[Q] Verizon GS6 on ATT - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S6

I am currently using an unlocked verizon GS6 on the ATT network. It is working fine, but it seems like my girlfriends ATT iphone 6 always has better service. Is this because my phone is the Verizon version? Would it make sense to flash the ATT GS6 firmware onto the phone? I am hoping to get rid of some of that annoying verizon crap like the notification saying my sim card is not verizon. Can't wait for CM to come out on this phone. Thanks in advance.

[Q] Considering moving to T-Mobile from AT&T

I have a Galaxy S III from AT&T and am considering moving to T-Mobile, I know several people who have it in my area and have good service, also I can have my phone and wife's phone with unlimited everything for roughly what I am paying for one phone on AT&T with limits, so seems like a good idea.
T-Mobile lets you bring phones from other GSM services and their website says the GS3 is supported, but I am curious to hear from anyone who has done this and if they had any issues when they did it. Also once switched over would I be able to get OTA updates from T-Mobile (like the 4.1.2 update) or would there be some hangup because it was originally an AT&T phone?

Change Verizon edge to T-mobile software

I have T-mobile service, but a friend of mine gave me a Note Edge for Verizon, because my phone died on me. I couldn't turn down a free phone even if it isn't originally for my carrier. Being that the Verizon phone is unlocked it will work on T-mobile's network however it comes with all of their software, and lacks some of the features the T-mobile version would else wise come with. This may be a silly question, but has anyone found a way to root and change maybe the rom or software boot sequence of a verizon phone to flash it to T-mobile software? Is that possible?

AT&T to tmobile questions

So last time I had a Samsung device it was a S3 and I have been using and loving my nexus 6 however it finally got a nasty crack in it so I'm downgrading to a Samsung s6. My nexus 6 was originally from AT&T and I just had to fill out some form online to unlock it to work on tmobile and I plan to do the same with the s6 however i was reading up and someone said their are differences between the s6 on AT&T and tmobile most notably Hotspot and wifi calling are disabled. Is this still true? Will I need to flash a TMobile ROM on my s6? Or will those features be unlocked once I insert my tmobile sim card? Thanx in advance.

unlocked S6 edge (us cellular) using with verizon

Upgraded my s5 to the s6 edge and i'm trying to get it on the network. The s5 has a large sim and the s6 has the micro sim so i couldn't just swap. Went to verizon. took the phones down and there system would not open up my new s6 phone. i checked online and the esn is not black listed but it also says no results found. the seller is trustworthy and said he unlocked it and used it on t-mobile for years, verizons plan was to have me bring in a phone that had a micro sim and would register. they would make a working sim. then switch them right back out.
What are your thoughts suggestions and ideas, i will be calling verizon again be 100 percent positive that if a friend brings down their verizon phone and does it for me that they wont have any issues at all.
I pay so much for this verizon unlimited that it really is a shame they cant get me fixed up, and switching plans is not an option. thanks everyone

Unlocked S8+ on AT&T?

Hello all,
A friend of mine is on AT&T and thinking of getting an US unlocked S8+ to use. He asked me what he might miss out on by not getting the AT&T version. I'm thinking VOLTE, maybe wifi calling. Idk. Can anyone enlighten us?
Thanks.

P.S. I swear this is really for a friend, I'm using a Verizon S8+ on Verizon :good:
I had bought an AT&T version of the S8 plus and unlocked it, then i switched the fw to the unlocked version and now i am able to use it on any carrier i want. The only problem is that i have to activate my service on one of my older phone that used the carrier i wanted.
Honestly, won't be missing out on much

So basically nothing missing. That's good to hear. He's already on AT&T but I don't know the sim card size of his current phone. We'll deal with that when we get there.
Thanks, appreciate the information.
I think you're right about WiFi calling unless there is some other way to add it. I'm looking for a solution for that. I just switched my AT&T S8+ to an unlocked ROM and that is the thing I miss the most. Not sure about volte.
