Galaxy S6 Roms without S Finder and Quick connect in notification drawer

Hi,
If you got S6 without S Finder and Quick connect in notification drawer please let me know what country and what network your S6 was purchased.

Open system folder, search “build.prop” file, we will modify this file so its better to make backup before modifying it.
For Galaxy S6, Change this line from ro.product.name=zerofltexxx to (AT&T):
ro.product.name=zeroflteatt
or (Verizon):
ro.product.name=zerofltevzw
For Galaxy S6 Edge, Change this line from ro.product.name=zeroltexxx to (AT&T):
ro.product.name=zerolteatt
or (Verizon):
ro.product.name=zeroltevzw
Hit the back button then press Yes to save the file.
Reboot your device, to apply the changes.

But now My carrier logo in status bar for some reason .

I'm on Rogers and didn't know what to put so I thought I'd see what happens when I put att, it removed it and sure enough ROGERS appeared on the status bar. However, when I went back in and deleted the att it removed the carrier name and the bar was gone for s finder and quick connect. Idk if it is just a glitch and should still appear but it's been that way for a while.

So what's your final value in your build.prop for that entry?

Yeah, use vzw and you won't get the carrier label. (you'll get their 4g icon tho, which I know some people hate. But at least their signal icon shows the difference between H and H+)

ro.product.name=zeroflte is the final I have. Just erased whatever carrier code that was there and it disappeared.

Wallpaper parallax not working anymore?

I updated via OTA to BGO8 2 days ago and since then the parallax effect isnt working anymore, my phone is 100% stock, i even tried to delete TouchWiz home data with no luck, anyone else has this problem?

After the 5.1.1 update the parallax effect is gone.The only thing i can see when i activate the option is just a little zoom of the wallpaper.Anyone knows how to fix this???

I confirm. Wallpaper Motion Effect is not working. It maybe a bug. Hmmm....

Well, at least im not the only one, let's hope Samsung will release a fix soon.

I have the same problem.

If you take it to Samsung service centre I know what they would say factory reset or odin flash didn't think I would miss it not working but I do . I hope one of these clever chaps from here has a fix soon

i have the same problem too

Toggle is gone and I'm ok with it. Had it disabled anyways with previous version.

I've still got the toggle. Longpress homescreen->wallpaper. there is the option.

Toggle is there but it's not working the effect.

Mine too. Updated today after baying the phone and the moving stoped. im thinging to try with hardreset .

Its not just the parallax effect thats gone. Even the detail button under battery is greyed out and not working too!

That's true, i think this update it's buggy, let's hope Samsung will release a fix soon.

They shifted the ability to auto stop apps.. it was under optimise battery but now it can be found in Smart Manager > RAM > swipe left.. There's a new tab..

[Q] S8+ display doesn't rotate - stuck in portrait mode

I have the T-Mobile S8+ (SM-G955U). It is NOT rooted. I pre-ordered my device and got it early. I've had no real problems with the phone until this issue cropped up a week or so ago.
The rotate option in settings has completely disappeared. See attached. How can I get it back?

Have you tried a restart yet? That will fix a lot of little issues you might be having.

Also, have you disabled any packages with Package Disabler Pro or any other app?

Yep, tried the "soft reset" option: press and hold the “Power” and “Volume Down” buttons on the device for about 10 to 20 seconds. No change. I'm reluctant to do a Hard Reset (traveling) until I return home.
I had been using Package Disabler Pro with only a few things disabled. Figuring that it might have been the cause of the problem, I removed both the app and the engine. The the problem remains: no way to enable the rotation.

And you tried to go to the three for menu send change button order and see if it's on the bottom (disabled) and fresh it back to the top of it is?

I had this exact same issue with my old Note 5
Out of the box (In my case) my rotate icon was missing from Notification bar. I also had no root or any tweaks etc.
I spoke to Samsung rep and they told me to try some Samsung Galaxy fix from their app store. This app did not help (forgot the name)
If you Google this issue overall its a common issue
with Samsung's devices.
It was a big issue way back i think with S6 (not sure Google it)
I reflashed my stock Rom etc.. nothing helped.
Anyway what i did was, download an 3rd party
rotate widget app, from Play store and it worked 100%.
Rotate icon would show up in Notification bar..!
As soon as i uninstalled 3rd party app, icon dissappeared..! So i just kept the
3rd party rotate widget
Maybe to can try same ?
Bottom line,
this is an old Samsung bug that affects
only small percentage of their device.

Figured as such, but never hurts to verify the basics.
I remember their was an issue with some devices (S6 era) dropping quick toggles. Maybe try https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xpe.app.quicksettings.manager
Not sure how much it costs, I bought it for my S6 a long time ago. It won't open on my S8 but maybe something similar can be found?

Glad you have fixed issue.!
For me it was a very annoying and frustrating
issue. If i switched off 3r party toggle.,
Icon would disappear etc.
So just keep widget out of sight
(dock draw) and forget about it.

Split screen view option missing from menu

Updated to Pie. The split screen option is not in the menu no matter what app I try it with. I've checked every place I could think of in Good Lock, Nova Launcher & Samsung settings & can't find anything that would be preventing it. I even tried under Samsung Launcher & had the same result. If anyone has any ideas, please share.

If you have a specific app that you need to use in Multu-window with YouTube, you can also use the apps edge panel to open the pair simultaneously.

I tried a few things but couldn't replicate what you are experiencing. Are you running Good Lock? I know it has a feature that modifies multi window, but I don't know if it would cause the issue you have.
Did you take the ota directly from the carrier? Or did you flash the new pie update? Mine came from the carrier last Thursday. Today, I backed up everything and did a factory reset and it feels like it's running smoother. Maybe that could fix your issue.

Turns out it was a bug in Good Lock's Multistar. They pushed an update last night that fixed the problem for me. Thanks to all for trying to help.

[G955U S8+] NFC service disabled in system [HELP!]

So I noticed when I was trying to share via android beam that the option was not in my share list.
Then I went into my settings and I would enable android beam, back out and it would say off still. But I go back into it and it says on.
Then I pull down my QS and it is nowhere to he found!
I search NFC in all apps and nothing. But I search nfc in settings and long hold the first option, NFC pops up with the path "Apps>Info" I click that and it says disabled but no options except force stop, and clear cache.
It says being optimized for battery optimization.. but I click it. Goto all, and there isn't a NFC app.
TROUBLE SHOOTING THAT I'VE DONE:​
• Cleared cache by holding Bixby and volume up after restarting phone.
• Booted into Safe Mode.

anybody know a fix WITHOUT factory reset?
And I AM NOT rooted.

Just because its in Samsung doesnt mean its in android. Its like SD cards. Google removed all the code for it and samsung added it back in.
