What is the best ROM/kernel combination for a Android 4.4.x ROM?

Stock 05Q or SlimKat. For KitKat is also worth to use the OxygenOS Modem (only) as it gave much more reception than the CM one. If you already used Lollipop, be sure to flash the older firmware and use the guides ib the general thread regarding downgrade to avoid any issues.

Color OS is amazing true, but there are no customization that makes the rom pretty annoying to use.

You right. I want to know too since i have FIUI from MIUI forum
seems nice I have seen the post on MIUI too, but haven't tried it that yet... whats so special about this rom ? (just curious) have tried to search some youtube videos but they don't show much about the rom... I mean special features...
I need to apologize. After Rereading the rules, I should have brought this up in PM to the Developer. I am abhorred by my actions and would like to dismiss myself from all future posts on this thread.
This is my last post on here unless something comes up in future discussion.
Once again, my apologies.

So first, your link points to an old alpha build. As i could understand that thread, they use FIUI 2.5.0, while my build uses latest 2.11.0.
Second, my build is based on Xperience.cyanogeN, so battery life and sound should be a little bit better.
And NO, i didn't used the port method mentioned in that thread. You can read that in credits.
And NO, i didn't steal that port. Mine is based of Nexus 4 build by nic and was 'compiled' yesterday.
Plus, this Rom should be stable - not alpha. It's based on CM11 M12 - i had no FC except FIUI Launcher but that's not my part, it also happens on offical N4 build.

FIUI's navigation Method is different:
You dont have the default nav bar. On some apps you dont have any at all (e.g. homescreen, camera), on some you only have back and menu buttons.
Home and recents can be used by swiping from bottom center and bottom right.
Then, the statusbar will be tinted automaticly, like iOS.
And FIUI has an own design, something like miui in Material .
do we have cynogen apps in rom or fiui apps ? like camera music player etc ?
Nice Rom, just installed as 2nd Rom with multirom.
Good feature - the dynamic navbar.
Gapps: is it too much to read the op?
I believed that it was under lollipop... Pity ... What is exactly fui could we compare it to miui ?
Just download the rom and try it out.
It will not hurt you.

Yes, it's also a chinese Rom. Fiui looks similar MIUI6. Fiui is currently based on CM11, sorry. I know it's not the best time to release a Rom based on 4.4.4 kitkat.

Yep. Emui is as close as we're gonna get to CM. CM is usually buggy anyways. It still is on my Nexus 6P. AOSP based is much better but we won't see that either on the X2. If the phone has a Kirin processor then forget about seeing any AOSP or CM based roms.
Ok, so Cm and AOSP lovers should switch to Mediapad M2 7.0 and it's snapdragon
I'll re-read the simply google romthread , I did post the link above, I guess I misunderstood...

Here is link to working Nougat rom for LG G3 D850. Now including Nougat 7.1
crdroidandroid rom.
I am not a developer. All credits to crdroidandroid for bringing Nougat to D850.
Based on CM14. Rooted. Some customization options. Daily driver.
Recommend Open Gapps 7.0 Nano for ARM processor.
Open Gapps 7.1 Pico for ARM processor.
Use this Google camera app to avoid video camera bug. You just sideload the APK and use it instead of the provided system camera. The APK says for Nougat 7.0 but it works for 7.1 also.

I just tried a clean flash of this. It seemed to install properly, except that my wifi could no longer connect to my home network. I restored to my MM backup, but has anyone else experienced this issue?
Wifi was good for me from the start.
Maybe try rebooting phone once after setup?
Could you see the wifi in the network list?
Is your modem baseband listed as 0.1.c1.13-00050-m8974AAAAANPZM-1 ?
I tried rebooting, to no avail. I could see the WiFi sources, but the phone could not connect to them. I did try rebooting several times.
Pardon my noobness, but I don't actually know how to check my base band version.

I flashed it and then regulated with Nougat. I think I may have a line on the problem. When using Google's backup and restore option, I seem to lose WiFi connectivity after the third app is reinstalled. Of I choose not to restore my apps and settings, it works fine.
So, something weird is happening during the reinstall. One of those apps doesn't seen to like the new ROM very much.

https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2446145
Hi Everyone,
I am using a XZ Premium dual card (G8142) bought from China, the current rom for me is official Hong Kong 47.2.A.10.107
This phone works quite well before upgraded to Android 9, but now it crashes sometimes which is very annoying.
Sometimes it crashes when playing games, but not limited to that.
I am looking for a stable rom so I can enjoy maybe another year with XZ premium
Thanks in advance
Been using Carbon rom since october, rom performance is best.
yeah carbon is the most stable from what i have experienced. the lineage 16 is a constant battery drain cause the creator overclocked the cpu, the remix has sluggish in certain area's, and the sodp aosp 10 is a bug nightmare. I got it barely stable but was limited to stock aosp camera only so i gave up on it.
Thank u guys
