Roocase Esteem Review - Galaxy S6 Accessories

Just a quick hands on/first impressions on the roocase Esteem.
I'll update with pictures shortly and a full review after some use.
Here goes :
First off, the case feels really well made.
The magnetic closure works to keep it closed and secure. It's not a weak magnet either.
The texture on the space gray exterior is really nice and provides much needed grip. The sueded texture on the interior serves a similar purpose and just looks cool.
It's a very slim profile, which I like, and the hard case your phone snaps into feels very secure.
Branding is minimal and tastefully done. I'm a big fan of that.
I checked out the Samsung flip cover at best buy and the quality of this roocase is equal if not better in the hand.
So far I'm very happy and pleasantly surprised with this Esteem, I'll update in more detail as a little time goes by.

Looks nice

[Review] Cruzerlite

First off I would like to thank Raul from Cruzerlite.com who found my style of reviewing interesting enough to inquire about me reviewing their cases. It is a great opportunity and I would just like to send a personal thank you to him and the company. I would also like to point out that my review is still going to be 100% honest, in fact I waited 4 days after I received the cases to do a complete review, including a day in each case I received.
The three cases I received were as follows
Clear Android Army
Blue Android Circuit
Green Androidified A2
I'll review them all at the same time, and anytime there is something special about a certain one, I'll mention it. First are Pro's,then Con's, and a summary at the end. Fairly simple.
Pro's:
-Like any premium case the cutouts are perfect at every port, button, and IR blaster on the phone.
-The TPU is pretty good quality, I've felt better in one other case, Diztronic, but Cruzerlite is a very close second.
-Double cutout of the camera and flash giving better protection overall on the back
-designs actually show up (on white S4 at least, cannot verify on black because I don't one) and looks very nice. I have recieved compliments on how cool they looked, the color enhances the device instead of detracting from it, and I see a lot of cases that detracts from the quality of the phone! (cheap and expensive cases alike)
-The raised lip around the front of the screen kind of folds over the bevel. I'm not sure how to explain it, but the lip extends over the full front of the bevel instead of resting on top of it like every other case I own does.
-Logo is not distracting from the overall design!
Con's
-On the Androidified case it just feels a lot thinner, I'm not sure if it was the unit I was sent, but the TPU feels thin all around, especially on the lip and sides.
On good reviews I usually put here that the cases were not free, but in this case they were...and I'm not sure how to make it sound like I wasn't completely satisfied, but had I spent money on them, I wouldn't put anything here, so this is a placeholder for my own sanity...
one thing to note about clear cases though, they discolor over time, I am not sure if these will, but it is something to think about. i honestly love clear cases over all other cases. but UV damage is not something plastic is known to combat well over time. lol
Overall:
If I could, I would return 3/4 of the cases I've purchased over the past month for the S4 because these are honestly the ones I'll be using for a good length of time. I cannot foresee me looking for another TPU case after trying these, and I would recommend them for anyone who is on the fence. If you want to purchase one TPU case, you'll want to go with one from either from Cruzerlite or Diztronic. Both are great companies and offer different types of cases depending on what you really are looking for.
As always, let me know if you would like a specific picture or more in-depth look at something in particular. The photos will be up tomorrow when the lighting is better.

Reviews on 5 cases I use

My Nexus 4 case review.
I'm going to do a little case review for all my N4 cases: Official bumper; Mercury TPU case; XDA-developers TPU case, Meifeng Hard skin cover, and Ringke Fusion Premium Hybrid Hard Case.
Let's get started, hopefully this could help you guys when choosing cases.
Official bumper: The most expensive case I've owned, and it is not worth it. The look is cool, no doubt about it, however, it feels terrible in hand. It's like wearing a bad condom, which makes the whole experience weird. The protection it gives is limited.
Overall score: 5/10
Mercury TPU case: A solid case with good protection. Feels pretty good in hand, however, it attracts finger prints. A mediocre case, nothing special about it.
Overall score: 6.5/10
Xda TPU case: I got this case to show my support for the XDA community. I got it for about $12, took them about a month to ship it to me. As you can see, it looks awesome, dose not attract finger prints. The quality is a little iffy, since its hand made.
Overall score: 7/10
Ringke Fusion Premium Hybrid Hard Case: My second favorite case. The best part about it is that the back is see-through, great way to show off the beautiful design with good protection. Some say the buttons are hard to push, but that's not the case in mine, the responses I get is great. The only thing I don't like is the small head phone hole, I have to take the case off when I listen to my music. I dose fit the regular head phone cable, mine is a little bigger.
Overall score: 8.5/10
Meifeng Hard skin cover: My favorite among all. It is the slimmest case I own, which makes the holding experience awesome. The materiel it uses has a matte like feeling, makes it easy to hold. The only downside is that the protection it offers is not that great, it only covers the back and the side of the phone while leaves top and bottom of the front unprotected.
Overall score: 9/10
That's it! Hope you guys enjoyed!

Useless without pics.
More pics of the Meifeng please.
I would like to compare it to the Poetic Palette. They appear to be the same, but a YouTube review (more like overview) dropped the Meifeng case by itself into the ground and it sounds like it might be even flimsier/thinner than the Palette. I just want minimal scratch protection but I don't like actual skins/films, so the Meifeng might work for me.

The Meifeng is a slim case like the Poetic Palette but has great grip and feel to it - almost a sandpaper feel but again minimum protection.

I have the Palette and Meifeng. The palette is thicker/sturdier and offers much better top/bottom protection because the edges of the case come closer to the front of the phone. The matt material is also really nice...imo nicer than the meifeng.
However, because it's thicker it doesn't feel as good in the hand as the Meifeng and it also has smaller button holes. So as long as you're ok with a little less protection, the Meifeng is the way to go.
There are a few pics of the Meifeng on the link in my sig.

So initially I didn't like that case (Rearth Slim). But after switching between 6-7 cases I'm using it as my primary case. Imo, it feels the best in the hand. However, I had to use a blade to shave the manufacturing mold lines down. Before I did that the edges of the case were terrible. After that the feeling improved dramatically.
Also gives best corner and front protection of any slim case I've seen.
So short answer... yes, good decision.

Just got my Meifeng (the new black one :eyeroll: ). I wish I had gotten to see it before purchasing.
Differences
Size
Calipers show that the Meifeng is 0.07(±<0.02) mm thinner than the Palette (its semiporous texture is slightly squishy so it varies ~0.02 mm), so the thickness is pretty much identical.
Texture
The Palette is quite slick, but not glossy. It's more like satin than lacquer. The Meifeng is weirdly rough. It's like a soft sandpaper. It's not really a preference, as it would be easy to acclimate to either.
Cutouts
I always thought the Palette cut-outs were too small, but that might have been a conscious decision. The small bridge on the top face of the volume buttons is very thin.
Prospective Durability
Both look very durable, and you would probably break the screen before you broke the case. That being said, they aren't meant for rough usage. As I mentioned about the cutouts, the volume cutout bridge appears more likely to break on the Meifeng.
Other
The Palette is far easier to fit and remove. I hate using a case, and only use my Palette when I'm out and about (I also have a Poetic Slim Book for business) and I'm constantly switching between encased and caseless. I'll put the Meifeng in a drawer and leave it in case my Palette breaks.
EDIT: After a few days with the Meifeng, I honestly do like it more than the Palette. The Poetic case is great, don't get me wrong, but I really liked the larger cutouts of the Meifeng, as well as the rougher texture.

Just got N4 couple weeks ago and im leaning towards this ^ case. My only concerns are:
1. Is the upper right corner bare and the case is cut from there or is it just to show the layer of the case.
2. How flexible and fall resistant the the see through glass on the back is? Does it attract alot of dust?
Thanks.

It's to show the layer. If you look through xda or even searching the case you'll find pictures and videos of what it looks like.
The back isn't glass it's just plastic. No it doesn't attract dust but does attract fingerprints.

Its covered don't worry. The materiel is pretty flexible, because its just plastic. Its ok with the dust, but attracts finger prints and it scratches easy.

Roocase Note 4 Feedback

Hello,
I just received the Roocase Prestige Note 4 case for review. I thought I'd share my review here with you all and perhaps to see what others might think about it.
Here are my initial impressions:
-First off, I was really impressed with the packaging. It was eye appealing and hassle free, which gave me a very good impression from the start.
-The quality is good and it feels nice to grab on hand. The stitching looks very high quality and not cheap. The magnetic part is on point. There are some wallet cases that don't have a magnetic clasp, which I don't understand. Magnetic clasp gives extra security and helps the case to not flap open when dropped. It also helps to maintain a slim look, not bulky at all. +1
-I also need to point out the TPU case, which I like a lot. The cutouts for buttons are perfect. It nicely secures the note 4 where I do not think the phone could fall off at all.
-I like the design of the card slots. Easy to pull out with that cut in the middle.
-I like how the camera is elevated for protection. I can put the phone now on a table and not worry about it getting scratched.
Now, despite of all these positive qualities, I am very disappointed in one thing and I think it is very important for this phone design. This case does not have a cut out for the s-pen. In order for me to use the s-pen, I need to take the phone off from the case to use it, which is a big hassle. I use the s-pen pretty often, so I find it hard to see myself using this case in the long run. This case could easily have been 10/10, but with this design flaw, I'm going to give it 5/10 as a s-pen opening is vital. I will keep using to see how the case goes- will send a follow up evaluation.
Here's the link for the case- http://www.amazon.com/roocase-Featur...note+4+roocase
I have also attached pictures here for reference.
I got the roocase. The executive case silver and black. It's a nice case kind of reminds me of a hybrid between the spigen neo hybrid and the tough armor. One thing I would like these case manufacturer to do is round out the edges on the charger port. These phones are getting larger. So when holding the phone with one hand my pinky finger does not hurt cause the sharp edges on the charger port opening.

Galaxy S6 Edge Plus Poetic Affinity Case

Hi Guys....Please take a look at this review [emoji106]
** I received this case from Affinity to use and review. They was so kind as not to charge me a penny...not even postal charges.
** Upon receiving the package I can say that it was very well packaged and almost impossible to get damaged during transit. First hands on with the product you just noticed that it's so light in weight. It doesn't add hardly anything to the phone once fitted. I can say that once your phone is inside this case it isn't going to pop out on impact if dropped. It fits very firmly in place indeed. The sleek black bumper with a clear back looks amazing on the gold s6e+ . The embossed Affinity logo on the back (clear like the case) looks great. Once you've used this case I can promise that you will be proud to display the Affinity logo on items. The case has a very premium look and feel to it. No sharp edges to hurt your fingers whilst holding it for any length of time. The cut outs are perfectly designed to the phone and in my opinion actually makes the phone sounds louder. The subtle black lip that surrounds your phone holding it in place is in a class of its own. The buttons are very responsive and you won't be feeling around in the dark to find them either. I own a few different brands of cases but I can honestly say that this one is the one that you want to be on your phone if you ever drop it.
** As for value for money!! What can I say?....it's a very affordable, premium case that compliments the phone and adds to its sexy looks.
** Please check the case out on Amazon and try it out. I promise that you won't be disappointed...Actually I think you will fall in love with it. Images available here...

[Case Review] Vivid Arkansas & the Lazer by Artech21

What's up everyone! Here for another case review, and this time it's the Vivid Arkansas & the Lazer by Artech21. I typically do not review two cases in the same thread, but these are from the same manufacturer and aren't too terribly different. I'm gonna throw up 2 links at the bottom for the photos because there are quite a few of them. So let's get right into it, shall we?
-Packaging & First Impressions-
The packaging for both cases is the same. Quite minimal with a couple thin cardboard inserts that you'd typically get with a phone case. Nothing too fancy here. The cases themselves are nearly identical except for the pattern imprint on the rubber inner layer. The case trim for both is identical and are interchangeable with these two cases specifically. Over all pretty good looking cases. However there wasn't much care with the cutouts. They are extremely precise and line up perfectly with the phone, but unfortunately still have some edge shavings attached. You can see what I mean in the photos by looking at the cutouts around the power button. To me this was a little careless and really could have been fixed in the factory pretty easily.
-Fit-
These cases go on and off pretty easily. Personally, I like that. It makes swapping them out fairly quick and you don't feel like you'll do harm to the phone while doing so. This for me is pretty huge. I reviewed a case by Poetic and absolutely love everything about the case, except when it's time to take it off or put it back on. With both of the cases from Artech21, they fit quite nice, except for the screen side of the phone. On the Vivid Arkansas, the right edge had gold from the phone showing through, and on the Lazer it was on both sides. So the 1st layer/rubber shell just doesn't have that uniform snug fit that you'd want with this device. I have to point out though that this is not true for all of their cases. A friend of mine has these same cases for his S7 Edge, and they fit quite perfectly on his phone.
-Feel-
Both of these cases feel great in the hand. There is enough grip on the device to prevent it from slipping. The cutout that was used for the power button is pretty nice too. It has a sloped cut on the edge so your finger almost feels like it belongs there when pushing the power button or using the fingerprint scanner. I can't stress enough how much I like that cutout and how it was done. Great job on that one Artech21! The buttons on the case look like they would stick out, but they really don't all that much. You can still find them blindly pretty easy, so it's not terrible. Over all, not bad.
-Final Thoughts-
Personally, I'd give both cases a 7/10. They still need some fine tuning on some basic cosmetics, but all around are still a good case option to keep your phone safe. They come in many different accent colors, and I think Artech21 did pretty well despite a few minor cosmetics. The case does not interfere with the wide angle lens at all and I think these cases should be given your consideration when looking for an inexpensive case. - Until next time...
