[Q] Odin fails after flashing Stock Firmware - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys.
I am very desperate. I bought a S6 edge and i want to flash a stock firmware (G925FXXU1AOCV_G925FDBT1AOCN_DBT) because now i have the firmware of the provider 1&1 (G925FXXU1AOCV_G925FXEG1AOCN_XEG). I want to flash the other firmware because in the current firmware there are ennoying apps and banners . Nvm. Odin fails at the the hidden.img and i dont know what to do. I also really read every thread where this or a similar problem was mentioned but i could not find a solution... Please help me I want to flash that firmware providerless firmware on my S6.
Thank you...

Hey there,
Download the latest version of Odin (3.10), that should fix the flashing issues you're having.
Best of luck

New Loly update (SINGAPORE) FOR N915G

There is a new Loly firmware update for Singapore available for download in Sammobile. http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/46491/N915GXXU1BOD2_N915GOLB1BOD2_MM1/
Has anyone tried to flash successfully the firmware??? I have tried updating several times but failed It claimed that the system ext4 image file too large or something??? Flashed back the latest Aussie firmware and all is good. I am not sure what I have done wrong here? could Singapore N915G different than the Aussie that would explain why I cant flash on my Aussie N915G??

I've found the Partition is different for Aussie carrier devices. You might need a dfferent PIT file...
Just be advised though, you may not be able to go Aussie carrier roms easily and remember, flashing a PIT file can be dangerous....

Just flash this Rom with Odin and rooted. No issue, no need to re-partition
My mods:

Modded S6 keyboard works
3Minit battery works
Edit:
No noticeable difference from the B0C2 I've been using
More crapwares from Singtel the provider

Flashing stock rom with odin / sw rev. fail

Hi, I recently tried to get my phone unlocked. I watched the guy do it, he flashed an older modem and then flashed a UAE firmware.
My original is O2 UK, and I'd like to revert to this firmware as the About Device section shows up with Unted Arab Emirates and the mobile networks section shows LTE rather than 4G.
I have tried flashing the latest revision of the O2 stock rom and odin fails attempting to write sboot.bin with the error message SW Rev. fail (I don't recall the exact numbers after this) appearing on the phone.
I am guessing this is the secure boot loader, which I am aware you can't downgrade, but is there any way of flashing this stock rom since I know it is compatible with the phone?
Try to flash G920FXXU5DQA7 (CSC code:BTU)

You could possibly use smartswitch if you have the serial number of the phone which would download the default firmware that the phone came with if odin fails again
Yes i agree, smartswitch could be your best option.
Thanks for the suggestions. Tried Smart Switch, same error. It appears on the phone as sw rev. check fail.
What exactly is the problem here? Is it that the installed firmware has a newer bootloader than the most recent O2 firmware? In which case is there any way around it?

Yeah looks like this is a bootloader issue, it won't let you install a firmware which contains an older bootloader, only thing I can is to download the latest non branded UK firmware and see if that flashes.
I'm getting this error too with Device 4 Binary 3 but i didn't find the right firmware yet
I hope in Nougat release

Sammobile is under maintenance right now and there are no mirrors reasonably fast... 8 hours for a download.
Anyway update is coming these weeks, I'll wait

As @sofir786 said, you can use SamFirm;

WORKING!
I used last(I think) ITV

CP: CP_G920FXXU5DPL3_CL8821257_QB11771442_REV02_user_low_ship.tar
Samsung updated their bootloaders to 4XX in September/October so you cant flash back an older one or downgrade,so the only solution you have is to flash the new one which is 5XX released this year.
Flashed the latest UK revision (not the O2 branded one) and it worked

Yes it is possible, I don't know why you would want to do that, but basically download a italy firmware from either samfirm, updato, or sammobile
If you don't wanna download an external app I recommend updato
If you want faster servers and stuff and you don't mind downloading an external app, then I recommend samfirm
And then flash the items in the zip with Odin with their own spots listed like ap goes with ap, etc
Hi 587.saboor and thanks for your answer
So I can just flash and upload the stock firmware via odin
What release should I choose, the last one, or an older one and then update at last version via Ota?

Going back to SM-G955W from SM-G955U

Hi i bought a second hand s8+(SM-G955U) it was still on nougat and i didn't get any OTAs, so i update it to Oreo with Odin. I still dont get OTAs, and i never could find my CSC related firmware in g955u models on sammobile. so i looked up my device in IMEI.info and find there that my device is actually G955W and from there i also found my CSC based firmware in Canada my CSC is XAC. I just also find on the back cover of my phone that my s8+ is actually SM-G955W. so my question here is how could i go back to g955w firmware? Just download g955w firmware and flash it through odin?
In setting my phone is
SM-G955U
Baseband version G955USQU5CRL2
Service provider SW ver.
XAA/XAA/XAC
and the firmware ive downloaded from SamFirm is
Model Sm-G955W
Region XAC
PDA G955WVLU5BRJ2
CSC G955WOYA5BRJ2
Please i really need help i dont know what to do here.

Use the patched version of Odin. Just search Google for "patched Odin" & you'll find it. However, if you use the G955W version of the firmware, you'll lose several features of your phone. For example, the G955W firmware disables the FM Radio. Good luck.

Thank you so much friend, i will sure try it and let you know.
You know i don't really use radio and the main reason to switch is because i don't get OTA updates, anti malware in device Maintenance's won't activate, and i couldn't install certain samsung apps like samsung members and samsung+
Thanks again
