You can use ADWLauncher EX in the meantime. Touchwiz for SGS2 isn't working well for me either; it doesn't scale very well, does it?
Did you consider to hardreset the device? Make a backup of your apps and perform a factory reset. Afterwards restore your apps.

[Q] how do i backup apps as .apk files?

i would like to backup apps to a .APK file so i can put them on the computer .....TB (titanium backup) doesn't seem to put them in just a .apk so how can i do this?
id like to be able to use "adb install _______.apk" to put apps on a phone all at once without needing to buy TB as i don't have the money....
I just found an app that does that this morning. It's called apkExtractor by Kim Heeseok. I'd post a link, but you need 8 total posts before you can do that.

*sigh* can you put the link in a PM? or just put spaces between the parts so it doesn't register as a link, i can put it back together when i get it.
Here (delete brackets around https and .com):
[h][t][t][p]://play.google[.com]/store/apps/details?id=net.sylark.apkextractor
Edit: Just as a note, inside of the app, a long press of the app you want to export will give you the option to export it as an apk. It will be exported to "/sdcard/AppManager/yourappname.apk".

Titanium Backup
you can download it
Titanium Backup DOES back up apks, they just have them compressed...IIRC, you'll see the appname.apk.gz
You could also use something like ES File Explorer, which has a backup function. Other apps have similar capabilities.

I use the computer side of the 'wan dou jia' export! It is one of China's software.

Probably best to contact the dev about this.
I downloaded the APK from their website and overwrote the app and it seems to have worked........for now.
The best thing to do is going to your /system/app/ folder and delete Titanium Backup's apk . Then just install it from the market.

Hi precyse37
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
An initial search on XDA took me to the below thread:
[Guide] Noobs guide to use Titanium Backup for backup and restore of apps
And I found a lot more. I would suggest you to get used to XDA Search Engine that will be of much value for you:
[GUIDE] How to use the XDA search feature
Nice regards, good luck and mainly, have fun.
