does not have to xt925
Hi, I tried to install this ROM and had it get stuck at boot with the spinning spheres.
I'm using xt926, starting with a clean install of 4.4.2-KDA20.62-15.1, unlocked and rooted, with TWRP 2.8.6.0 installed.
These are the steps I took:
1) Be rooted w/ a custom recovery - check, as stated above
2) Download EXODUS Rom & Gapps for your device and move them to your phone - Used Exodus 5.1-20150705-Nightly-xt926 and Slim mini Gapps Beta 5.1 build 0.x-20150702, stored on the external SD
3) Reboot to Recovery - check
4) Wipe (Full wipe if coming from another Rom)** - Used Advanced Wipe option in TWRP to wipe data, cache, devlik cache, and system partitions
5) Flash the Rom - check
6) Flash the Gapps** - check
7) Reboot to System - check
The phone gets to the spinning spheres boot screen and hangs.
Any advice on what's going wrong, or what I need to do differently? Thanks.
Does this work with a Jelly Bean Bootloader?
Looks awesome!
Is there some plan to release a XT925 version?!
Thank You!
I came here to check if I could get the Exodus ROM for XT926 - but it appears to be not updated any more.
I am using ExodusROM on Droid Maxx, and this is the best ROM I have seen.
I'm using exodus rom build 20151012 for my xt926 and this rom so far is the most stable than other custom rom and till now i don't have any problem to report here...so far so good
Using this rom for 3 month and allready set as my dailly driver
This rom is awesome and very stable...thanks to exodus team
please support for XT925
Tried this ROM last night. The IMEI number is gone hence the SIM is not recognized anymore.
Installed the latest Dirty Unicorns build (the final release 9.8) and the service was back to normal immediately. So, it appears to be that there is an issue with the recent builds on Team Exodus' ROMs. Another user has reported the same issue on XT1080 device.
Rom Review..................
I flash latest nighties of this ROM last week and now using it for a week now. Notice few thing and want to share here....
1. Rom look is good. Working smoothly without any app installed..
2. After installing the apps like Facebook and whats-app etc Device is bit laggey now.
(Which i can understand that device has only 1 GB of ram and not having quad core processor) Can u light the ROM little bit?
3. Without camera app? Rom is not complete... (i have to use app from cm12.)
4. Working fine no reboot or bug for daily use...
5. One bug is that WiFi will not connect automatically. i have to go to setting and connect it manually
if rom is little bit lighter and wifi issue is solved than it will be perfect rom for daily driver...
awesome
Very smooth, much better than cm nightlies, installed on kkbl with twrp 2.8.5.0
no camera is a bummer though and alot of branding for whatever reason, not a big deal because the rom is so solid
A+
is this ROM also working for xt925 ?

great work man
it's nice to see slim came back
Ho ho ho! Nice work mate!
Have been waiting for development of SlimROM for ages, thank you, will definitely try this soon (just wiped clean my phone with CM12 yesterday)
nice work
Nice , really fast, just one thing that i am missing is that i cant turn off the soft keys light :/
Great work for an alpha build!! thanks!
Some initial trouble with the privacy guard. I had to configure manually each application because there's no popup message that asks you to grant or not access to the application when needed.
But after this all works perfectly! :good:
nice work,test it now

Around one day on this rom, all good for now. Come from Sazy and battery seem little bit weak, but is normal for lp i think. Very light and fluid feeling. Not a benchmark rom for sure, but runs very smooth. For now stay on it and test it. Love Slim roms anyway.
Great work op and thanks.

Actually battery isn't that bad.
Awesome ROM but i'm in some trouble, even though i've enabled root acces from Dev Options i'm still not able to use root in apps like greenify
I'm using greenify without any issue. I give root access for apps and adb, and all works great.
Edit: after rom instalation, bfore reboot, do you choose "fix root" option?

this rom for himawul??
Hi may i try this rom in himaul??
I just wanted to say that I'm loving the interface. My only issue so far is that when I try to install gapps, the setup wizard fails. I used the nano installation from opengapps. Is there a specific version I'm supposed to use?
Nevermind. I figured it out.
So far, I think the only major complaint I have bout this rom is that it does not pass SafetyNet. After flashing magisk, I was able to pass SafetyNet using this rom.
i did a wipe before install, and im still waiting at boot screen its been 40 minutes. should i be waiting this long?

Not really i tried this rom the first boot took around 10 mins...And it was good but the problem is that google play is not available even the gapps are not compatible with this rom.... That's why I went back to leedroid
I installed the pico installation from OpenGapps. Was able to get the play store properly installed. Magisk works on this rom. I needed to pass safetynet for some apps that I use. After using this custom rom for a bit longer, my phone seems slower. Went back to LeeDroid, ICE, and Lineage and those roms seemed more responsive.
Updated
-will this work with Verizon if so -gapps. Is there a specific version I'm supposed to use?
Thanks
Can I install this ROM if I am using stock Nougat atm ?
Updated
nice work

Flashing Instruction
Always Have a full functional Backup. Just in case!
First time installing crDroid to your Redmi Note 4, or coming from another ROM:
** Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery
1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, vendor & data (or just cache, system and date for a dirty flash).
4) Flash ROM
5) Flash gapps
6) Boot up
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.
You need to flash GApps every-time you flash the ROM.
Don't expect any support if you:
- are not running the included kernel
- have installed any mods such as Xposed!
- have modified system files

Is there navigation pil gesture.....quick settings row and column settings.... Any bugs?
awesome! Gotta try this one. Missed all the RR customizations since I switched to LOS 16. Crdroid is even better than RR in terms of customizations. Also is OTA working?
What features working in that rom?
Just installed. It's amazing, fluid, customizable and smooth! But, where is the music player man. Can't live without the cm music player :/

This rom is (fairly) new. I will try to update whenever I get time. As of now I have couple more things I need to get fixed:
- Lineage 17.1 WiFi issues
- Upstream 18.1 build
- TWRP 3.5.X with adb fixes.

Clean flash only.
Excelent work @kevios12 . Thanks for that.
I flashed it clean initially, but it did not work well. So I had to reflash the latest stock ROM (from here), flash it with odin, the install TWRP 3.6_kevios, and only then install this image + BitGapps.
Working smoothly so far, really happy with it.
So far, the only functionality that does not seem to work is the "Automatic brightness" thing, but the rest seems even better than the previous crdroid release.
I flashed the ROM too. In the setup wizard it wasn't possible to set up the Google account and i couldn't find the option to restore my cloud backup in my Google Account, when i set it up later, but the ROM works really well!
Is it possible to set the theme to pure black?

New Update is Out!
Changelog 2022/01/15
* January Security Patch
* crDroidAndroid 8.1
Thanks for this great FW! It makes this A40 device really smooth again. Only experienced some WiFi dropouts with a connected FRITZ!Box 7590AX (WiFi ax, 2,4 and 5 GHz with WPA2/WPA3). And how can the Google Camera app be used (as the most easy camera interface I know)? Crashes after starting the app here.
Awsome work, Thank you very much for this rom. Only problem I've seen so far is not working screen auto brightness.
SM-A405FN
Also the problem with BitGapps is that it does not resinstall itself after installing an update. Nikkgapps does that, but I'm not sure it's compatible. Anybody?
Is it possible to have encrypted storage with this?

Unfortunately I went into bootloop at cr Droid logo after doing this: enabling adb debuging (USB and root), then additionally choosing "data transfer" (in German: Datenübertragung, I don't know, what's the correct term in English) in USB. The phone shut down after about 2 Mins I did this. After that no boot possible.
I have a logcat (2.8 MB .txt file). I tried to attach it. Unfortunately that doesn't work. I think it is because of the 10 posts rule. But I could send the logcat in another way, if anybody is interested (in this case please tell me how eg. mail...).
Thank you for this great work. After 10 days of trial , the ROM is adopted and I have updated to 8.2.
My main concern is sound volume which is too low. With a boost volume application (Volume Booster by Goodev) I can get good sound volume. My ROM is rooted and I wonder if it is possible to adjust sound volume permanently with some configuration and avoid to use a volume booster app.
ROM works like a charm - perfect!
If anyone has successfully tested a Gcam port on A40, it would almost complete this new life of A40 device.
Hello All,
I have already cdroid 7 on my wifes phone, but I see a little lag with UI (not ROM related)
Do this ROM has the same glitch/lag as above.
