[Q] Question about LG L90 TMO - General Questions and Answers

Hopefully this question is in the right place. I have an LG L90 from Univision which is essentially the same as the T mobile L90 model d415. I rooted it and installed TWRP on it, and want to get rid of it without going through a ton of steps so my question is this... If I use the phones stock "reset to factory" option from boot or otherwise will it overwrite TWRP and root? I already tested to see if I could get to the reset to factory option from boot, but I am concerned with the changes I have made might brick the phone.

[Completed] [Q] Trouble with bricked phone.

Hello, I recently bought a galaxy gear 2 neo for my lg g3 and was attempting to get it to work through various methods. After trial and error i decided to give up and sell the watch. I had had to make a few edits to my build.prop file and I had made a copy of my stock build.prop and saved it to quick notes. I was going to repaste the build.prop back to original today and when i reset the phone it went into a boot loop( i guess quick notes reformatted the build prop). I have the T-mobile variant and I am rooted, but i cannot access TWRP recovery mode, but I might not be doing it right:crying: I do not know where to post this issue.
Edit: I managed to get into boot recovery and I can go on from here, but I do not know how to delete threads
Hi,
You will likely need to flash stock again from scratch. Here's a guide on that. Any help with it needed, you can ask here too...

[Q] How to flash all or part of an OTA to LG G3 without losing root

Hello all,
I have an LG G3 that is rooted. Upon opening the box and turning it on, I got a message that says hey man update is ready. So being excited to have my new phone I was an idiot and hit update, not thinking that the new update from 10b to 11c would make it nigh on impossible to root. Whoops....so after a few days I was finally able to use LG flash tool to downgrade to 10b and used stump roots brute force method to root. I have SuperSU installed and I have survival mode enabled, but when I go to do the OTA update i get error 0x1111004 and the update fails. I have read on other forums when searching for a root method that there people who flash all or even just the parts of an OTA update that they want with no danger of losing their root privileges. So my question is, how do I accomplish this myself?
Thank you in advance for any help!

I'm assuming you have Verizon by the updates you quoted, if not do not do this.
Go to the Verizon g3 general forum and look for my thread titled "stock IMG files". There is instructions to flash certain partitions.

Hmm ... I am not sure if I have understood your question correctly.
You want to unroot your old phone?
If yes, then install SuperSU app (e.g. from Play store), open it and select the complete unroot option.
Or you have unrooted it already and want to root it again?
Then check this thread: [Root] Alcatel One Touch Fierce.
Or you just want to get a confirmation that you should get your sister's phone?
Yes, the LG L90 is a nice device ... see its forum on xda here: LG Optimus L90.
And you can root it easily ... like described here: [GUIDE][ROOT] Root your LG L40/L70/L90/G2 mini!.
it is unrooted. but.
When I go trade in will there be anything to tell its rooted? I might root that lg l90 but I don't want T-Mobile not taking back the phone if something goes wrong. I accidentally did a ota update and now I can't access my settings on the Alcatel. (I accidentally updated while still rooted.) I factory reset(recovery mode ftw) but I'm stuck in the sett up menu I can't get past language with the notification "unfortunately settings has stopped" but I can still use Google now cards and I got to play store and got some launcher(cm) and I use that but I can't access settings no matter what.

I'm still not sure if I understood what you want to do.
You void your warranty (depending on your country/carrier specific rules) already by rooting it.
Installing the OTA update might have unrooted the phone automatically.
I assume that manually flashing an official/stock firmware will be the best way to "prepare" it for a new user.
Please check the threads I linked in my previous post and ask there.
Thanks for your understanding. Thread closed.

Is the LG Risio (Cricket) same as LG Leon (MetroPCS/TMO)? If so, TWRP?

My gut instinct is that it is. The Risio is H343, the Leon for MetroPCS is MS345, and the Leon for T-Mobile is H340N. Phone Scoop says they're all the same, but of course they're not an authoritative source: http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?p=4705
When my G3 gets back from warranty service next week, I want to try putting the Leon TWRP build on my Risio: https://twrp.me/devices/lgleonlte.html
I realize I could brick the phone and that's fine. My question is whether or not there's any sort of prep I can do beforehand to (possibly) put it back to rights in case I do. If there's some information I can pull from the phone that might help, let me know. It's been successfully rooted using Kingroot (specifically NewKingrootV4.52_C127_B227_office_release_2015_09_28_105203.apk).
TIA!
EDIT: Now I'm even more convinced. According to CPU-Z, the model is "c50_crk_us", the board is "msm8916", and most importantly, the hardware is "c50" (same as the "code name" for the Leon LTE on TWRP's site). Is there any way to tell which bands my modem supports? The TMO Leon supposedly supports band 12, while the Risio and MetroPCS Leon supposedly do not.
hey if you find out more, please tell me, because I would like to get custom ROMs with the risio...I'm planning on getting it from cricket

Eh, I used Kingroot to get root and then tried to throw on the TWRP build for the C50 using the TWRP app. No dice, but it rebooted just fine. Then I tried to replace Kingroot with SuperSU, but that borked it somehow. It would hang forever at "Android is updating..." (or one of those other messages) and just never finish. When I tried to boot into recovery, I got a secure boot error, so apparently I borked the recovery install, too.
I told LG it got messed up during a software update and they gave me a prepaid label to send it to them for warranty repair. They restored it and sent it back to me without any hassle. Since I already had my G3 back from them, I sold the Risio.
I am trying to root y cricket risio
I am trying to root y cricket risio. I checked the Allow usb debugging thru usb. But when I plug it in. it goes grey.any suggestions?

Ways to recover data from soft-bricked LG G2 T-Mobile version

While installing the latest update from T-Mobile for my LG G2 (D801), my phone got bricked. It boots, shows LG logo and then T-Mobile welcome screen and gets stuck there. My phone is not rooted and doesn't have debug on. T-Mobile and LG tech support have told me that the only thing I can do is to try a factory reset. Unfortunately, that would make my data inaccessible.
I really want to recover my data and feel confident in following complex instructions to do so involving software or hardware manipulation. I want to learn if there are any ways to achieve that and what would be the chances of success.
