will work. Cross fingers.
Update
The weather clock works on cloudy 2.4, but the clock app stops when you try to use any of the functions that are behind the clock face. I backed up before trying this out.
I tried to flash your stock zip to check if that works on cloudy 2.4 and it does, but with the same issues with the functions behind the clock (settings camera phone etc etc)

I'm really sorry about that! I didn't encounter that so I'm not sure what could be causing the crashes. It might be a difference between stock and Cloudy. I might work on a compatible mod for Cloudy 2.4 later.

Is using settings after you swipe away the clock working for you?
My tests weren't very scientific as I have dirty flashed 2.4, but if your quick circle is working properly on 2.4 I know I have to do a clean install.

Yes, the settings in the quickcircle after swiping the clock. I also did a dirty flash of the 2.4 and it work ok without FC. But I've noticed it hasn't a rule. With other error and FC's it was enough to dirty flash again the rom, other times it was necessary a clean install. This time, the update was enough.

i installed this zip on cloudy 2.4 (rom flashed clean), but in quick circle i see only and always the clock default. what have i to do after flash for see weather clock on quick circle when i close cover??? perhaps i didn't understand and after flash i have to set anything? thanks

Hi, sorry for the late reply. If you didn't know, you have to manually change the watchface. Swipe from the edge of the watchface to reveal the menu. Touch the setting icon, and you will be brought to a selection carousel for watchfaces. If you scroll to the very last one you should see the weather watchface. Hope this helps!

[LOCKSCREEN} MyMetroLock Update: 13.4.2010

This is a variant of my quite popular WP7S Lockscreen (which can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=651045)
MyMetroLock

What's new in this version
1. hardcoded background picture (the blue metro icons)
2. left aligned text matching the Metro guidelines by Microsoft
3. new font "Zegoe" Light and Regular (will be installed with the CAB) matching the Metro design
4. possibility for your own user picture!
5. skinned notifications (except voicemail - I don't use/need that)
A word about requests and compatibility:
This lockscreen is provided "as it is". I made it for a stock ROM HTC HD2 (1.66) and it works fine for me. Feel free to modify it to your wishes but - if you do - give a small credit to this thread. There might be issues with custom ROMs and other devices - I can't change that - sorry.
What should I do if I find an error?
Just post your screenie and I'll see what I can do
Update 13.4.2010: new release as MyMetroLock
Update 13.4.2010, 15.07: fixed an error with userpic - please re-download cab!
Installation:
a) grab the cab attached below.
b) remove all other lockscreen mods than install my cab.

I really like this lockscreen, it's so clean.
However when using a bright wallpaper, you can clearly see that the clock is cut off at the bottom.. hope you understand what I mean! Just try it out.
Also I wonder in this Link http://www.mobilitynews.net/?p=11018 , is all notification icons skinned in that version to?

Of course, here is the result:
As you can see, there are only a slight cut off on the "0" on the clock now. However as I have marked, there are some cut offs at the calendar also.

Fast answer: Only the "g" (Imorgon) is slightly cut off now, Everything else looks perfect.

[Morph] Smooth BlackBar for MCR-R19 Froyo ONLY

This is the same Blackbar I had been keeping updated for Enom and Cyan ROMs for a while. I have updated it for Modaco MCR-R17 Froyo.
Includes:
Desire status bar and icons
Transparent power control widget with green highlights
Shiny black popup boxes
Green highlighting on the geniewidget
Maybe some other stuff I don't remember.
To-Do: I just noticed the debug icon on the shade looks stupid. So I will fix the icon tomorrow and put out an update. -DONE
Also going to make the pull down shade more transparent. Not really liking the gray look.
You need the newer version of metamorph to be able to apply this. (xml version)
I have no intention of changing ANYTHING in this morph for any reason. THIS is how *I* want my morph to look. If you don't like something about it, feel free to look elsewhere or change it yourself. I won't be offended.
This version will ONLY work with the newest Modaco ROM posted on 24 June, 2010.

I get a soft reset right after applying the 4th part in metamorph. The clock and text is white but the bar is white also. still the same after a real reboot
will this work with LeoFroyo 0.35 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=693595 ?
Screenshots?

Mine applied 3 times without a hitch. Dunno what would cause that. Possibly a corrupt download?

I still haven't figured out how to get a screenshot on Froyo. My ddms don't work for whatever reason. (Ubuntu 9.10)
The Screens look very similar to the ones found here in the original post.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=623985&highlight=smooth+black
The only exception is the coloring and alignment on the geniewidget are better and the power control widget is transparent with green highlights.

Thanks for the tip on the app. I will get some SS up when it finishes installing.
EDIT SS posted...
wow this is nice. i'm still using froyo with the black notification bar with the gray circle around the clock. guess i have to flash a new froyo ROM, huh? i'm still using the original with cyanogen's rooter. just so lazy to start over!
and once official froyo is released, wont we all have to start over again with flashing the new update?

Yes, once the new updates finally make it to AOSP, there will be all sorts of new ROMs coming out and you will need to pick one that you like. Most likely, I will update this to work with Enom and Cyan once they get their respective ROMs out.
Thats the name of the game though, flash, flash, and flash some more until you get one you really like. It's not like it is hard or time consuming really. It only takes a minute to flash a new ROM and be up and running.

How do out guys save all your info when flashing though? A nand backup doesn't work from a different ROM, right? Always wondered about best way to save info like call log, texts, browser cache, etc.
does trackball notifications with screen-on still work after this mod? Currently i have "the other" black bar out there and the notifications only work with screen-off now..

I have the exact same problem. Latest MCR 17 and now I have white text but the bar color has not changed.
I had the same problem when I tried to do a different theme with an older MCR release.
Does anyone know why might be the cause?

Same problem.
Even did fresh mcr17 install.. same
When I get home from work tonight I will download the various versions of MCR 17 and check them out. I used a 'custom bake' to make it. But I would think the base framework and services would be the same.
As for the question about saving texts and so forth when flashing, I *think* titanium backup and my backup pro both have that option. I don't know since I never save anything when I flash. I try to keep the new ROM as cleaned up as possible for top performance.
Also looking for which versions people are using most. Paul has 4 different versions of R17 posted.
Code:
- r17 with default MoDaCo additions
- r17 with default MoDaCo additions and A2SD -
- r17 with default MoDaCo additions and Chinese input
- r17 without default MoDaCo additions
I'm using r17 without additions and I'm encountering the same reboot issue on step 4.
I am using a custom kitchen version of MCR r17
can't seem to figure out how to get "status_bar_background.png" transparent, .png that show transparent anywhere else won't be transparent when in framework-res...i'm pretty sure i had pulled the transparent from eclair smooth blackbar, but it doesn't remain transparent on froyo...
Stock R17 (no additions,) getting the reboot and white text/white bar.
I had the same problem with white text and white notifications. I just applied step four again and did a reboot now everything is working perfectly. Great work I love how this looks especially the transparent pop up boxes.

[THEME/ROM] (V0.2) - No not my gumdrop buttons for 6.1.1! UPDATED 12-16-10

Here is Gingerbread. I will be updating this as time goes on! Credit to Cyanogen for CM6.1.1 and jblazea50 for the original port. In no way do I take credit for anything ROM wise. This ROM is totally Cyanogen besides graphic wise. I am making a new thread so I can update the OP.
NOTE: This isn't just a theme but a themed rom. This is CM6.1.1 Final with the theme in it.
NOTE: I am not responsible for any broken/bricked/jizzed on phones...
Installation instructions:
Download both files and place on root of your sdcard.
Reboot into recovery.
Full wipe RECOMMENDED (although some have done it without).
Flash themed rom.
Flash themed gapps.
Reboot.
DO NOT PLAY WITH NOTIFICATION BAR COLORS OR XML! Only change clock colors and notification colors or it will screw the notification bar up!
Changelog:
V0.2 - Updated to 6.1.1 and based of Nexus S system dump.
V0.1 - Basic gingerbread elements.
SCREENS.

[THEME][2.2] Slimer ~ Cyanogen 6 & FreeX10 ~ Feb 19, 2011

This theme was tested on CM6 and FreeX10 (thanks, bcool15 for testing on FX10!)
This theme's base is desire/cyanogen6
I do not take credit for any of the graphics used in this theme!!! It is a hybrid of Sempiternal's X FX10 theme and this theme created by vukandric. Big thanks to both of them for all the hard work they have put into creating both these themes!!!
Slimer v1.0
*install with Xrecovery
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=XG5BCLK6
For anyone who is interested in the CM tweaks file I'm currently using I have included it in the download. This will complete the theme, including battery percentage, etc, just like shown in my screenshots. Extract the rar file directly to your SD card's root folder. The filepath should look like this:
SD card>CMtheme>Slimer.xml
Open android settings and navigate to CM settings>user interface>tweaks extras>select a theme....select Slimer.

The battery meter is supposed to flash when it charges. Without the tweaks applied the percentge won't show. Sorry, I will reupload the theme with the phone app. I forgot to include it with the theme originally.
Dock icons are part of launcher pro, not the theme.
I looked at the theme and the phone apk is included already. However, if for some reason it didn't take, you can install this custom zip with recovery

Also, there is this gray bar along the top of the lockscreen that shows my provider on the right but also has a Plus sign in the middle and then just gray to left. I tried adjusting the settings for the Date and Provider settings in CM Settings but nothing seems to make the bar disappear. It will make my provider information disappear but the plus sign and gray bar remain. Any suggestions?

Some things need you to reboot your phone after changing in the tweaks menu. Try restarting your phone and see if it helps....I'm pretty sure the power widgets is one of those items

I rebooted a few times after changing things (it gives a prompt to do so after you change anything) and still no go.
The Settings menu and dialer also doesn't look like it does in your screen shot so I tried reinstalling it and the theme with the same result. I'm considering reinstalling Beta 4 and starting from scratch again.......
Any other suggestions?
I really don't know what to tell you...it should work. The phone app I posted is the correct one. If it's not changing on your phone then it's not installing properly for some reason...I'm not sure why, but if you're willing to try a fresh install from scratch, then go for it!!

I have no doubts that it should work, just trying to figure out why it isn't.
I have quite a few backups from the stuff I was doing so it's not a problem to get back to my previous 2.1 install. It's just a pain.....making a backup as I type this.
I'll try to restore the backup I made before I installed the theme and if that doesn't work, then I guess I'm back to the reinstall Beta 4 option.

So I restored to before installing the theme and still no dice. Restoring back to 2.1 right now and then will try reinstalling Beta 4 and trying again.
Just out of curiousity, with which basebands is this theme meant to work? I am running baseband .55 and was wondering if that might have something to do with the issues I was experiencing.

[TESTER NEEDED][WIP][Theme-2.2] RealBlueOrange v0.4

{4/20/2011/10:02 PM PST}Theme has been updated to V0.3! Screenshots, too! FONT HAS ARRIVED!
{4/20/2011/10:15 PM PST}Screenshots have been updated.
{4/21/2011/8:04PM PST}Sorry for the glitchy zip on the font packaged theme. I reformatted the whole thing and the tester reports proper function.(The one posted before this edit caused cpu to always run at 998mhz, the phone to be sluggish, and random reboots to occur.)
Alright. The Title contains WIP because This isnt what I'd call a complete theme yet. This thread is for suggestions, testing, and even installing, should one like it the way it is. Bugs, not workings, those 9 yards, all go here, as usual.
This is a 2.2 FroYo Theme, based on the arc theme default in Wolfbreak's CyanogenMod. Therefore, the HW LED's work. I'd love to have auto brightness instead, so if anyone knows how to do that PLEASE PM me. What I'm talking about is the opposite of say Wolf patching a theme for HW LED's between buttons.
SCREENSHOTS of V0.1/V0.3- it's a mishmash of what i didnt need to post another shot of and what I did:

A cool feature: let it wear down to about half battery life, and then plug it in an watch the icon. A little treat, I'm calling it.

Now that I'm close to beign done fixing things(I hope), I have a vote to take in.
Tell me what battery icon mod you want that's not crossed out from below.
Don't worry about Animation, or that first REVolution (it only has that blue dot in the middle). I'll test out the smooth one and if it doesnt work then I'll just keep the normal one.
EDIT: I have the zip working again. Question is, do we want to keep simacid's battery mod? Because I currently have that hoooolm battery icon. The charging animation is also really great, and the icon fades through the colors as the battery charges/discharges. Once that's decided, I'll update OP with the other features I added. Then I might find time to make a flashable zip of the font.
Need opinions, guys.

Well I already updated first post. Xrecovery Zip Fixed! And about the dialer, I'm using Wolfbreak's ARC one. It's not in this theme though.

You're quite welcome. Any other suggestions or requests? After all I did post it in big letters for a reason...
Just a quick feedback, after flashing the theme I noticed some sluggishness. So i checked my system panel and found my CPU was running at 100% at all time. Rebooted 3 times now, will revert back my backup and see if it works hmm
UPDATE:
Back to normal already now after reverting back to my backup, no idea whats wrong
