[Q] Hard Bricked ATT SGH-i497 Help - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, I've accidentally hard bricked this tablet (SGH-i497) by flashing the wrong recovery image. No download mode or recovery, black screen only. Computer only sees it as qhsusb_dload.
What I'm wondering (obviously short of a JTAG repair) is if anyone could potentially make a working backup of their model using QPST as a last ditch effort? I want to see if this can restore it, and I know it's a long shot.

[Q] Bricked my phone -_-

Does anyone know how to un-brick a Motorola Cliq Xt/Quench? If possible...I recently bricked it (tried to load a custom recovery unsuccessfully). I used RDS lite v4.6 to restore it to stock version but it failed. I turned on my phone and went to and did a factory reset (i really don't know why.... i'm to much of an idiot) it turned off and back on but this time it to a blue screen displaying my phones info usb fastboot, machine id, and build date and S/N and says below ** Security on, fastboot disabled**
can any one help, please?

[Q] Bricked SCH-I925

Hi All, I have bricked my SCH-I925 (Verizon) And need some help.
What I have done so far:
I unlocked the bootloader with the tool from AdamOutler
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=41016954
It workt just fine, but after a wile I tried to do a factory reset. After that it was not booting anymore and always ended up in TWRP.
I then decided to do a system repair to factory rom with the Verizon tool, This went wrong and now it is not booting anymore. I can enter ODIN mode but it will not accept any roms, Also the Verizon repair tool is not able to load the factory rom and get stuck on 83% falling back to 66% with the message the device is unexpectedly disconnected.
What I have now is the unencrypted factory rom grabed it from the Verizon tool when it was trying to write it to the device. And a Unit that will not accept any writing of roms.
Does anyone know how to resolve this problem?
I also have access to a RIFF-Box and second working SCH-I925 but unfortunately no info about the JTAG pinout of the device.
hope to help

[Q] Bricked Kross GY-601 Chinese Tablet

Hi, I have a Kross GY-601 Tablet... One of the cheap chinese tablet you can pickup at factorydirect (Canada)
I seem to have bricked it when attempting to port Clockwork Mod Recovery to it. It does not show anything on screen or do anything, When I connect it to my computer.. It shows up as M6-CHIP in Device Manager as shown in my image.
The internal storage is completly gone as a result of my failed attempt to un-brick it..
It would be a great help if someone helped me fix this..
Thanks in advance..
-Henrique
PS: I'm only 13 sorry if my description of the problem is a bit bad..
Sooo,
You probably don't have proper drivers, use PDANet ones, they work even with obscure tablets.
You tried to port CWM or flash?
It's not bricked since your computer detects it
Last thing, do you have a backup recovery image or another recovery image that works so you can get it back up?
Daniel
I was dumb enough not to do any recovery image backups..
Also.. I ported cwm then flashed it with dd just poped the .img into the recovery block.. but since I didn't compile it properly when I adb reboot recovery.. It got into a boot loop.. so I tried to fix it but broke it even more... So then I tried re-writing the firmware for generic 4.1.2 chinese tablet.. but that messed it up to the point were it only shows as M6-CHIP.. i can only turn on and off.. nothing else.. no boot no screen light up nothing..
I can help you BUT....

not to bore you with details
but here is my noobish mistake tool form, i flashed the asus kernel .zip file to the bootloader using twrp.
now phone wont boot into recovery or bootloader
got the minimal tool which as you know include fastboot and ADB
but it wont detect the device ( it detected it before when i rooted the phone )
I made a backup before i flashed , but the problem i cant flash it to a device that wont go to bootloader or recovery
and wont be detected by ADB.
please guide this lost noob.
Hello Ultimician,
If your device cannot boot into recovery or bootloader it's a hardbrick. Flashing the wrong kernel will cause your device to hardbrick.
You probably still have a warranty, I'd go to your service provider and play dumb: "One day my phone just didn't turn on, I've tried everything even charging it."
If you know of someone that could JTAG your device you could go to them that might work, what the manufacture usually do is they replace the whole motherboard. ( What Samsung did when I bricked my device in any case.. )
Otherwise you could refer to these threads, be careful though they are not necessarily for your device. ( But they might be of help )

Carefully when they send a device back to the maker they can often pull information.like last install and all of that. If you had a back up. I would try to flash the stock firmware. They are ways to do this with jig and other tools. I would try to flash stock every way I could before I take it back. I had s3 and bricked it long time ago.after many hours of reading I fixed it. Please always when flashing make sure it's for your device. Wish you luck2

[Completed] [Q] M Horse (China Clone) Question.

Hello all, It's been awhile since I've been on.... A big while But things have changed a lot around and looks great, But on with my question. I have a M horse N9000W MTK6572, And recently tried a sys file restore using titanium backup and the process froze with a error stating that me deviceID had changed, Then the phone proceeded to reboot, But upon booting up it just stays on the android logo. Before this problem I was able to go into factory recovery as I only had the phone rooted but no custom recovery or firmware, And now no recovery using any button combo. I have asked a few on ebay if there jig or jtag would help but they all say not on the china clone as of yet. So is my phone a cool digital android desktop picture, Or is there a method someone knows
My pc nor mac recognize the device anymore either. Thanks in advance for any info or help
Hi,
I have searched and do not find information that is helpful.
With no recovery and no recognition from the computer, I'm afraid this is a hard brick.
Sorry, I know it is not what you wanted to hear. - support for almost any clone device is scarce at best.
