I am using my pico as a modem to use 3G on my laptop by making a wifi hotspot but when i turn on mobile data then it works for few minutes and after that it starts to automatically turn off and turn on . This loop makes it unusable to use internet because it turns off and on in 2 seconds.
also i am running windows 8.1 and usb tether is not working even after installing the windows 8 drivers provided in themes and apps section . Please help ASAP .

I am currently using a Windows Vista based laptop with a Intel WiFi Link 5100 AGN wireless card in it with updated drivers. Now whenever I try connect using connectify to make a wireless hotspot it does create a hotspot, but on my android handset I can't find any wifi network in range. Pls suggest a way to reverse tether my phone with my pc without the need of rooting the phone. I am currently using a Android v4.0.I am using internet through a USB Data Card.

your going to have to root it to be able to tether pc to your phone or phone to pc.
use "pda net+" for usb theathring wifi hot spot as wel as bluetooth theathring.
There's another app called FoxFi that claims to handle wifi tether w/out root. But I've never used it ,and i'm not sure if it works to tether in either direction, but worth a quick look .... (can't post a link cuz i'm not >10 posts yet)

So I'm running win 8 on laptop and it has issues tethering wifi by randomly shutting off. In waiting to update, so my question is... Can I use something like bluestacks to run Android with a wifi tether so I can connect my phone to the wifi so I don't run into this windows issue and connect my phone to the Android emulator? Or will this just not work? My phone only 3g.much rather use high speed via wifi.. My room is two stories up and it won't reach router but laptop does, tis the reason I wanted the tether thanks

Btw, I tried running foxfi on it, hit widget to turn on, but none showed up on my phones wifi list. Is it cause it's using windows wifi? Didn't see wifi option in bluestacks.. Do I need to run wifi within Android for it to work ? If so, can win and Droid share it?
Now the mobile hotspot feature on my windows 10 laptop is saying "We can't set up mobile hotspot because your PC doesnt have an Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or cellular data connection."
This started after a windows 10 update last night/this morning.

Any suggestions on where to look or what to do on my computer to reverse this change?
To add to this I have just uninstalled the update from yesterday and the problem is still occurring. So no changes after uninstalling the update.
Alright I was able to get around the problem when I realized that PDAnet already had a fix. Posting this to help others
Go to the PDAnet at the bottom right.... click it and choose WiFi Share (beta) and it will turn on the hotspot!
the mobile I have reset to factory mode . No Install any app .
Using internet sharing (Tethering). set 5Ghz.
5mins none using then auto-stop.
about 10 mins later . Re-start the internet sharing ..
My pc , notebook pc , tablet .... ALL can not search the mobile AP
only initial air-plane mode 30 sec .. then will be normal.
