[Q] Ooops...deleted gallery how to get back?

So I got frustrated with the laggyness/rebooting gallery3D and wiped data and uninstalled using titanium backup. I also deleted the apk in system/app.
I'm trying to restore it again but it doesnt work. I placed the apk back in the system/app and tried installing to no avail. I also tried just installing the apk but i get this will replace current + application not installed.
Any suggestions?
Also, when an official FROYO comes out and i install that, will that replace the gallery?

Just put the .apk back in /system/app from whatever ROM that's based on the same firmware.

Ive tried. The gallery app doesnt show in the app drawer. I have rebooted as welll

Goto the Market and search for Gallery 3d, install from there, should work fine.

[Q] Play store gone

I have deleted the play store from my rooted phone. Please suggest a way to get it back.
Earlier, I had replaced the system app (the original android market(backed up)) with the newer play. Today, I deleted the play store apk from /system/app as well as the backup of the original. Now I cannot install the playstore using an apk as it gives an error " Application not installed " after informing that it will replace the playstore(whose apk I have deleted).
I have copied the apk to /system/app. How do I get it to work?

Porting apps

i want to install an apk from system apps in one phone to another phone. copying the apk to /system/app and setting permissions made the app appear in app drawer, but when launching the app it force closes. so i want to modify the apk to be installable on other devices. any ideas/tutorials?

its a little hard to port apps especially if its someone like samsung, they are MADE for touchwiz and all the frameres and other crap so its really not worth that one app.

if there is libs in the app ,you should copy libs to /system/lib/

where do i find the libs? i only have the apk

You can extract to apk file and copy!

[Q] Apps Location

I've installed a CM12.1 ROM which comes with some bloatware apps which I want to remove the app and data using a file manager but can't seem to find them in system/app or priv-app?

Maybe it is on data/app. Or try titanium backup or any app remover

How to install an APK as system app

Hi,
I recently used "System App Remover" and deleted a system app "amigo_dynamicweather.apk". That app did not create a backup before deleting it. Anyways, I got that apk somehow but when I try to install it manually, I get "App not installed". So I tried to install it by moving it to system/app folder and set permissions to RW-R-R using root explorer, rebooted and nothing. App was in the system/app directly but I cannot see it installed. The permissions still are RW-R-R. How can I install it? Please help.
