I rooted my Xperia SP (c5302) using towelroot app but haven't updated it to any ROM. I just rooted it. I haven't proceeded further because I realized that this app Good For Enterprise wont work on Rooted devices. It was showing a dialog to report to it administrator then I unrooted my android using SuperSu app. After that I checked it with root cheker basic it was showing this device is not rooted properly(something like that) but the problem is I again downloaded Good app but it wont work A dialog "Good app is Unfortunately stopped working" appearing repeatedly
Is there anyway to run good for enterprise. This app is important to me
I haven't unlocked bootloader

Hello friends,
I'm new to this forum and also to Android phones just have a rough idea about it. Now I've just bought a new SE LWW and upgraded to Android 4.0.4 from 2.3.4 using Sony PC Companion. But when I opened bluetooth tab for the first and tried to change the Device name I was unable because I was not able to see any tab of "Change Device Name" (I've turned ON Bluetooth), so anyone can please explain me how can I change Bluetooth Device name?
And also What are the benefits of Rooting? Should I root my phone (I've fear of Bricking)? If yes how should I root my SE LWW Android-4.0.4? Also can I unroot my phone back? How? Also please give every detail in brief! Hope so the members will help me to the extent.
Thanks,
Charizard.
Somebody please help me!:crying::crying:
Try asking Google?? Or look around forums maybe even ask somone who is in the Sony forums they more likely to know

Don't try to root if warranty matters to you. Also remember that a failed rooting effort can brick your device. Rooting benefits are:
Installing root specific apps
Installing clockwork recovery mod
Changing OS and ROM of your device.

I have lww too my friend.
For rename Bluetooth in 4.0.4 you have to go to settings and Bluetooth and touch menu ( that's a touchable button near home button in down of you phone ) and now you can see : Rename my Device ! Enjoy !
.......
But about rooting.
You must downgrade ( by flashtools ) your phone to 2.3 and root it and now again upgrade to 4.0.4 and now you can root this phone.
You can root your phone by flashtools.
Download it ( flashtools )
You can install custom rom by it....
And do very things! And enjoy...

Thanks a lot saeed74 but i think I should not root!!!
That very not true..
U will void a warranty on a sony by unlocking the bootloader..as u got to do it officially and they have the info in their server. Rooting however, would not as they won't know if u ever did it. Just flash it with stock rom before sending it.
2011 Xperia has some limitations than can only be solve by root.
1)link2sd to solve the low internet memory
2)swap, to maybe help with the low ram
3)uninstalling bloatware
4) install 2012 Xperias apps like walkman
Xtra reason
1) stop seeing advertisement
2) use vpn to safe some data quota
3)

Hello World!
So I have a problem with my device, I rooted a lot of phones before but I just can't root this one, tried faramroot, towelroot, rootgenius, kingoroot, oneclickroot, mobogenius.....I just can't root it, it says it's "too sold" so, are there any tools I've missed?
Sorry for bad english, it's not my native language.
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA Assist You cannot root a device straight away you have to first research few things and then you have to adapt it to your device
Good Luck!
I tried too, but all instructions say to use the tools i already tried, so what else could i try, it's running kitkat 4.4.2, mby root by using update.zip, 'cause i can accses the chinise recovery, but there is no option to install from zip, just update.zip

I have installed CyanogenMod12.1 on my Lenovo a6000Plus Lollipop following this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-a6000/development/best-cm12-1-rom-lenovo-a6000-plus-withe-t3288805 . Everything worked flawlessly. And my mobile is also working great. But, only problem is that it seems like root access is not working perfectly after installing the ROM. To clear doubt, I installed Root Checker which also said "Root access is not perfectly installed". I need the root access back badly for various reason. What should I do now ? Should I just root my phone using SuperSu.zip? I don't want to use any Rooting App.
Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist,
please go into the developer options and enable root there.

First i had an lgg3 which got bricked or something all i can gather from a repair shop is something in the firmware was deleted anyone happen to have a link to something that i may be able to use to fix it? My g3 was a helluva lot better than my new one which is the second part. I was running a completely custom ROM on it modified using pimp my ROM. The glitch happened after I tried to fix the unstable root I had on it from using pois0n, I think it was, I restored it and tried stump root after it was patched ( though it worked since I restored it to its original KitKat) later i was modifying using a rom tool which I got off of here, can't remember which, and then it wouldn't run any Internet apps and i rebooted and it never loaded stays on lg boot screen and light changes colors that's all
Second
I recently bought a cheap Alcatel dawn model 5027b every thing about it is official running marshmallow 6.0.1. I've tried Root tools Kingo root and fredaroot no luck.
I tried to use chain fires super root but for some reason that one didn't want to give me anything more than super su ( glitch in download link?). Could I get a hand? Or a direct download of super root?
