*Make sure you have a custom recovery installed. (TWRP is the preferred recovery)
*Download the latest Bliss Rom & the latest GApps package.
*Boot into recovery.
*Perform a FULL factory wipe and wipe/system and dalvik cache as a precaution
*Flash Bliss Rom
*Flash Google Apps package (for 5.1!)
*First boot may take up to 10 minutes
If you have a major bug to report that has not been reported already, and is not a known issue with CM,
please take the following steps to report it to us. It will save you time, as well as us.
-Download the Catlog app from the Play Store.
There is also a donate version which you can purchase to show appreciation.
-After downloading the Catlog app, go to the app settings, and change the log level to Debug.
-Clear all previous logs and take the exact steps to produce the error you are receiving.
-As soon as you receive the error (probably a force close), go straight into Catlog and stop the log recording.
-Copy and paste the entire log either to Hastebin or Pastebin
-Save the log, and copy and paste the link into the forum with a brief description of the error.
-You can also open trouble tickets on our website for bugs.
Team Bliss is a team consisting of developers and device maintainers that work on this project in our
spare time to be able to give Android users a custom rom packed with features that will make a lasting impression.

GUIDE, FAQ and Useful Links
Much of what follows applies to many ROMs. If you have suggestions for things to be added to this guide or find any errors then please let me know.
Purpose and Rules of XDA
XDA is a developers site. It is for learning and sharing. It is not here to "provide" apps or support to users. Most of the people that develop or help or support do so in their free time. No one "owes" you anything. You are not "entitled" to anything. Those that help others, are polite and try to help themselves will be more likely receive helpful and polite assistance.
Rule number one of XDA is : Search
Other rules include:
Be respectful
Be tolerant
Be hepful
Don't be an ass
Q&A or Dev Thread?
There is a separate development thread and Q&A/Discussion thread. Right now, I am happy for you to report all issues in the development thread.
But as it is a development thread, you should provide logs where ever possible and only report bugs if you have clean flashed. Telling others there may be an issue if you dirty flash is acceptable but please word it as such not a bug.
A little banter is accepted in the development thread, but please don't turn the thread into a chat room. Let's keep it fun but not so long nobody can be bothered to read, otherwise I'll have to revert to using the Q&A.
The Q&A is still there and available and is more "free".
Flashing
You should clean install for best results. If you "dirty flash" then at least wipe cache and dalvik/ART and you MUST provide logs with any issues.
Clean v Dirty Flash
There are a number of interpretations of clean flash. In recovery you should factory reset or wip everything except internal storage. This will wipe your apps and most app settings.
Whilst there are ways of backing up your settings they are not recommended because they can cause issues when there are changes to the ROM which affect how settings are stored or recorded. Do not restore system data: this often leads to forced closes and constant error messages.
You can use a backup app like Titanium Backup or Parcel. Sometimes restored apps can cause issues, and it is better and cleaner to re-download them, although not everyone has the time or inclination to do this.
If you do not wipe as per above, then you are dirty flashing. This is quicker and often works. But because things are left behind from the previous flash this can result in weird issues. When you dirty flash you really should wipe cache and dalvik/ART, so that there aren't residual
Reporting Issues
Before Reporting Issues
If you have issues with your new flashed system there are a few things to do before you report them.
First, if you have dirty flashed then try a clean flash to see if the issue remains - many issues are cleared this way. Also, it is very difficult to pin-point certain issues after a dirty flash.
Also, if you have Xposed installed then remove that before reporting. This is because Xposed can change things deep within the OS and make things behave differently, which in turn makes it very difficult to troubleshoot and resolve issues. This is Xposed hate - many devs require this and will not offer any support if Xposed is installed.
Reboot. It's surprising how many issues can be resolved by this simple step. Especially if an app is misbehaving or using a lot of battery.
How to Report An Issue
The biggest bugbear of those trying to help with issues is when they are not properly reported and require to have the same questions answered over and over. The circumstances may require different information, but here are a few common items to consider posting:
Version. Often people miss this and are reporting something that was solved days or weeks ago. Others say "latest" when it may not be. Quote the version number and/or build date.
Firmware. Again, quote the date or source.
GApps. The GApps version can affect which version of Google Play Services and PlayStore, amongst others that are used. Whilst often GApps can be "out of date" without any issue, when there is a lot of development by CM this can be very relevant.
Whether you clean or dirty flashed.
A log. Necessary if you dirty flashed, very useful even if you clean flashed. See below for how to do this.
How to replicate the issue. The more specific about how the issue arises and when, the more likely you are to get a quick resolution. If no one can replicate the issue it is unlikely they can resolve the issue.
How to Take a Log
This is an excellent guide.
Some kernels have their own log/bug report option to make things easier.
Useful Links
Google and the XDA search bar are your friends.
Whatever you want to ask or find, it's probaly already there. This is why you often see replies just saying "Search!"

Frequently Asked Questions
No one answered my question.
Maybe no one has read it yet - you may need to give it time. Maybe no one knows the answer yet. Have you already tried to solve the issue? Were you polite? Did you give enough information? There is no need to keep bumping your post.
Which folder does the OTA file get downloaded to? Is it the full file or just the incremental update? Are there nightlies?
/sdcard/Download and it's the full file. They aren't nightly but they are normally very frequent.
Does BlissPop support Layers / RRO?
No. It has the CM theme engine.
Which kernel is best for....?
Stock is really quite good, so I'm not going to suggest any others, as there aren't many now and are easy to find on XDA. So much depends on you: your setup, apps, usage, signal. The list goes on. The real best way to find out is try them for yourself; give each one a few days to settle and you can observe battery usage, smoothness, speed, tweakability etc. But there is no Holy Grail kernel - one that gives the best of everything for everybody. "Performance" and "battery" aren't mutually exclusive, but most kernels are biased towards one or the other. Kernel governors and hotplugs also have an effect. If you are interested in a kernel, read some of the kernel thread.
One last point. When there are changes from CM the date and commits of a kernel can be important so the kernel and ROM aren't out of sync.
How is Battery Life
This often gets asked, but there is no clear answer that suits everyone. So lets start of by saying the team finds battery life to be very good.
There are however many things affecting battery life. Your apps, settings and signal all have a big effect. As does how often your apps are updating and whether over wifi or mobile data. Additionally, which kernel and it's settings also have an effect. As does screen brightness. Certain social and messaging apps can have a huge drain. How often you flash a new ROM has a big effect too. Ideally, from a battery life perspective, you should allow everything to settle and go through a couple of charge cycles. With the frequency of BlissPop updates I have never achieved this!
So every user will have different battery life and typical screen on time. Make sure when doing comparisons you really do it on a like for like basis.
If you want to investigate battery usage, consider apps like Wakelock Detector (WLD) and Better Battery Stats (BBS) as well as GSAM Battery Monitor. These will often pinpoint where battery is being consumed and what is waking your device. Quite often you will see an app misbehaving which can often be resolved with a simple reboot.

Wrong forum?
This is grouper (nexus 7 2012), not flo (nexus 7 2013) forum
The downloads and sources are all for flo and deb
Nevermind, found the links.
Just one question, is f2fs supported? CM 12.1 does partially, does Blisspop support it?

You probably got in before I managed to edit everything! I hope it's all correct now.
f2fs isn't supported.
Good stuff here The boot animation will be updated in the next builds to start off with, and we will see what it needs from there

Is it snappy? seems nice tho
I'm getting error in updater binary... it wont let me flash on grouper.
Edit: I swapped the binary with one from a rom that flashes, It's flashing now. l'll see if it boots when its done.
Edit 2: no dice, it flashed but wouldn't boot just sat at google screen and then rebooted to google screen.

This is a shame the good news is that the team are already on to it.

I'm sure it'll be sorted out soon. I flashed blisspop to my deb and its great. Also running it on my Nexus 10.
The same here - won't flashable on Grouper ("updater binary in zip...").
Why posting an ROM at XDA when it's not working!?
I made a working build for Grouper:

I agree... it flashed fine and booted fine. Just reinstalled all my apps via TiBu. I'll run it through the night and see what's up. But my first impression is this is a great rom
I would like to apologize for the lack of a working official build right now, I've been having issues with my build machine, and haven't been able to get one out for this device and the other 9 devices I build for in about a week.
Please stay tuned while I get things fixed this week, and we should have something soon for all of you

Thank you. Although ordinarily we shouldn't post unofficial builds this is fine as the team are having issues with the build machine and this will be welcomed by those here.

Dirty Unicorns (DU) is a custom ROM originally based off AOKP, but now based from OmniROM. DU brings you a great mix of stability and customization. The idea to start a ROM like this was purely out of boredom, but later turned into a form of an addiction, a good one. We began to have fun while still doing things the right way. By doing so, we received high praise from not only our users but by fellow developers of other ROMs that also enjoy seeing things done the right way. This ROM will always be free of charge without any strings attached or any of it's developers luring you into donating, or any form of "pay to flash".
"Give credit and thanks where it's due!" That's something that has fueled the way we do things! With that said, we would like to go ahead and credit those individuals and groups that have made this ROM possible with their original code and contributions to the Android community.....
| OmniROM | AOKP | ChaOS | ParanoidAndroid | SlimROM | Preludedrew | Team Black Out | Official Testers / Translators |
Believe it or not, we are human and we do forget things. If we have left someone out of the credit/thanks list, just PM us and we'll gladly add on to the list.

REVIEW
Lots of praise, and a sad twist...
REVIEW
I purchased the Verizon Developer's Edition (XT1060) to tinker and play with lots of custom roms. Unfortunately, I quickly found that there really aren't that many for the Moto X.
However, DU 4.4.4 v7.7 is extremely impressive and quite a step up from the others. Everything I could ever want is there; it's very polished and snappy, and seems to work well. Verizon signal strength has historically been a constant issue with every rom I've tried - except stock. To my pleasant surprise, and for whatever reason, DU 4.4.4 provided at least one bar more than CM11 and the other non-stock roms I've tested (even though DU is partially based on CM11 - weird).
I'll keep the review short, but feel free to ask any questions. The main reason I'm posting is because of the sad twist. And keep in mind, before I continue, that this scenario could have happened with any rom..but it has not happened to me like this before:
Ok, so I wiped data and cache before install. I had previously been running rooted stock 4.4.2 with the latest firmware update. After firing DU up for the first time, I let everything settle in and then started customizing and installing apps back to my personal taste. An hour or so later, I left for a destination I had never been to before.
I used Google Maps to guide my way. But about 10 minutes into my trip, I noticed that the rom started dropping my LTE signal to nothing. I looked in Settings, under Mobile Network, and found that it was defaulting to GSM...but I could manually change to CDMA/LTE and of course my signal would return.
I tried to reboot, and found that sometimes this setting would stick for a bit. But then it would revert back to GSM and drop the signal again. Of course, by this time, I'm stopped in a parking lot trying to gain a consistent signal to resume my trip. After fiddling for a bit, things started to become extremely unstable...DU froze and refused any further changes. I rebooted but it locked up before reaching the rom again.
At this point, I wondered if my phone hardware had just died. Again, I had never experienced anything quite like this before.
So then I booted into TWRP, wiped cache/data again...no luck. Then I tried to restore a TWRP backup of a prior rom...failed. Then I power-cycled and tried again...failed.
Then I power-cycled and tried to reinstall the original DU zip...failed. I'm still thinking that my hardware failed, or that maybe TWRP somehow also became corrupt.
Finally, I realized...I had my laptop with me - complete with RSD Lite and a factory image on the drive (whew)...
I flashed the stock image, and ~ka-pow~ everything started working again. Granted, I was back on pure unrooted stock, but at least I had a signal and could resume my trip!
In short, I can't blame being stranded for an hour on anything necessarily. But because it was unique with DU, I'm going to try again over a weekend when I'm home and comfortable. And I definitely want to wait a bit to see how the CDMA/LTE signal issue turns out. I suspect something will need to be tweaked in future builds.
Keep up the good work guys! DU is amazing! But I am certainly gunshy about version 7.7 right now...
what the hell ,what kind of a unified build is this moto x xt1052 not supported
Really Like this ROM... but
I really like this ROM, it has everything I want in a ROM... Except, no QuickSettings Wifi HotSpot button. Since my phone is my ISP, it would be nice to have a QuickSettings shortcut for it. I could live with creating a shortcut for my home screen, but then I noticed that the hotspot kept turning off after being enabled for 30-40 minutes. Since netflix doesn't like not having a connection to the internet, that was a show stopper for me. Also, one other annoyance... I kept getting some weird alarm that would start ringing randomly. I thought it had something to do with Active Display, but not sure. So to wrap it up. This ROM has so much potential. I love the settings and options to customize it. But as I had planned anyway, I flashed back to stock this morning due to some email I received yesterday..
Simply Awesome!!!
This is simply one of the best Roms I ever tried!!! It made me finally switch from stock... I don't need xposed cuz all the tweaks are already there!!! Flying on ART... Omni didn't have a theme chooser was a little disappointed.....but With DU... its like the best of all the worlds!!! Thanks!!
Been testing since you posted on Google plus, only ran into a few issue's, all in all working great.
Is it cool if I hit you up on hangouts @timpohladthomas ?
Sure.

About BlissPop
Bliss Roms is dedicated to creating one of the most highly customizable ROMs that one can find. For example, if there is a cool feature available we have it, or we are working on getting it. Team Bliss consists of experienced Android developers with a wide range of skills. With the combination of features we support and the experienced developers we have, this will create a truly blissful experience for all.
About me
I am android enthusiast quite happy to share my own build of BlissPop with the XDA community. I thought it would be a nice breath of fresh air in environment polluted with all those cooked Lollipop TW roms. I have successfully built other roms from source for my private use. All of them were available as nightlies or previews, officially supported by the devs (Slim, CM, AICP, Vanir, etc), so there was no need for me to post separate thread.
Why Bliss? I was very impressed by its speed and stability. And the fact that for the first time I have built a rom that is not officially supported for our device. I like the cool dark look as well.
About You
I am not a developer, just a wannabe and this is me doing rom for my personal use and sharing it with you guys. All props to Team Bliss. If you do not like it, thanks for trying and good luck elsewhere. There are much better supported roms out there. If you have nice feature from other rom, please give me a source (git, gerrit) and I may consider it. But I will not deviate too much from the original as I think it is already very feature-packed.
Standard Disclaimer
No one besides yourself is responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in the products you find here before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Your warranty will be void if you tamper with any part of your device / software. That said, I have tested this, and wouldn't post it here if I thought you would have issues from using it.

I think this is specific to TW roms, correct me if I'm wrong. This rom will have all the features of all other AOSP roms combined. At this moment it is difficult to find rom as customisable as this one.
On other note: I had great first day of usage, battery flatlined during the night. Zero crashes/reboots. *pats himself on the back*
Hello. And first, as always, big thank you to the dev for the hard work. Now to my issue. I am performing a full wipe....3 factory resets back to back to back....then 3 wiles each of system, data, dalvik, and cache. When attempting to flash this rom however i am recieving a error within TWRP. I am, and have been running full lollipop roms previous. I cant remember the exact error message but could retrieve it if necessary. It is a red error that shows right after i swioe to flash.
I am on a 900t. Thankyou

There were lot of changes from CM in attempt to separate the international note from tmo one, due to nfc issues. This is probably the issue for you, your phone id doesn't correspond to international version. I will try to build tmo-specific one, I am just waiting for someone to ask.
Edit: I was right, getprop script asks for one of the following: SM-N9005, SM-N900S, SM-N900K, so basically your phone isn't recognised.
It was in one of the feature in cm11 and i dun use tw rom on the beginning of mine note 3. It was active display if i not wrong.

Known Issues
Some are experiencing some notification/heads up colour issues. This is usually resolved by changing the colour and changing it back again.

No. Sorry. I agree. The 410 has ROMs mixed in with a few other lg devices. I've seen it in one fashion or another on vk810 , 1.0. Its a floater I guess. As far as rooting. The v410 belongs to my ex wife's son and I talked her through rooting over the phone. But she hadn't updated. So kingroot worked. I believe backwards flash is required and you have Verizon, can almost guarantee it. But theres a toolkit that supports many LG devices. Do a search on xda for rooting your tablet.

Do a backup and try it. Just a tablet. Lol
I wanted to do some comparison and went through a couple before giving it back. Bliss is option full. And runs well on this tablet. What do you want to know? Repo? [emoji12]
Just try it, you'll spend a while going through all the features. I need some feedback anyway, worst case do a restore and your back to now.

See. I won't ever bad mouth another ROM. I think they all have great things to offer. I'm just partial, plus I'm in control of my 3-4 devices so I can throw extras and have fun with it. Sucks I don't own this one. Guess I'll call you my goto
Lol. I'll make a fresh build after work. You should get an alert. But go into settings/about tablet/updates and configure it how you like. So you wont have to touch a button once you download and tap install.

Bunk. Lol I installed it. Had to change to permissive, but I couldn't get it to do anything. Didn't try too hard. Once it got root priveledges if it was going to conflict Im sure it would of show me some sign of it. Idk. Here's a permissive kernel. Flash it in recovery or extract and use flashifly app. I used the app.

Yeah, so it seems. I'm sorry for that. You can use whatever package you like anyway. I just used most of the old thread template.
Fast, stable ROM.
Offers nearly every customization option you can think of!
I like it!
But how can I access Adaway? I see that it is installed but I cant find a way to open/enable it?

From my knowledge Adaway always had some issues with Lollipop. I don't use it so I don't know much.
Due to the fact that we don't have official support (yet), I can't do much regarding the ROM features. I applied as a maintainer a while ago and still waiting response. Until then I just used Google and found this.:

Hope I was of help.

Using adaway with this ROM w/ no trouble. There's no icon, but there's a settings option, either in Dev options or in Blisspop options. Click it and adaway will open, and choose top box, 'download files and apply blocking'.
Ah, thanks!
Found it in the Dev settings. This ROM has so much options that I just couldn't see it.
Thanks guys
I hope it won't take away Nutz Dual Recovery post installation?
Any heads up on camera and video playing? How's it?

Camera and Video works like charme.
But I have had big troubles after I postinstall the m5 kernel again for some new recovery options. I bricked My phone and got bootloop at Sony Logo with no recovery or flashmode. I managed it install a kernel via fastboot to install a rom. So My question. Witch kernel supports the build in cm recovery. No other recovery options so far. Only the stock cm recovery. Any idea?

Yes I know. But I wanted to use the recoverys which are comming with the m5 kernel.
I think so that there are recovery in m5 kernel. In this Rom only cm recovery.
For flashing recovery I always use the FOTA img for Z1c (= TWRP recovery) and flash it with the app Rashr.
Always works like a charm

The same issue occurs with Mx player too, on Resurrection Remix rom. I think it's a common CM bug. And the Camera on CM is absolutely average, and in low light is totally pathetic.
High time all Rom developers should collaborate on mind blowing common camera app that beats the sh*t out of OEM, can they?
