Hi
I sent my phone to repair, but before I did so, I did a full backup with TWRP. I just rooted again and installed TWRP. I move the backup from my PC to the TWRP folder on my phone and then I enter the restore setting in TWRP but there are nothing.
Anyone know what to do?
Thanks in advance

after rooted my device i press enter recovery mode and the machine rebooted to the default one
all my apps and setting dissappered
can i restore them ??? i have most of it on the sd card
Please HELP !!!!
Did you do a factory reset or flashed a custom rom? Then I think the answer is "no".
If you made a nandroid backup you can restore it and then use Titanium backup or similar to backup your apps and settings and afther that you can flash back your custom rom.
You can't if you didn't make a backup before.
How to nandroid tab 21
Hello
Is there a way to create a nandroid backup , but that will also backup stock recovery?
or is there a way to backup only stock recovery somehow?
Thanks
And why would you backup stock recovery? You create a nandroid backup, and then u use recovery to restore your system from that backup. You need recovery on your device, if it's not there, you won't revover anything. That means that you couldn't recover recovery without having recovery, so making s backup of recovery is pointless.
Anyway, if something goes wrong, you can always flash stock via Odin, and that will also give you stock recovery. Unless, of course, you brick the device by, for example, flashing the wrong firmware.
And as to how to make a nandroid backup, get yourself a CWM recovery, boot into it and in the options you will find backup and restore.
And please use the search button, as all this info is very easy to find on xda.

Thanks you made it clear - that flashing stock firmware also gives the stock recovery. Ty.
Hi!
Im using sultanxda's CM11. After i backed up using CWM, it wouldn't boot into system. After backing it up, at first i didnt see the reboot into system option. I then tried to pull out the battery but when i turned it on, it would go straight into recovery. I then saw the option to reboot into system option but it didnt work - it just booted back into recovery.
I tried wiping the data/format system and tried restoring the backup but it didnt help.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I've been searching this forum but I cant find anything.
Would restoring to stock help? Can it even be restored to stock even if i can only access the recovery?
Any help or suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks

If you rebooted into recovery, you have no OS installed. If you have an SD card, this will be easy - put a ROM image on it from your PC, then use CWM to flash it. If you don't, you will have to see if CWM has an MTP mode. (I know TWRP does, but I'm not clear if CWM does.)
I've unlocked the bootloader on a HTC Desire 510. This triggered a wipe. Afterwards, I wiped the system using the recovery. I had some photos on the internal SD card that I need to recover ASAP. Currently, the phone doesn't have any ROM, and I can only access it through fastboot and adb (adb in Phillz recovery). I've tried pulling the images from /sdcard/DCIM, but it doesn't pull anything, saying that no files are there.
I'm thinking of running photorec on the phone, but since it's the internal SD card, I can't mount it to the PC from the recovery. I thought of putting a ROM .zip on an sdcard and flash it, but I'm afraid that a flash would make recovery impossible. Is there a way I can dump the internal sdcard image just through fastboot and adb? Any ideas would also be most welcome.

flashing a new ROM.zip will only delete everything for sure.
I'm sory to say it, but by my knowledge there's only one way to recover them, and that's by recovering a backup on recovery mode.
I hope you did make a backup before unlocking your bootloader. If you didn't, I think there's not very much you can do :s
anyway, please remember to ALWAYS make a recovery backup before doing anything in recovery.

What kind of backup??
For a nadroid backup you need a custom recovery, and to flash a custom recovery you need a unlocked bootloader...

Yes, AFTER I unlocked the bootloader. There were all in all two wipes, although the second one was only /data and /cache.
I did a backup using adb, but to my knowledge, that's only a backup of the apps and their data.
When you unlock a bootloader phone, you lose everything, including photos, musics, etc.
Do you have a backup of your files?
Sorry bad english
If I were you, I would restore the backup with adb and see if you have your photo's back.
Otherwise I have no idea for how you can restore them sory...

Why does nobody read my OP? I said the phone doesn't currently have a ROM on it. I can't restore that backup.
I'm going to flash busybox, a 300kb zip file that probably won't overwrite too much data, and use dd to get what I need.
If you have an adb backup of your files in the pc, you can extract it and get your photos back
Hello!
The Ota Update messed up my unlocked and rooted 6x It tried to flash itselfe with TWRP
The Phone doesn`t boot anymore, but TWRP is still working.:good: sadly my Internal Memory is corrupted: I can see the Name of my Backup, but it is "unreadable". i tried to put it on my PC... i ended up with an empty folder. Oh and yeah i didn`t backup my backup, i have the Phone just one Week now. so before i start fastboot flashing, can someone of you give me a TWRP Backup? Thank you!
To do so: Go to TWRP make a Backup. Now wipe Data,Cache, Dalvick and internal storage. Make another Backup. Please give me this "clean" Backup. Then you restore your first Backup and anything is back to normal
*Edit*
Ok my Phone is Back to Life
