[Completed] [Q] Few Issues from a newb after flashing VZN HTC ONE (M7) - XDA Assist

Hi All
I am android rooting newb, however an experienced software engineer
Context:
A T-Mobile customer, Already own a T-Mobile HTC One
Needed phone for my daughter - so I bought a Verizon HTC One (M7) Unlocked, on ebay with intention to use on T-Mobile (and maybe one day AT&T/Cricket)
had I known it was a VZN I would have probably skipped to the next one
When I saw it was on 4.4.2 I figured I'd get 5.x (Lollipop) on and maybe root just for fun
Did the S-OFF hack via Sunshine ($25)
rooted (I forget all the steps I used to root, but they involved TWRP in recovery)
Installed @santod040's Debloated Stock Rooted from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2485319.
My versions match the version screenshots in the post (except for PRL)
(Lollipop 5.0.2 | Sense 6.0 | 6.22.605.3 CL CL495599 release keys)
Issues:
Before flashing (and even after rooting) `adbd` (ADB Daemon, on the phone) used to run unpriviliged (probably user `shell`) so that you needed to run commands with `su`. Now after installing the above image `adbd`runs as root.<p>
For one I cant `adb install xyz.apk` from my PC because of file permissions, but in general it seems like something I'd like to avoid (does it mean any app can gain root without me authorizing it?)
While the phone seems to work fine with my T-Mobile SIM for calls, I have the following issues

}
I have to enter APNs manually (not sure I'm doing it right)
I have a SIM warning that does not go away in the notification bar
Questions:
Should I have flashed with Non-Verizon image? or radio (I read that this phone has only one LTE band supported, and its just the CDMA Is this different radio hardware than the non-cdma models, or is it just a different radio image, do they expect their global-roaming users to have super slow data?)
Is there anything I can do to gain normal data functionality on T-Mobile (i.e. LTE)
if so, can I also get rid of the annoying notification (not as critical than LTE)

Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. Unfortunately Verizon only uses 700Mhz LTE, see this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-htc-one/help/frequently-questions-t2875695. So you are not going to get LTE on T-Mobile.
Here is some more information, none of it looks good for you

[Q] No service after formatting the yl-parames and NVram partitions on coolpad 7295

I've bought this Coolpad 7295 phone for less than three days from China.
It seems that I couldn't flash my phone back to the state where I could get the service for calling the first day.
After the second rom flashing with my flash tool. I kind of formated the Yl-parames and NVRAM section of the phone.
I don't know these two mean! Could someone explain how they work? Are they related to the hardware or the motherboard of the phone?
After the wrong formatting action, my phone could not make any calls. (But everything works, and network works also. And later I flashed many roms, all of them work, just no signal)
So the third picture shows that this device has a different partition compared to the most smartphones in the hardware called "YL-parames".
My friend who is good at making custom roms in Taiwan said I might accidentally screw up with the hardware partition.
I just want to know with this problem appearing, is there any other way that I could get my signal back?
I've tried several methods like rewriting IMEIs, reinstalling the official roms, but none of them work.
Or should I just send it back to the dealer to get it fixed? (I'm doing it right now...)
Just want to know in case the phone is back, how should I operate this flashing tool because I'm really a tech-savy
1) The first picture represents what i chose for the outcome of no signals later on.
2) The next one is its interface
3) The next one is the official flashing tool, but I still can not flash the CPB provided by the official since my hardware seems to be broken.

I would really like somebody to develop the custom rom in the English version for this device, this device is pretty good!
Or is there anybody using this phone as well? It's nice to have someone to exchange info with!!

[Q] "Three" / "3" UK One S (Ville, S4) - HBOOT 2.13 - Looking for answers
Guys. Basically I am looking for many answers
This is what I had coule of days ago and I was trying to find the correct RUU for my Htc One S (S4) / aka Ville.

Today I have ended with:
And just to clarify and make a small summary.
I don't know what is mine version-main.
H-Boot is the 2.13 version
Baseband is 1.11.50.05.28
I was able to unlock the bootloader with unlock.code
I was able to install TWRM Recovery (currently I have v 2.6.0.0.)
I was able to install su (superuser) priviliges
I don't know exactly how - but rumrunner has made the job (after 2 days of a fight with it) and I have S-OFF
And also - I was able to use revona to remove TAMPERED info (thank you for that)
Yesterday I had CID: H3G__001 (H3G_01)
I was able to change the CID to 11111111 with fastboot as I have found on xda (yupi!).
And ok.. now let's slow down.
I am almost 30 years old, I have degree in IT but I am not a big a phone geek (ok.. maybe a little when I was flashing Samsung i-780 with Windows Mobile 6.5).
To understand what people are talking about in threads regarding One S - I had to spend a lot of time, reading, reading and reading.
So please - do not use so many shortcuts or slang words in replies - I will get lost really easily.
I have now couple of questions and please correct me if I am wrong.
I should be able to install any RUU I want, because I have S-OFF and CID 11111111?
(sorry for such a question but wherever I will check with question: which RUU I can use to recover my phone from a disaster - I am getting some different misconfusing answers)
If I would like to update HBOOT - what precautions I should take and should I update the HBOOT?
I believe that updating HBOOT to at least 2.15 will provide me ability to install Android 4.4.1? (currently I am on Android 4.3.1 CyanogenMod 10.2.0-ville) - is that correct?
And final thing - I have read a lot removing this bloody red information from the booting screen saying:
This build is for development purposes only do not distribute outside of htc
But I am lost. I have a list of files which can be used to remove it - but none of them is matching my model ID (all files are for modelid: 0P3P51000 when I do have PJ4010000)
Is this relevant?
I am hoping to hear from you guys!
If there will be a chance that I can help anyway (because of my different phone details - I am happy to help)

Motorola Droid Ultra don't recognize signal from chip 4FF

Hi everyone, greetings from El Salvador, a little country in Central America... well, I have a problem, recently I bought one Motorola Droid Ultra XT1080 from eBay, the phone is already unlocked, but when I put a nano sim from my cellular service the signal meter appears empty, don't recognize any network, and when the chip is in appears a message from phone: "This SIM card is from an unknown source"

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
But in settings -> About phone -> Status -> ICCID: Appears the ID from my SIM card, so, this phone read my sim, but doesn't connect to the network.
The phone has an Android 4.4.4 Os Version, and in some places on internet I've read that this version has a problems with, so, I wanted to make a downgrade from Android 4.4.4 to 4.1.x and read this thread: Downgrade Tutorial , but I can't do this because the phone has locked the bootloader (I think this is the problem to make the downgrade), also I tried to put a cyanogenmod firmware from recovery mode, but the installation was aborted in all time that I've tried. Already read this thread about bootloader unlock but my imei is not supported (9900xxxxx) Bootloader Unlock
Well, I also thinked that the IMEI has bad, but I've checked and the phone has a CLEAR IMEI, because in some videos in youtube some solutions consists in change the IMEI number to phone, but to make that the phone must be root, and when I try to install PwnMyMoto the installation was cancelled by Android, also whe I tried to install with adb.
So, please help me with any solution to my phone can make calls and recognize the network.
Thanks, and best regards.
DE.

How to flash back to stock software on D6603 - Bell Canada?

Hi folks, I've been updating my phone using the latest rom I can find on this site for my rooted (bootloader unlockable) Bell mobility D6603
One of the things that has been driving me crazy is that I always see the notification that a new software update is available but it can never 'verify' the software for me to download it. So I end up trying to find the equivalent on here which is getting really annoying. Also I'm thinking of selling this phone so I would like to find a way to stop these messages and to see if going back to a stock rom will allow the phone to update the standard way so I don't get emails from the buyer claiming I sold him a busted handset.
If anyone can help me out with either a way to get the phone to update without having to do it manually, or a way to flash a stock rom that does, that would be much appreciated.
Here's a screenshot of my current install:

The reason it cant verify the update is because you are rooted.
Find and flash a stock ftf for your device through flashtool and you will be fully unrooted and be able to download updates ota.

Any universal root that works on all phones? (Stuck rooting LG H486 KitKat)

I have exhausted every root method that might work for the LG486 and nothing works properly. The most I can get is super user appearing in the app list but not properly installed. It wasn’t a very common phone so it’s understandable that there is no working route.
My end goal is to edit edit build.prop, so that android 4.4.2 appears to apps to be android 6.0. I need to install a certain app on the phone.
All the options found via Google for root either do not work or lead to broken file links. I have also tried Universal options like Kingo Root and Androot but they don't work at all.
Is there any universal root that I could try which is supposed to work with any phone?
Or is anybody able to help me route this phone? I’m happy to pay for assistance. Thanks.
Simply editing build.prop doesn't help, IMO, because the files that make the Android OS ( read: libraries ) mostly changes from SDK version to SDK version, means apps compiled for Android 4.4.4 may not working properly on 4.4.4 onwards, and reverse.
Probably won't... but might. I'm open to other solutions if you have any.

Probably some pop ups will emerge if you fake that Android version...
And that app you wanted to change probably has some reason why it needs be that 6+ ...

Unfortunately this only half worked on the LG D486 (Wine Smart).
SU is installed but reports "There is no SU binary installed"... and RootChecker confirms not fully rooted. I can't edit root items such as build.prop.
However on the download boot screen, it did say in small red text, "ROOTED" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Is anyone able to help fully root the LG D486?

Okay, you tested it already... maybe you should try it by hand then...
To see what's happening... lglaf.py might work if send_command.exe doesn't...
