Edit/customize Homescreen Widgets - Xperia Z3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
since yesterday I own a Z3, which is quite cool.
Before I had a HTC One M7.
I have a question regarding the widgets. How is it possible, to edit a widget which was placed on one of the home screens?
I'm only able to remove the widget, is there no edit function?
On the M7 I could long touch on a widget, then I could choose between editing and removing.
kind regards
Chris

[Q] Fancy Widget Pro - using 2 different weather skins

Hopefully, I'm posting in the right section. If not, please forgive me and move to the right one.
I have Fancy Widget Pro on my phone. The problem is, I want to use 2 widgets from FWPro: the first is a 1x4 clock & weather which I use on the main screen of my Droid Incredible. I have a custom clock skin I made for it and a weather skin i downloaded from the FW market. The second is where I run into a problem - I have 5 Day forecast 1x4 widget on my WidgetLocker Lockscreen. The thing is I DON'T want a background on that one and I also want to create a separate custom weather skin for that one.
In FW Pro, you can set the background to show or not and that setting is applied to every widget. Likewise, you pick one weather skin and that is applied to the weather in every widget.
I'm thinking the only way to actually have separate ones would be to decompile the .apk file for FW Pro and leave all the functionality the same but change any reference to Fancy Widget Pro to a new name (Fancy Widget Extended maybe) to in essence create a new 2nd App that could be installed on my phone. I not quite savvy enough to actually do that, but I'm wondering if I'm correct in that thinking or if someone else has a better idea.
Thanks in advanced for any help!
Eric

Weather Widget on Desktop

Hello All,
I wanted to ask about weather widget. I recently upgraded to CM7 now I dont have HTC weather widget on my desktop to the left of the main screen. Is there a way to put this widget in. I tried using add from menu and add weather but it does not look the same. Its smaller in size and not full screen like the stock used to be. I have HTC inspire.
Please help me if you know the solution to this.
Thank you
As far as I know, once you flashed CM7 you overridden the stock HTC Launcher so HTC widgets won't be available anymore. You'll need to search for a replacement on the maket.
Fancy widget is a good replacement. You can also purchase fancy widget pro if you want the animations
You should search for fancy widgets to get the latest version. it's indeed a good replacement for both HTC weather and HTC clock widgets.
As a side note, if you're missing some of the other widgets like contacts, calendar, facebook and others, you can try my new application Android Pro Widgets (search androidprowidgets on the market if you want to, but it is a paid app).
Edit: if this is against the rules please remove it, advertising was not my intention but I now realize it might be interpreted otherwise.
The weather widget (and just about anything that relies on Sense frameworks) are gone in CM7. There are however alternatives/ clones available in the Android Market like and Animating Flip Clock Widget (not perfect but pretty nice).

[Q] Widget like Sense Photo Album Widget

Hello Everyone!
I've got an HTC desire, and recently flashed Cyanogenmod. But, the only thing that I miss from Sense UI, is the photo album widget, the one where you could swipe away all your photos. Is there any identical alternative to that, or is it possible to install it into my new rom? Ive tried some Google Play widgets, but not quite the same as the Sense's one
No answer?? At least, tell me some widget that is very similar to it? Thanks

Remove first desktop lower side buttons.

Hello.
I'd like to know if is there an easy way to remove the lower side buttons in the first desktop of the ChaCha.
I'd really like to use the full calendar widget there, and I can't because of that two buttons.
I've tried other calendar widgets, and none of them provides the features the HTC has.
And also I can't understand why a simple widget has a download size of MB, with the simple task it does.
Thanks in advance.

Well, as far as I know, you can't hide the buttons on the first screen. You could try and use another launcher, but, that will make you loose the HTC widgets, since they only work on sense. When you, for example, buy Launcherpro, you can use the widgets from Launcherpro. Looks a lot like the sense widgets. Used it on my tab for over a year, and I'm pretty satisfied with it.

Help with calendar widget

Hiya, I'm trying to replicate a home screen for my HTC one and am having trouble finding out how to add the calendar widget with the day and date, I've included a screen shot of what I'm looking for.
Thanks
Never mind, I found it, it's Zooper widget
