hi guys, i recently rooted my huawei ascend y300, but couldn't find any custom ROM for my phone, although there was plenty of roms for huawei g300, what you guys suggest ? is there any custom ROM i can use on my phone, can i use ROMs that's been developed for huawei ascend g300 on my huawei ascend y300 ?

Try search for "daytona rom", it's for g510 but works good and fast on Y300.

Interesting. Are the g510 and the y300 the same hw?

Why dont you guys type "Modaco Huawei Ascend Y300"
there SHOULD BE a link that goes Huawei Ascend G510 / Orange Daytona / Y300 - MoDaCo... most probably the first one.. that takes you to the development forums of the phone, its very active and there are a few roms under way already.
But yes, It'll be great to have an XDA forum for this.

Hi there. there is a german forum wich i found very helpful if you come across it if your using Google chrome you will receive a instant alert to translate to save time as well. other than that if you are not happy with any ROMs maybe look into learning how to develop new ones like me

Compatible Games
So, i was very confused about stock rom don't handle most games. Here is a list of games that are working.
-Modern Combat 4 (works fine on stock)
-NFS Most Wanted (same here)
-Frontline Commando (sometimes laggy)
-Frontline Commando 2 (After Restart, just a very small amount of lag if there are a lot of enemies)
-Batman: Dark Knight (textures are bad, not playable)
-Dead Trigger 2 (textures bad, playable but very annoying)
-CSR Racing (Textures are not good, unplayable for me)
These are the games which i was able to run. Other games just closes wothout any message.

i just bought the y300 & help me here, how did you root it? and its a bootloader unlock code needed?
too many complicating stuff searchin via google so i want the safest method to root mine

You don't need an unlock code for the bootloader.
You even can root the device without unlocking the bootloader. I did it that way and is very easy.

Dear Guys,
I need your help as last night I was trying to help my friend with his new Lenovo S960 phone and an auto update changed the UI and the phone to Chinese verison with no Google access and it's basically useless now. Can you please give me ideas how to roll it back or simply install a different ROM / UI? I was trying to find a Cyanogen option, but couldn't find it. Actually a stock Android would be great - or anything what is not in Chinese AND allows us to add a Google account, reach the Play Store, etc.

i have upgraded my huawei honor 4x che2-ul00/2g RAM chines version to
lolipop 5.1.1 "DEVELOPER EDETION " & NOW it's not accepting any rom exept
developer version!! i am trying to flash stable & official ron but no chance to success
phone is not rooted + lock bootloader(requested for unlock bootloader code from
huawei but NO code YET. also tried more then 100 time to root almost with all rooting
app and programs , nothing get result.

I received the new Lenovo phab plus without any google apps ( no google play, chrome etc..), also seems that the firmaware is code CN( china), the sotware version : PB1-770N_160701, build number: PB1-770N_S000101_160701_PRC.
I would like to unblock the whole chinese manufacture settings to able to have a full customize Phablet working aroud the world and wit hthe last android version . I would like to install French keyboard, language, download from google play store, etc... but impossible !
Can someone help me to unblock my device ?
PS: I'm in Belgium maybe it will help to find the appropriate root, build..
