Are sure your device is rooted because if it isn't SuperSU cannot update anything.
It could also happen if you uninstall 360 root before opening SuperSU.
Try rooting it with 360 root first, then close it and open SuperSU and see if it works. If it does just uninstall 360 root immediately and you should have rooted your device.

Use es file explorer
change permision to /system/bin to rw, tick all
run updated supersu, it will ask to update su binary, use the normal option
Kinguser or this Chinese app will ask permission from SuperSu, DENY!
Now you can successfully remove kinguser or this Chinese app
Thanks, but what is rw?

rw are permissions.

Hi I have just rooted and updated my son's HTC Explorer, but the superuser app keeps on crashing.
I followed the instructions at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1415223 which are very good.
superuser seems to be granting permissions as I have successfully installed the JaggyRom 4.1 [21-01-13] http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1930175 and Mount2SD appears to be working. I have installed all my son's apps and still have pleanty of space.
How do I update superuser without losing it?
Can I simply install a different version (i.e. the same one I have on my Desire)?
Uninstall the one with problem and install a new one from the play store

Maybe the super user binary is giving you issues... Try copying the superuser binary from another rom and replaced yourself one. Or reflash the whole rom without a wipe
You will lose stuff on your sdext cause of a reflash..

I had the same problem, just flash superuser again and then flash your rom. You will lose all your data.

I tried installing Barclays app but it doesn't support rooted apps. I saw somewhere that one should rename su with .su to hide root. Shouldn't believe everything I read online I guess.
Anyway it didn't work and now I cannot rename .su to su back. I have lost root as well. What should I do? Thanks.
I am running CWM and Cynogenmod 10.1.2
Resolved it

Hi,
There's a good chance that I'm actually part of the reason Barclays doesn't work with root access. When the app was first made, I was working at Barclays at the time so I tested it on a rooted phone and they made changes to it to stop root access being accepted :/
Anyway, there are some methods posted in the following thread which should help you use the Barclays app while still keeping root access, as they've worked for other people - Barclays Mobile Banking Root Fix.
Also, I've moved this to Q&A as it's a question

Disclaimer : I am not responsible if you brick your phone or if u make any other damage to your phone
So Lets Start :
1. First make sure you are running Jelly Bean 4.2.2 Build 15.2.A.1.12. Go to Settings > About to verify this.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
2. Enable USB Debugging , Go to Settings > About phone and tap 7 times on Build number to enable USB Debugging mode.
5. Open the vRoot and Connect your phone Xperia M to your PC , you will see a green Root icon in vRoot, click on that to start the rooting process.
6. When it is finished your phone will restart automatically and vRoot will show something like the below screenshot.
7. Congrats your phone is now rooted
Note :- If you want to change the Superuser app to SuperSU , just download SuperSU from Playstore , open it , it will ask for Root Permissions , grant it , then follow the screen instructions to update the binary and remove the other Superuser app , finally restart the application.
Note : This method works on both locked and unlocked bootloader devices!!!
Thanks @krabappel2548

1. do i need to have bootloader unlocked or locked bootloader is fine to root?
2. does rooting will void my warranty? i only knew that unlocking bootloader might void my warranty

No need unlocking bootloader for rooting our device
Do not unlock bootloader it is not necessary until if u want to Install custom rom and flash different kernel since stock rom works good
Ull lose warranty if rooted but u can unroot ur mobile easily by flashing stock rom
If unlocked bootloader Ull lose warranty forever even tat we can relock just don't do it

Hello! Sometimes we need to change our Root Access Managing app. Example when you rooted phone, Superuser was installed, but you want SuperSU or vice versa. Then it can be a very complicated process to manually remove and install things. So with Aroma Installer, I have created this tool which can help you to change from Superuser to SuperSU or SuperSU to Superuser. You can do this if your current root access app is behaving weirdly.
This will also uninstall pro/elite paid versions. This does not contain any warez.
READ ME
This tool is created by ONLY ME, so don't ask in comments for credits. I ONLY GET CREDITS. Sorry to be frank, but in my previous post
instead of useful posts, people were asking to give credits even though there was NO COPYING/NOT USING OTHERS SOURCES etc.
Believe me, I give credits where they are necessary. (Example check bottom of my posts)
You cannot copy this, modify this, port to other device or post it somewhere else without my permission. Thank you!

Features:-
1) Changes Root Access App in seconds* (*Depends on your speed )
2) Latest Superuser and SuperSU included.
3) After changing, if you revert back, then app access history and permissions remain same.
Example- If I allow ROM Toolbox Pro from Superuser, then switch to SuperSU. Then I revert back to Superuser, ROM Toolbox is still in the list.
(But it won't appear in SuperSU list of course).
4) First it semi-unroots/partially unroots your phone.
5) Then completely roots again with new Root Access Manager App.
Instructions:-
1) Download file from attachment. Put in root of SD Card.
2) Flash with CWM. No need to mount anything.
3) Follow on-screen instructions.
4) Choose Root Access app which you want to install.
5) Reboot and ENJOY!!!

The following post will guide you into successfully rooting the HP 7 Voicetab
Since there is a lot of confusion in HP's models .... Check if you own this exact model See attachments

Before we go ahead with the rooting procedure :
1. Please make necessary backups.
2. This works on the HP 7 Voicetab 1351ra .

3. This guide is not the only way to root the device. But it's the only one till date and the easiest.
4. I have tried and have successfully rooted the device .
5. I am not to blame if you screw up and kill your device.
Please read up on pros , con's and risks of rooting before doing this.
Steps
1. Enable USB debugging . (If u don't know what this is then u probably shouldn't be doing this )
2. Download the attachment.(Note that I am not the developer of this app)
3. Install the apk.
4. Google will warn you of the risks (Read it) and proceed .
5. Open the app and press on the Green Button . (See attachment 2)
6. Wait till u get a Green Tick . (See attachment 1)
Done
You should now have a new app called Kinguser which basically acts as a Superuser .
Proof :
If u want sdcard write permissions install KitKat sdfix from Play Store.
Thanks to KingRoot team for providing the apk .
