Is there a way to disable these notification in the drop down tray? If I have everything going like normal, there are 5 notifications that I cannon clear off that take up the entire drop down. Makes everything look cluttered.Cable charging, connected as media deice, power save on, 1 device connected for tether, and then the select keyboard. I am rooted, and if it matters, the phone is an ATT G920A.
Long click on notifications then on the right side click on i then block notification

All it gives me is set as priority, which brings it to the top above all others. Maybe because its a system app?

I have never used Light Manager before, but the idea of different colored lights for different types of notifications sounds useful. I have tried to get it to work for the past 3 days, but I can't find a combination of options that will work.
Is anyone using it successfully who might let me know what their configuration is?
I appreciate your time.
Did you remember to turn on the LED in your phone settings? You go to Settings>Notifications>Tap the gear in the upper right. Make sure you turn that switch on.
When you first open light manager it will prompt you to allow notification access which can be found under your phone's settings>apps>little gear at the top right>special access>notification access. Make sure light manager is checked. (It asks you to set that up right when you first open light manager)
After that just it should start working. Go into light manager and start setting up your colors and stuff. You can test each notification you set up (just have to make sure to turn off your screen while the test is going on)

I just re-installed it and got the notification message, now it's working fine. I don't know how I missed it the first time through. Thanks!
I just gave this a go but ambient display kept coming on every few seconds for no reason.

This is a bug the developer is aware of. It only applies to "Alternating Mode". I switched back to normal and it stopped.

Oh ok awesome. I didn't try that mode but will give it another try with that mode enabled.
I also had some issues with LF. My gmail functioned as it should, but I could not use sms or other apps. The developer told me how he got things to function properly. I have had no issues sense. Here is what you need to do. Just change out the app you want for notifications.
I'd recommend the following.
1. remove the contact specific notification you have set up and the standard text message notification.
2. get a text message from the contact you want specific notifications for and don't yet read it.
3. go into lightflow, notification settings and press "+" and select from all installed apps and select messenger.
4. Press "+" again and select from an outstanding notification and select the unread text message and select it and click add.
5. Find this notification and click on it (then press the pencil icon in the title to give it a meaningful name)
6. Enable the "notification person matches..." switch
7. Finally in notification settings click on the 3 lines with an arrow button at the top and drag the contact specific notification above the default messenger notification.
This is the setup I use on my 5x and 6p and pixel. It also allows you to do similar for pretty much any app or for example switch when a particular word is in a notification so it's quite customisable.
Cheers
Andrew

This isn't about lightflow. This is about light manager.
lol sorry!!!
Every now and then I'll see a stick figure icon on the left side of my status bar by the clock and on the lock screen/aod in a bubble.
when I unlock the phone or pull down the notification panel any info disappears.
Anyone know what this little guy is for and how to get rid of him?
and the screenshot is.................? kinda hard to help if we don't see what it is..
The only icon I can think of that resembles a stick figure is the SMART THINGS icon.

It;s a stick figure, like the stick figure that was coming up on peoples nav bar on 8's and 9's for accessibility settings
it looks JUST LIKE THIS ONE IN THE PINK CIRCLE without the dots under it but its a icon by the clock
When you need a hug. Push this. That makes you more accessible.
here are screeenshots, I got it in action.
It has something to do with one of the apps I enabled in accessibility mode.
Anyway to stop the "check access settings" little guy notification from coming up

If you tap on the icon and bring up that app's notification settings, there may be an option to never notify for accessibility notifications.

Thanks, no clue then. It must be one of the apps, maybe the Galaxy HZ app having access to screen as it shows the stick figure in the notification as well. Check the app in Accessibility settings and try disabling it.
Also, what is the other app with moon and glowing clock? (screenshot attached)..looks cool

Weather neon, TONS of customizations for it, from dozens of widgets of all sizes down to changing colors of every piece individually.
that's just the notification one I liked but there are a ton more, and a big main one with different clocks
it's worth checking out, some stuff is iffy with it tho

My stickfig has a purpose, I can dim the screen at night or brighten it up. The icon comes up when you slide out the 'stick'. You can park this feature anywhere, to enable go to 'visibility enhancements' >>'extra dim'(screenshot is from S22)
So I'm guessing you can disable your stick figure somewhere there as well.
Can someone walk me through this? Totally new to Pixel phones. Been using LG for the last 10 years.
I have Nova Launcher installed and it seems to be working properly with no issues.
I'm getting written notifications on my lock screen whenever a YouTube channel I'm subscribed to posts a new video. I don't want that. (This is happening on most of my apps)
In the past with the LG, i'd just get a tiny colored bubble with a number on the app's icon on my home screen. That's what I'm trying to accomplish with the P7P. Is there a way to get the phone to do this?

Thank you!
I've tried that on the lock screen, and it takes me to a page asking me if I want to unsubscribe from notifications from that YouTube channel. Is this correct? I do still want to get a bubble on the app's icon on my home screen letting me know I have unseen content.

Hmm, I don't think so. Have you tried it once you've unlocked the lock screen? Please see screenshot.
Didn't make a difference.
If "notifications “ are turned off, will I still get the little dot on the app icon?
Ok, I may have an idea.
In the notifications settings area....
Pic below, set hide silent notifications from the lock screen. Then long press the notification in the status bar and set them to silent.
They will still show in your status bar and app icon.
Downside to my plan is if you have, for example, text messages set to silent they will no longer show on lock screen if you want that.

Yes, at the bottom of the list of notications, there is an option to have the dot separately.
Sorry, me again!
I'm working on the notifications, and how to get them coming through, I'm on MIUI 14 now. I've got the always on display set to 'on' and to show notifications. But they don't seem to be showing for some reason.

Probably not very useful for your case but on MIUI13 I have no problems with AOD notifications. everything appears there.
Have you enabled all the apps in Settings>Notifications and Control Centre>Lock Screen ?
I think they are connected with the AOD ones...

I popped out for a bit this morning, and Strangly, I had a missed call, and text notification waiting for me. Seems to take a bit of getting used to the notifications on this, some apps only notify when I open them, even if they're set to lock screen.

MIUI Battery optimizations...
You need to disable this for every app you need consistent notifications. Hold your finger on the app icon and then select App Info. Then scroll down until you see " Battery Saver" Change it to " No Restrictions" for all the apps you need. Also from that page, you can enable the Autostart option

done everything, still not working.
I read new messages (whatsapp) when i wake the phone manually, most of the time
Maybe this option does not exist on your device but just in case:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...om-for-xiaomi-12s-ultra.4481389/post-88059765
My mum bought a Flip 4 and she loves it, but is not getting notifications when it is folded. I have tried all settings including individual notifications, ensuring it's not on DND, ensuring notifications can wake up the phone. It is also one of those intermittent problems, in that it doesn't work most of the time but occasionally will work, like when someone rings her doorbell (Ring app). I've even tried changing some of the apps like changing from the Samsung SMS app to Textra.
Has anyone else seen this behaviour? Our next step is to factory reset, but I want to check if this is a known issue.
Thanks
Not normal. It should show notification, and you can even see it when you swipe right in the cover screen.
The notifications show on the screen but no notification sound. Thanks for the info.

Agreed. Not normal. I had a case (Samsung even) that was turning my sound off. If she's using a case, you might try without it. It's a longshot, but took me a while to figure it out on mine. When properly functioning sounds should work open or closed.

by default there should be sound, unless you set that particular notification sound as silent, or the audio file is missing.
