[Q] HiddenSIMUnlockMenu.Apk - LG G Flex 2

I was poking around in my system folders and I found this apk just sitting at /system/app/HiddenSIMUnlockMenu/
I haven't installed it yet but was wondering if anyone knows what it is.
Will this actually allow us to unlock the phone?

if you want play with it:

Customize Maps/Navigation

Can anybody help me figure out how to customize the Google Navigation images? More specifically, I'm trying to change the navigation "arrow" that represents you as you move around the map. I've made the icons but don't know how to get it back into the program successfully. I've tried just installing straight up, I've tried resigning with Signapktic, and I've tried just restoring with My Backup Pro. None of these work. I've even tried just replacing the com.google.android.apps.xxxx.apk with my new apk. I'm at a loss. Is this just impossible?
I've looked around XDA and a few other forums but haven't even been able to find the slightest mention of anyone else trying to do this. I have a hard time believing I'm the only one who would want to customize this??
I don't think it's impossible because I've seen it done on gps's all the time. Maybe try resigning it on your computer then push it through ADB?
yikes, I never really figured out how to sign it on the computer. I'll read up to learn how and see how it goes. worse case scenario is I learn something

Uverse app on stick?

So I just got uverse and decided to try to install it on my mk808b. Att has it set that the app won't stream when it detects an external display set up. The only way to use a stick is with external display lol.
So is there a work around? Modded apk or xposed module? I've been googleing but haven't found anything.
Anyone want to help me mod the app? I've got it decompiled and believe I've found the correct file but my limited knowledge of coding makes me hesitant to move much further past this point.

install apps on dz09 smartwach

Hi, I open this thread ( which I hope is in the right place ) to try to find a way to install apps such as WhatsApp in dz09 smarwatch in this case , found no way through the internet and this is possible that these watches are sold with these apps installed .

I've been looking everywhere trying to find the answer for this. And I still have not found it
I've tried dozens of different APK files and every time I try to open Whatsapp or Facebook I get a message on my phone saying "currently not available". There HAS to be a way to enable these apps!! D:
I need help here I own one these things. I got it at a flee market I know it's a knock off. But I bought it mad cheap for one purpose only to hack it . When I say hack I mean to play around with it trying to see how it ticks and how to make it better. I have found absolutely nothing on this watch spec wise it was amazing I even found out the name thanks to Google and YouTube lol. But I have zero idea what it has under the hood spec wise nor do I know what OS it's running or the true manufacture. I would like to know if anyone has even been successful doing anything to it and have more info on the device itself.
If anyone on the site knows anything about this knock off it has a sd card slot so I figured you could at least flash something.

Mobile Phone As Bike Computer.

Hi
new to the forum.
just wanted to know if anyone has done it or knows anyone that has,
I've got an old xperia e1. small light, ant+ capable. problem is its running 4.2.2. and apart from using Strava alone. no other apps will upload to Strava as they don't seem to support the 4.2.2 upload.
I've tried to export the gpx files but they generally are corrupt.
what i'm wondering is. has anyone one managed to create just a piece of software that you can flash a phone with that only works as a bike computer.
I'm sure it must be possible for some of you clever peeps out there.

I have VTech Kidibuzz that I want to root to Android... is it possible?

The VTech Kidibuzz is a faux smartphone device that apparently is meant to be a kid's first "smartphone" while still being safe I guess. From what I can gather though, it's just an Android wifi-enabled tablet running some specific VTech stuff on it. I want to try to root it to see if I can flash custom firmware on it. Does anyone know if this would be possible, or if it's done before?
I haven't been able to find a way to access dev mode or any hidden settings, but it does interface with computers via USP or apparently SD card?

You can "enable custom apps" which basically means install the amazon appstore from the "Parents" account -> Device Settings -> Get More Apps but more importantly you can enable unknown sources from More Apps settings and from there you can download an APK Downloader or use the built in web browser to download any app you want. You can get a hidden settings apk and view the normal android settings menus but when I tried to enable developer settings in there it didn't work , I 'm still trying to figure out how to get the Play Store to work properly on it. You can read/write user files over USB. . I'm still ****ing around with it though.
I think it is definitely rootable and easily exploitable, the OS (atleast on my model) was signed using test keys, meaning you can replace any system apk's with your own, I unfortunately cannot test this as curious as I am because the one I am playing around with right now is a Christmas present and I cannot afford to take the risk of bricking/breaking it. I was just trying to get things like Google Play and Hulu working.
