[Completed] Galaxy S4 19500 (OS 4.2.2) lock screen freeze issue - XDA Assist

My Galaxy S4 is running on android 4.2.2, lately I've rooted my mobile. I had no problems, but now I'm facing a problem and that's with my built-in lock screen.. When ever I lock my screen in the middle of using any app, the lock screen freezes. Then when I try to unlock it the lock screen pops up but the touch doesn't resonps. Then I have to pull out my battery and restart it. After restarting the mobile for a few times it's works good but after a few locks and unlocks it starts to glitch again...
After rooting I haven't done any thing with the system apps, excluding some google apps that I removed from the system apps. I've also tried uninstalling my user apps one by one and factory resetting the mobile but that didn't help me at all. Please give a solution to this glitch.

Hello, and welcome to XDA! You could try going into recovery and wiping cache and dalvik, to see if it helps. If not, an idea would be to clean install a rom or reflash stock firmware. Or you could ask for help here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4. There are roms here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4 in the development and original development sections that fit your particular S4 version.
Good luck!

[Q] Lock Screen not working on Android 5.0 with Root

Hi,
I'm using an unlocked Nexus 5, and flashed as soon as the factory image was released. I used CF-Autoroot to gain root access.
The problem that I'm having is that the lock screen does not work. This means that when I lock the phone (power button), it just fades to black, but when I hit the button again (either immediately, or after a wait), I go straight to where I was, the lock screen does not activate no matter what I do. I've tried letting it time out, still no luck.
When I restart the phone, it shows the lock screen, but sounds like something is trying to unlock the phone, and the phone then unlocks and doesn't lock again. I've tried disabling all Device Administrators, with no luck. I tried a factory reset and then a re-flash followed by another factory reset, and the problem still persists. I've also tried toggling Smart Lock on and off, still no change.
If I go to the security settings and re-select a Screen Lock mode, then the lock screen shows up again, but after I unlock, it goes away never to return.
This has been extremely frustrating, since Smart Lock was one of the features I was most looking forward to. Does anyone know what could be causing this?
The current Root apps that I use are:
1. SuperSU (obviously) 2.23 BETA
2. BusyBox Free
3. AutomateIt Pro
4. Greenify
5. Power Toggles
6. AdAway
7. Titanium Backup
Another note: After the factory-reset, wipe, flash, factory-reset that I did, I restored all non-system Apps and data with Titanium Backup. Just putting this here in case you guys know of any app that causes this problem.

Mine fixed itself after I manually installed the latest Google Play Services apk. Maybe try that and see if it works for you...

[Completed] Galaxy S4 Solid Blue LED on boot and settings stoped working

Hi guys, I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 (GT-I9506) and my phone belongs to a ROM region that was stuck on 4.3
Yesterday, bored of my friends have the mostly recently android and I have a "old" one, I decide to install another ROM from a different region. Everything seems to be working fine and I doesn't loose any data during the flash, but the point is: On startup my LED keeps on solid blue (green doesn't gets on and off) and in the settings, when I go to Screen > Notifications > Recomended apps, says " Settings stoped working ".
What should I do? Hard reset, reinstall another rom...
Anyone??
Hi, thank you for XDA Assist. When ever you flash a new Rom you should do a clean install, wipe data and the caches. Yes, you will lose data but you will avoid issues like you're having. Try that first. If you still have problems you can post them here,http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4

[Completed] LG G3 VS985 constantly rebooting

My phone constantly is restarting after successfully booting into the software. Once I unlock my phone and start to do simple task it instantly freezes and restarts immediately. I have Skydragon installed with its custom kernel for Android 5.1.1. It had the same problem before when it was on the stock software. I need a fix, I have factory resetted over five times to see if it would resolve the issue but hasn't. It even crashed and restarted multiple times going through the setup process.

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
Try stock again anyway, especially since it looks like the older (kitkat) version, if anything it puts you in a favourable state for warranty work:
> Verizon LG G3 > Verizon G3 General > [Guide] [VS985] Flash Back To Stock - KDZ Method (updated)
Any questions about the process, you can post in that thread, once you have an XDA account.
Hope this helps, and good luck!

[Completed] Rooted device: camera and torch only working in safe mode!

I have a rooted moto g4 on android 6.0. recently my torch stopped working along with my camera (screen stays blank). Once I try using these the device starts to freeze usually and needs rebooting. When I run in safe/factory mode, these functions are fine so it's not hardware. I don't have a backup so I'd rather not restore to factory settings then root again. Massive yawn. What is causing this if factory mode has no issues??

Greetings and welcome to xda. Unfortunately anything could be causing it probably a corrupt file but there is no way of knowing without a log. If you make an account and ask your question here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4/help
the experts may be able to help you better. Catlog from the playstore is an excellent app to grab an error log if you want to try that
Good Luck

Black screen after Model logo

Hi guys, I hope that somebody can help me I'm experiencing a black screen after the model logo. I think that the mobile still works (I can connect with Smart Switch, the alarms ring, the touch is working).
It has happened after the mobile has freezed and I've forced the shut down. Now I'm able to use the recovery and I've tried to wipe the cache, do a factory reset and flash an original firmware with Odin.
Do you have any other ideas? The mobile has the developer option not enabled and it's not rooted. Thank you
I'd like to try to flash a new kernel. Do you have any ideas how to enable the OEM unlock option? I could use a keyboard to navigate in the menus but I have no other mobile to check the steps.
If it helps, I've changed the screen because it was cracked, I've used it a bit and then the mobile has freezed trying to open an app. I had to force the shut reboot with the screen still working and after it I've started experiencing this problem.
