Don't quite know what I did but battery now stuck at 100%
My plan is to let it run out, try to charge again, see what happens.
But... it says 100% in TRWP as well, and when I connect charger, it says fully charged, so I wonder if it will charge back again once I let it run out?

Recently when I have my phone plugged into the computer charging it will say its fully charge in a matter of minutes no matter how dead the battery is. After I unplug the phone it shows its true battery level, I have noticed that it still charges the battery if I just leave it plugged in, I just find it really odd that the system is reporting a fully charged battery. Anyone else experiencing this type of problem or maybe know of a fix?

Did you flash a ROM recently with your battery not fully charged? If you have then your battery stats are out of wack. When it says it is fully charged, just unplug it and re-plug it in. Continue to do this. Also make sure to run your battery down till it shuts off. This process will take you some time, but until we can wipe battery stats with CWM this is the only fix I know about.

you could flash your phone back to stock and see if it changes? or if you have a vibrant or an extra battery try using it and see if it says the same percentage or level
Hi everyone,
Its not a new issue actually but it start annoying me lately.. My phone never charges full for a long time, it always stops at 96%-97%. I am not talking about when i unplugged it drops to 96% issue, mine not drop or says charged it just stucks at 96% and stay at charging state.. Is there any way to make it work normally??
And i would like to add that i am using MIUI for a while now but i also had this issue with some other roms..
Thanks.
This is normal for the NxS, meant to increase total battery life.
You can "force" it to go to 99/100% by enabling the "keep display active while charging" option in development menu. 96-99/100 will approx take 3-4h using the normal ac cable.
However I'd not recommend that unless you are recalibrating your battery (deleting battery.bin).
thanks for your reply rentaric. i know its normal but i was not asking that. it used to charged 100% and said the phone is charged like then when unplugged it drops to 97% again just like you said.. but now my phone stays at 96% it always stays in charging mode i want to know is there any way to make it work normal again?
whenever i turn of my phone and i want to charge, it does not work.i see the battery and underneath it just 6 circles loading. i think before there used to be a lightening sign that showed up to let me know that the battery is charging and its not there any more.
when i turn on the phone and get to home screen i can charge it no problem.
anybody know what could be there problem, thanks in advance
What ROM are you on?
So my phone doesn't want to charge when it drops down past like 40% and when I try to charge it when it completely drains it just turns on instead. The only way I get a charge is when I take the battery out and let it sit for a bit but now that's not working, I'm going to try and leave it for a couple of hours and then try but this is really annoying and I have tried a new battery and no difference, phone simply doesn't want to charge
Has this happened to anyone before?
Try a new charger

tried many chargers lol its very strange like my phone is off and as soon as I plug in the cable the phone turns on, but doesn't charge...
Hello, try to load it via USB, or a phone reset (factory setting), there must be a program kidding.
If your phone is flashing, the places of origin, and try again.
Have you touched the wipe of your battery ?

What ROM ru using? And what kernel is it using?
Does it have a fast charge option?
Either way, flash back to a GB rom that was stable for u and charge while off. Then turn it on to recovery and from there wipe battery stats.
U should be good.
There's more but first see if this solves the issue
Vs Nexus S 4G
Try cleaning the USB port and or replacing the battery.

Hello guys,
I tried nearly everything to calibrate my battery but for somehow it doesnt work.
I flashed serveral recoverys and roms so i decide to recalibrate it.
I followed the instructions on xda, first without root app.
I charge my phone up to 100% after booting it shows 97%. Ill charge up to 100% again and reboot. I did this serveral times but after rebooting i get always something like 96 - 98%.
So i decided to charge again up to 100% and discharge all the way.
After a while the phone shuts down. Now i plug in the charger. It shows 52% (wtf)
Ill boot the phone. It shows 50% but after a while it shuts down immediately.
So i thought using an app for batter calibration does the job cause normally it does.
But it didnt work. So now in asking if some u guys have any advice how to continue.
If i dont use my phone, just lockscreen the battery lives for ever but as soon as im starting doing something its draining way to fast. Somethings not right.
Thank u very much and sorry for the bad english
