hello everyone , i have been trying to unlock the bootloader on my xperia e3 and i checked it says its not allowed .... so i was wondering is there anyway to change this from no to yes ? i have read lots of things about getting it sim unlocked some say it worked some say it didnt .. so basically whats the easiest way for me to be able to unlock the bootloader as all i want to do is put a custom rom on it to free up some ram as i have 100 mb free and loads used and its hell slow !!!
If it says it's not allowed, it means you can't unlock it by any means.

So,I am from India and one of my friend just got a SGS4G from USA.
Now the problem is that its carrier locked and it wont accept our SIM cards.
-So how can I unlock it? Do I need to flash another ROM or is there any unlock patch or anything like that?
An I think the carrier is T-Mobile.
Is there any way to get the unlock codes from T-Mobile?

Unlocking bootloader is not dangerous, installing custom kernels might be.

No, it don't. We must wait for a solution in xda.
hope to get a solution sometime.... i've heard some roms can install with just root but no bootloader unlock... i guess they run on the old kernel
I spent a few hours last night trying to find an answer to this question but I couldn't work out what I need to do.
I've bought an Xperia E that's locked to the Tesco network in the UK. "Bootloader unlock allowed" is set to no.
Can I install a different OS to it? And if I can will this allow me to use a different network?
Is getting the code from Tesco the only way I can allow myself to use this phone on a different network?
Try flashing an unbranded stock FTF.

Nope, it still asks for a code to unlock the SIM and now I've lost all the settings I had on the phone. Would a custom firmware disable the network lock or can it only be done if the bootloader is unlocked. Can the bootloader be unlocked if that's the case?
Okay so yesterday after a fee hours of struggle I finallymanaged to root my xperia J but after *#*#7373823#*#*# it said my bootloader can not be unlocked and this is a massive problem for me because the only reason I rooted was for Custom Roms so can anybody tell me whether or not its still possible to unlock the bootloader and if so how?
Thanks in advance
