Thread subject : Connecting a Dualshock 3 on my LG G3
Hello everyone,
I' m asking you some help because this is a very specific problem. I'm already thanking you for taking the time to read my post and for trying to help me. Sorry for my student's level of English and if some syntax sentences aren't great.
What I try to do is controlling a drone (especially the Bebop Drone from parrot) with a Dualshock 3 controller from Sony.
In order to control the Drone I must launch the app called Freeflight 3.
What I'm trying to do is to control the Drone via my controller connected to my LG G3 device in Bluetooth.
In a first attempt I tried Sixaxis controller which didn't worked well with the app (this method used to work well on ancient app for the AR Drone). The drone had bad rotations, slow responses and my Android device was almost burning.
Then in a second attempt I bought an OTG cable with a femal USB. In that way I was able to connect and control my drone perfectly with my PS3 controller.
The app and the controller work fluently together.
But when I'm trying to disconnect the cable and to power on my controller (went off when disconnect) my LG G3 pop up a message that says :
DUALSHOCK 3 trying to connect on the device. Please enter the Pin code from your Bluetooth device.
I don't have this pin code. Is there a pin attributed by default to PS3 Controllers ?
I tried 0000 and 1234 but that was wrong so I'm not able to connect my controller by Bluetooth on my LG G3 device.
Thank you for your help
PS : I know you're not a lot on IOS but if someone knows how to connect my PS3 controller on a IPad by Bluetooth I will be very happy to learn that.

Hi Everybody
I recently bought TF300T and now trying to connect my PS3 Dualshock 3 controller to it, but facing problems.
I have jellybean 4.1 as OS and trying to conect using dock USB Port.
In Settings -> Bluetooth -> My PS3 controller is shown, but when i click on it to connect, error message comes " Unable to Communicate with Blah Blah..)
It doesnot work in game, while in normal tablet mode, i can move thru items/pages with my controller.
I have read so many forums over internet which shows the simple steps to connect, i tried to use them a number of times but no success.
Also, I tried with different games like FIFA2012, Shadow Gun, Mass Effect
Please helpout, am I doing something wrong or its just jellybean not allowing to.
Thanks
Jas

The app, change mac adress of bluethoot master of the controler & installs in the phone/tablet a protocolo to comunicate with it...
And one thing, a very few games support external pad....

Hi,
Sorry for broken English, I can connect the Xbox controller trough USB and play game and navigate in the home screen with not problem , but when I try to connect the ps3 controller the phone didn't detect it at all, on my Android tablet I just plug and play even for Bluetooth. I Try USB debugging but doesn't work.
Do you have any solution ?
Thanks for help and have a good day
Someone who knows better may correct me, but this is something that needs to be supported by the kernel. So maybe a custom kernel will allow this in the future. Or possibly Motorola could release an update.
There is an app on the play store called Sixaxis Controller that might help.
yea i know but i need to pay .... thank you anyway
i have a question about ps3 controllers and my moto g. i am so sorry i know that the info is already provided in this forum but i have NO idea and info about rooting since there's too much info on what to do/what not to do, and information is scattered everywhere. all i see are gibberish. I am so overwhelmed and at a loss.
1. i have this after glow ps3 controller(only usb no wireless bluetooth pairing for ps3) and i used it with my otg cable on my moto G and it works. my ps3 controller doesnt but it worked on my nexus 7(now dead). is ps3 not supported by default or do i have to root it to use it?
2. If i root it just for sixaxis, will i lose my warranty? will i still be able to get the latest on the air updates automatically?
i want to use the controller for apps like fpse and stuff.
already tried USB BT Joycenter but that wasnt working, the controller was connecting and showing as First player but there was no input and i cant get any updated version of the app cause i cant find it on the appstore.
the other thing i tried was editing the controller layout files, but they werent even on the tablet.
is there anything else i can do to get this to work?
I tried to connect my xbox 360 wireless controller via dongle aswell. it kinda connects but i am not really sure. the moment i let the dongle and the controller search for each other they seem to find each other straight away, but the led ring just keeps blinking and wont find a channel so to speak.
i followed sleeplessninjas guide and copied over the vendor_45e_product_0291/0719.kl and kcm but it didnt change the controller problem.
the controller is not recognized by any app i tried nor does the system itself show any response to the controller input.
i can connect a mouse or a usb flashdrive without a problem plug n play out of the box. but the controller wont get recognized.
i read on a shop review that the problem would be that the lenovo tab2 a10 doesnt have driver for the controller shipped with it.
my question would be: would cooking up my own android rom help and would i even be able to make it work on the device, i keep reading about lenovo devices being *****y about bootloader and such.
and then again cooking up ones own android is kinda of a longshot for an android beginner like me. need to read more. propably doable but are there even drivers available for the device fitting the system?
would appreciate someone shedding a bit of light in all the confusion cheers
Greetings,
I have an old DS4 controller and i used it to play on android before (on an old moto g device) but it seems i cant use it properly on a moto g5 plus device.
I can pair the controller and it seems it does recognize it as an input device, but i cant use it to navigate the android menus (i could in the older device) and i also cant use it with any emulators like ppsspp nor epsxe.
Is there any suggestion on how to get this controller to work? I am trying to avoid root solutions but if there is no other option i might give it a try; Also, if there is any tool to troubleshoot the usb connection with the controller i might be able to get more information about what is going on since it does connect.
Thanks in advance,
Carlos
