Dear all,
I have spent my whole Saturday attempting to get CynogenMod to work on my Sprint s5. I HAVE FAILED. It seems that no CynogenMod, whether it be a nightly 12 or unofficial 11, would not work. The problem was that once CynogenMod was installed, the phone did not recognize the sim card. This meant that I could not make any phone calls or send texts. The odd thing is that I could receive calls and texts... I have read all around the internet about this problem, but I found no solution. Is it not possible to get CynogenMod without this terrible flaw of no sim card detection? I would appreciate any and all help on this. Thank you.

Hey everyone.
My LG G2X is running Cyogenmod 7.2.
Just last week my phone apparently started to not be able to receive phone calls. I called T-mobile and told them about the issue, however they tried calling me and it went through without an issue.
I am lost for words, i've had people from AT&T and Verizon try to call me and no calls go through.
Any ideas?
Kind Regards,
Jordan
What baseband are you on? If you're on a baseband that is not supported by the ROM then you may need to flash one of these zip files to make your phone capable of making calls. See this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1776843

If test calls come through, and calls from other t-mobile phones come through, then it is clearly a t-mobile problem, NOT a phone problem. There is nothing ON your phone that rejects only calls from specific carriers.
You will need to call them back with specific examples of people (phone # and carrier) who cannot call you. Perferably you will also have some examples (landlines, other carriers) who CAN call you.
You also need to make sure to have more than one example, otherwise it could be on the other person's side.
Armed with that information you can prove a pattern and that it is not your phone.
On the other hand, if it is random as far as whether a call comes through or not, then it could be either your phone or t-mobile. A pattern is what you're looking for.

Hello all, hopefully somebody can help me with this, since it's making me crazy.
I have one 920 and recently got a new 1020 from Movistar (Telefonica), RM-875 with 64GB if storage. Everything was great until they launched their LTE network, and when I got a new sim card, I found out the ROM the phone has, comes with 4g-LTE disabled. Off course I did what anyone would do in this situation: I flash my phone with another ROM and I got my LTE working.
After a couple of days I noted that I was only getting SMSs telling me that somebody called me. Then I tried to call myself from another number and it went straight to voicemail. When I changed it to 3G again, calls worked fine. I know LTE doesn't support voice, so the phone should get a "notification" from the network to change to 3g to get the call, but my phone is not reacting to it. I tried the same SIM with the 920 and this one works as expected, when on LTE it changes to 3G to get the call.
I've spent the last two weeks downloading new ROMs to see if any of those can help me, with no luck at all. My last resort is to flash back to the original ROM and bring it back to the shop to see if they can help me. Oh and it's not hardware problem since a friend of mine with the same provider and the same phone, he is facing the same issue.
ANYTHING you can tell me to fix this, will be greatly appreciated, since is like a disappointing to not being able to be on LTE with my 1020.
Thank you!
So, I manually flashed the Lollipop update on my Nexus 5 using the Nexus Root Toolkit. Everything worked well except phone calls through the phone or Viber or Hangouts. I was unable to receive any phone calls or make any calls.
So I re-flashed the Nexus 5 lollipop update and now even during the setup I started getting messages where the phone would just search for a network. Everything started to break eventually. First Wifi then Google services broke as well. After flashing 5-6 times and still going through the same issue, I decided to re-flash Android 4.4.4 and things are working well except SIM card again. Looks like either the SIM slot is broken somehow or something didn't flash well. I tried using a different SIM as well but to no avail.
Please help me in deciding what to do next. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Any one?
I have recently purchase a Note 4 clone phone from China. It works very well but I have a problem. When I got it I inserted an EE micro simcard which work fine whilst I waited for my proper talktalk simcard to arrive. Now however when I insert the talktalk simcard in I get no signal and the message emergency calls only.
I think with these types of the devices, once you insert the first sim card into it, they tend to lock onto that network and won't work with anyone other.
My question is therefore:-
Is there a way to unlock a Note 4 clone phone
If the phone can not be unlocked, I was thinking that if I back up the ROM and reflash the phone with the same ROM it might fix the problem. But I do not know how to back up the ROM. I've read a number of threads but still remain confused.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I can not use the phone at all now. The device is rooted.
Thanks in advance
Any help guys

Is anyone able to help?
Hi all, new noob member here with hopefully a simple question. I bought an unlocked S20 with tmobile firmware about a month ago. I'm using a verizon SIM card and everything worked fine until yesterday when Tmobile sent out an update. At first I had no mobile data but could still send texts. After searching, i saw under my SIM card status it said IMS not registered. Not knowing much about this stuff I was thinking that maybe I needed to flash verizon firmware onto my phone and that would fix it ( I have not done that yet). I went to the verizon store and got a new sim... same issue. I also found a website listing access point details, I plugged in all the information and now I have 4G but i am still unable to send texts. I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas as to what my problem might be. I'm trying to avoid flashing new firmware onto my phone because I don't have a great understanding of how to do it, and i really dont want to brick my phone. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
