[Completed] About rooting and the correct CF-file - XDA Assist

So i have Samsung galaxy s3 LTE (4G) Running with stock and official stuff and such.
Model: GT-I9305
Android: 4.4.4
BuildID: I9305XXUFOA1
I have no experience about rooting whatsoever and decided to give it a go now.
So my question about the CF-file is: Does it matter if the file description shows different "build ID" than my phone does (my phone: I9305XXUFOA1 the file: KTU84P.I9305XXUFNL1)?
Everything else checks out fine (the android version and model)
Thanks!

You can post your issue in the general S2 help thread.
It's created in the GT-I9100 forum, but help is provided for all S2 variants.
EDIT:
A friend of mine, @KJ, just wrote:
That's the Canadian version of the T-Mobile S2 t989...Hercules.
He'd be better served going to that forum I think. Its the same phone.
My guess is he probably would be better flashing the Telus firmware and checking APN settings. They're probably not there for telus, or wrong.
I can help him if he goes there....I have the t989d also.
So please check the device specific forum, as your issue may be a device specific one. And you could get better/quicker help there.

[Completed] Please Help: Unbricking Galaxy S6

Background: Friend's Galaxy S6 ; SM-G920F ; Android 5.1.1 ; Bricked when failed to root
Hello, I am posting on behalf of a friend who bricked his phone. He accidentally flashed the 5.0.2 CF autoroot when his phone had updated to 5.1.1. Normally, this would be easy to fix by flashing its stock firmware.
However, we have no idea what the country of origin or carrier of the phone are. We only know the model number, SM-G920F, the IMEI, and serial number. I have tried using Samsung's new smart switch to detect the correct firmware, but it did not work. Unfortunately, my friend purchased his S6 from a not-so-trustworthy seller from Indonesia and has not been able to get a hold of them. We only have access to the sticker with its model, serial, and IMEI numbers on the phone's back. Any help or tips will be appreciated. We just want to unbrick his phone. Thanks in advance!

[Completed] Rooting SPH-710T

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3. The carrier is Virgin Mobile. They are on the Sprint Network. My model is the SPH-L710T. The build number is KOT49H.L710TVPUOAOF2. It's currently running Kit Kat 4.4.2.
I have seen/read a successful rooting protocol for the SPH-710 but none for my particular model.
If anyone can point me to a successful rooting protocol and ROM for my particular phone, I'd be most appreciative.
Thanks in advance.

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
As you may have already found out, there is an XDA area dedicated to the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S II at http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3-sprint but not everything there applies to the SPH-L710T. I suggest you post your question with all relevant details there where the experts familiar with your device might be best able to guide you. I also see a number of references to your model from a site search a thttp://forum.xda-developers.com/sitesearch.php?q=SPH-L710T which might be worth reviewing.
Good luck!

[Completed] No LTE on boostmobile with Samsung Galaxy S4

Hello all,
First time poster here so hoping to drop this off in the right place. I have a brand new (out of the box) Samsung Galaxy S4 which I just purchased from my Boostmobile dealer the other day. Installed the latest Cynogenmod on it only to find that LTE did not work. 3G works fine but this prompted me to look around for help. After discussing in #SGS4 on freenode, I wiped the phone and installed the latest Optimized cm 12.1 build. Again, same problem. LTE does not work and 3G does.
Model: SPH-L720
ROM: OptimizedCM-12.1-20150817
Carrier: Boost Mobile
Something tells me my problem relates to the carrier?
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. I'm assuming you didn't have this problem on stock? It could be adb issues with cm. But I'd ask your question here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2374543. They are the experts on your device. You can also find your device's forum here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2374543
