[Q] Can i relock bootloader after rooting and keep root? - Sony Xperia M2

Can i relock bootloader after rooting and keep root?
i'm using Xperia M2 Dual D2302

Relock bootloader = loosing root.

Also seems pointless if you didn't back up your ta keys/drm

thanks guys for responding
all i want is updating the firmware from update center
can i do that with unlocked bootloader?

Ota updates don't work with unlocked bootloader, only way is to flash ftf via flashtool.

As far as I'm aware the issue still stands of the stock camera not working with an unlocked bootloader.

[Q] Sony Xperia Z3 root (lollipop)

Is there anyway I can root my sony xperia z3 (running lollipop) without unlocking the bootloader so I don't lose the drm functions? Or can I unlock the bootloader and then restore the drm functions? Someone help.
Downgrade to .77 , use giefroot, and install a prerooted firmware
Better explanation please?

Is it possible to root Xperia M2 (android lollipop 5.1.1)

I've always wanted to root my phone but didn't want to loose my warranty. So recently my 1 year warranty ended and now I would like to root my phone but I'm not sure how to do it and this is the only forum that i really trust.
I have the latest android version installed (5.1.1) and my phone is the Xperia M2 D2303.
It says that I can't unlock my bootloader "Bootloader unlock allowed: No"
If someone could explain how to root it please do so.
Thanks in advance
Only way to get root on 5.1 LB is by flashing a pre-rooted zip via recovery on rooted kk. If you have already updated then you'll need to downgrade back to kk then root(now much easier). Install recovery and then make your own pre-rooted firmware using the prf creator tool

DRM keys after relocking bootloader ?

Hi all
I'm rooted with unlocked bootlader for sure , so I used this MOD
[Z~Z5 Series][EXRxTHS]SONY DRM FUNCTION RESTORATION FOR UB DEVICE | Z3 lines support!
the new firmware is out now 32.1.A.1.185 , I want to give it a try
I want to lock bootloader and reflash stock firmware via flashtool , will I get the X-Reality and Sony audio and camera stuff working ?
or no because of lost DRM keys ?
if it's no, is there a way to get those functions working again ?
Thanks in advance

You unlocked the bootloader ? I did in my m2 but the tutorial that followed sent have unlocked bootloader , even had no problems in my
no i did not unlock the bootloader ..opps ..didnt know about it.
by the way what is sony ric?
will try that ..
any other solution ???
Nope, if you have bootloop and no back up to restore. Which I'm guessing you don't as you are trying to root. You'll have to more than likely re-flash the ftf ideally wiping user data and cache to avoid problems and start from from the beginning. My advice root the proper way.
