So I have this very annoying thing that happens on my Oneplus One. Any time my phone loses its cellular connection, I get a Voicemail notification (see picture at the bottom of the post). I get the same notification when my phone reestablishes the cellular connection. If I dismiss the notification, it goes away, including the statusbar icon, and does not return until my phone loses or regains cellular reception again. The notification even occurs if I initiate the loss of cell reception, like entering airplane mode.
I do not have any unread voicemails. I never set up voicemail through my carrier, as I use Google Voice, and I have cleared any unread voicemails from Google Voice. Interestingly, the notification asks me to dial my Google Voice number, not my carrier number. I have set up Google Voice as my carrier voicemail by dialing the special code into my phone.
Also, this happens independent of the ROM I use. I don't remember if this happened on the original stock KitKat CyanogenOS ROM, but it has been consistent with every Lollipop ROM I have flashed, which is why I am putting this in the general forum. Anyone have ideas?
Happy to provide any additional information, as necessary. Here are some essential facts.
Oneplus One - 64GB
Carrier: Cricket Wireless (AT&T)
ROM: SlimLP 5.1.1.alpha.0.3-UNOFFICIAL (build date: May 31)
Kernal: 3.4.107-SlimKernel-gde6d8ad

Thanks!

Just wanted to see how this is actually working if anyone else can figure it out cuz wifi calling doesnt work supposedly with our phones. Im on code named android 2.0. I download magic jack app. Register a number with it. Turn wifi on and take sim card out of my phone. Im just running wifi at this point on ics with hefe kernel and through magiv jack app it still makes and recieves calls. How is this possible even without the tmobile app installed which wouldnt work anyway

they don't work the same way. Viper will work, but native wifi calling won't work because kineto_gan isn't properly integrated into the kernel.
Is it the same number as your tmobile number though? that's the benefit of the Tmobile app, is that you can talk on wifi or network with the same phone number. there is a million wifi/data apps that work on the phone, but you need a second number. I use fongo which gives you voicemail and everything and is free since I'm on a txt only plan, if I need to make any phone calls of length, I use my fongo number instead.
I used this without the sim in there without the wifi calling app with ics. Yeah i get that its just through wireless but its really the first program to let a number ring with no service. **** like skype links to username etc.

Got this device when it first came out on Verizon. Full root, s-off, etc. Flashed many roms since then no issues, currently on Viper 1.5 rom. This started about 2 days ago and nothing i can think of would of caused it except using this emulator string
su
am start -n com.htc.android.htcsetupwizard/.activity.CustomizationActivity
which is used to get the larger mms size limit for this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2721582
I did the string as a whole instead of su first then the second part and got an error. Then did su, then the second part, it worked and reboot. This issue started that same day which is why i'm thinking maybe this had something to do with it?
Whenever i send mms, contact vcard, group message, or access VVM all the signal bars go away, sim card icon shows on notification bar, bubble pops up on the bottom of screen saying preparing sim card, then i get signal bars again, then this cycle repeats itself sometimes several times before sending the mms, connecting to VVM, etc.
I've tried a full factory reset, taking the sim card out, back in, reboot, no changes. Called Verizon and basically they said only other thing is new Sim card or new device.
Just seems weird this would happen and hate to go through a new device. Hoping maybe someone can shed some light on this and maybe a setting can be changed to fix this issue?
I can surf the internet fine, make and receive calls fine, receive mms fine, mail, etc.

Hi everyone,
The wired problem is every time I press that button, it won't show my emergency info but reboot my phone signal(signal bar will be empty with a "x" then come back automatically). It worked before, and I think this happened after I rooted my phone with Magisk.

Any ideas about this? Thanks in advance.
Basic phone info: stock Rom 8.1, stock kernel
Solved: Because of a misconfigured theme file.
I think the phone changes (or resets?) some network configs as part of enhanced emergency services in preparation for you to dial 911. I just checked and mine does it too although I don't know about previous phones or android versions. I'm inclined to think it's more of a feature than is apparent.

Might be, but when it was working, it would show my emergency contact info. Right now nothing happened only got this problem (and just found the left up corner also said no service no sim card), and also no dial panel to dial 911
I'm located in the UK and live in an area where the Mobile Phone signal is hit and miss.
This isn't to much of a problem as I always have WiFi.
However since purchasing a Pixel 2 I am bombarded with a "Phone Services" notification informing me
"No voice service - Temporarily not offered by the mobile network at your location."
This is because the weak Mobile signal keeps dropping in and out. I understand this is not the Phones or Google's issue.
However I would like to disable this notification if at all possible, any ideas how????

Long press the notification. There should be a settings page. On said page, there might be a toggle.

I'm having this same issue. There is no toggle, it's very annoying, especially as I get the notification on my watch every few minutes.
Hello all,
I seem to have an issue with the phone whereas phone calls are not working on the phone (call \receive). I thought it was an issue with the phone not unlocked but it is. I confirmed by looking at the following:
- Phone says Tmobile at the bottom of the screen
- when searching for networks, mentions all - Tmobile, ATT, Verizon, MetroPCS
- manually selected Tmobile as well as Auto Select Network
- texts work on the Tmobile Sim
- Chrome browser loads pages (data not set to roaming)
- factory reset phone and the issue persists
- inserted known working Verizon Sim to test phone ability to make calls \ receive and works ( able to dial out and ring)
- browsed around the Phone app => turned off Assisted Dialing, Video calling
At the moment, I am trying to get the KDZ to possibly flash the firmware to see if the Radios flashover.
Any thoughts?
Nevermind.
I was able to confirm that it is unlocked and able to work with TMobile....sorta. Calls come in when the phone in certain areas where it can switch to a 2G network and switch back to LTE once done.
I also noticed that the 5G UWS icon appeared in some areas. Speed test doesn't show anything 5G like (20mb down, 17 up).
I would hope that cross flash comes out soon. Lol
