[Q] How to install tab S apps - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

How to install system apps such as the camera and gallery of the Tab S instead of the normal outdated current one running on stock 4.4.2 Kitkat

Usual method put them in the root /system /apps folder. That is providing each app is compatible .

sorry for my english
Root
Your Tab is Rooted (for accept customer ROM)
Superuser it's the level access of your account on the TAB to modified some system files.
1. Why do you want to remove Su ?
I have an Everest and i use the Omni ROM (superuser not integrate) this Omni rom turn better compare CM11.

I want to remove the root because the App premium play does not work (with root active)
What are the files to delete to remove superuser?
Omni ROM is better than the CM11?

1. Create a SD-EXT Partition as well as SWAP Partition
2. Install Mounts2SD & transfer all apps to sd-ext partition
3. Use CleanMaster
4. Go to Developer Options -> Memory Management -> Enable SWAP
5. Install Xposed Framework & Boot Manager Module
Try these steps & see if they help.

Its because of insecure superuser binary. Download SuperSU and update binary within that app, it will also promt to remove other superuser apps pre-installed. Then remove xposed from titanium backup and then install new version. I am using this ROM right now

Try looking here [ROM] [GUIDE] Lenovo S820, stock multilanguage rom by Pr0xiMUS
Because there is not a specific forum for your device, this thread will be moved to general/help

Is there any way to replace the chinese apps with other apps as I dont know chinese

Click to collapse
yes, download SuperSU, and copy it to /system/apps with a root browser, fix permission, remove chinese app, reboot
if you install SuperSu from play store it will be something like /data/apps/eu.chainfire.supersu.apk
you can try using it there, but you need to move it to /system before you remove chinese app
there are several root browser/explorer/file manager that will work but it needs to be one with root access options
the chinese app should be in /system/apps not sure of name.
Fixing permissions: Looks like
Read Write Execute
Owner:................X .......... X............ _
Group:.................X .......... _ ......... _
Others:................X .......... _ ......... _
RW-R--R-- 0644
This should correct setting, but compare to other system apks.
I replaced the chinese super user with the supersu from playstore with the help of this link. http //forum xda-developers com/showthread php t=2532818. but now I am facing a problem that Firstly I lost root and secondly when I open the supersu apk I get a msg that "there is no su binary installed and supersu cannot install it. If u upgraded to 4.3 u need to manually reroot it. I tried to update the supersu apk from playstore but I get an error cannot update it. Please help how to install the su binary.

You have to reroot.
Try one of these
RootMaster Links
Rootmaster apk or Here
and
Rootmaster.exe run from PC
Most android devices are rootable by one or both these options.

[Completed] KingoRoot Superuser app keeps crashing. Want to switch to Xposed.

I used the KingoRoot APK to root my Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 GT-S7275R (stock ROM, android jellybean 4.2.2), but the superuser app that comes packaged keeps crashing after a couple seconds and doesn't even load.
I am looking to unroot my phone to switch to Xposed, but am at a loss as to how without access to the app.
Can anyone help? I can provide any other info necessary ?
Hi !
In order to use xposed you must have root access .

[Root][Nougat]Enable the built-in Unit converter in the STOCK Calculator App

This little mod can only be done on rooted phones at least, recovery recommended because you have to modify a System file: system/etc/floating_feature.xml
Just (carefully) add this line:
cachanilla86 said:
<SEC_FLOATING_FEATURE_CALCULATOR_SUPPORT_CONVERTER>TRUE</SEC_FLOATING_FEATURE_CALCULATOR_SUPPORT_CONVERTER>
Click to collapse
It should work on any Note5 and S6 and S7 models running Nougat because the feature is already there, It is just disabled by default.
I'm attaching a flashable zip with MY OWN floating_feature.xml. DO NOT FLASH IT AS IT IS, it is just an example for you guys. Make a backup of your own file and edit that and use the zip to install it (just replace said file with your own inside the zip) or add the line using Root explorer. If the phone bootloops you will have to flash the zip via custom Recovery. If you have a custom ROM or a stock one this will work. No need to clear caches or app data. After rebooting you will see a ruler like icon on the calculator app.
Works on Kongloid rom v11. Thanks !
Many thanks, worked on My note 5 (920I-XSP) official nougat Rom , rooted of course..
I want to ask.. where I can find a full list of features and csc modifications ?
I just updated app from apkmirrior and i have same feature without rooting. People who are not rooted just update app.
