[Completed] [Q] Motox X 2nd in Bootloop - XDA Assist

Hello,
After the my moto "forced" me to update with the spamm, i updated it yesterday, but somehing must have failed, since my Moto doesnt start anymore.
when i start it goes till the screen where it says "ur device is unlocked" and its stuck there.
i tryed to go in Recovery mode, cleared cache and user data+settings. that didnt work.
what options are left for me? would an update help? if yes, how do i know which update i pick?
kind regards

The easiest method is to first root your device and then flashing a custom rom onto your device all the information will be available for you in your device verified section and the other way is to flash stock rom

with custom rom u mean unoffical OS, made by private dev's right? my device is unlocked, doesnt it mean its rooted? i would prefer a custom roms, if there are good ones out there

Hey,
I recently rooted my note 2 via some YouTube link.. Now for some reason I am still getting over the air updates and my recovery mode always goes into the Samsung recovery (only options are wipe data and some others.. The screen is black with a green android mascot )
However all the root apps are working.. So what do I do£
Do I install the update which has come over the airborne not?
Thanks for the help..
You should send us a link to the youtube link and you should get a rom off XDA, it works better and you get more support.
Hope it helps
What next

Have you even gone to the thread for your device and read there? That should be the first thing you do before you do anything on your phone. Following some youtube video then coming here for help is not very considerate. Also you provided no information.
Luckily for you. You have root access but you haven't installed a custom recovery yet. You need to do that next. Then install the rom of your choice. Look in the development section for your device and read the stickies. Good luck.

hi,
yes i did.. there was a video.. i watched a 100 of those before rooting the device .. so in the end i chose one which i thought i was the most comfortable with .
unfortunately this happened and now it has come notice that xda is the overlord of sorts in android .. at the time i didnt kow else i would have followed the xda guide..
hence i ask NOW WHAT.
should i unroot ?
my recovery goes into stock recovery and cwm or twer recovery doesnt work properly .. so hence my question was thus framed..
please give me a suggestion that you see fit

Dude. I just told you what to do. It sounds like you are already rooted so now you flash custom recovery and from there flash the rom of your choice.

[Completed] Htc one m8 without OS trying to install viper

Hey XDA'ers
few days ago I tried to reset my phone to stock settings and I had stock Rom and everything on except it was rooted and I had twrp on it.
I accidently wiped everything on my phone including the OS itself and thats what you call having a soft bricked phone i think
cause I can still turn in on and enter Bootloader and TWRP.
so I looked everywhere on the internet for the Stock Htc one m8 OS ROM and found nothing at all but lookalikes etc so I searched through some the ROMS and found viper. I have downloaded ViperOne and put it on my SDcard i dont know if im supposed to have S-off to use viper ? or if im supposed to have stock OS and apply Viper to that ? but after successful installation it Reboots and enters Bootloader instantly everythime i turn it on I used to have to turn phone on and hold power button plus volume up then down to enter bootloader but now it just goes straight into that. ive wiped all data chache everything except SDcard
many times and tried to reinstall viper after deleting everything again but with no luck
i will apreciate it alot if any one could help me since i have no other phone and my Htc one m8 is pretty new
Thanks in advance
Hi,
What you need is a RUU (firmware), for your exact model. The M8 section has development sections for each model/carrier....looking through the development section for your exact device will have the RUU you need and likely flashing instructions.
If you need further help, please post in the Q&A section under the M8...here is a link to the main M8 section.
HTC One M8
Good luck!
This may be a better thread to ask for help in also,

They have this cool feature called search on the forum. It is real nifty. It allows a person, much like yourself to search for the answers to questions that are asked a lot, or considered rudimentary. You should check it out. It will greatly help you. As the nice guy I am here is a link to the info you need;

Im confused. So you want to install a tool that's used for hacking, yet you can't figure out how to root one of the most easily rootable phones on the planet? Something doesn't seem right there...

If you want people to try to help you, you need to try to help yourself first. Have you even tried searching (both XDA and google) for your answer? The info you need is very easy to find. I'll give you a hint- MultiROM.

I've searched the development forum for your device and I don't see that ROM listed at all. Did you get it from XDA? Please provide a link.

Well, without seeing the actual ROM download, I'm guessing it wasn't built specifically for your device. Which means, you're most likely bricked. Sorry. If there are no signs of life, from your device at all, it is probably unrecoverable. When you plug into a PC, is it detected?

If you want to install MM 6.0, you need Kang TWRP [email protected] That's mandatory!!!
So I would like to recommend to you to look at following thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/transformer-tf300t/development/recovery-twrp-t3046479. There is for any question you may have to find the correct answer. Good luck!

Sorry, I thought your boot loader is already unlocked. This is one the basic requirements before you may be able to install both any custom recovery and any custom rom. There is also the fact being on the latest ASUS stock rom "Jelly Been".
That means you have to do your home work first before you do anything what can brick your tablet. How to do? you will find easily in the forum.
