Hi everyone,
I uninstalled the Huawei weather app because I thought I didn't need it, but I thought I'd give it another try. Could anyone upload the apk for me? Thanks in advance!
The Weather channel app...
I only want the best, so give me what I want! BMW!!!
I need the original apk from the system folder if possible, so I can use the lockscreen weather widget. Unless the Weather Channel app does the same trick.

Thanks for your help! I was unable to install it though, and simply copying it into the system/app folder wouldn't make it work. Fortunately, I remembered that I did a full backup with Titanium Backup when the system was freshly installed - silly me

No problem. Too bad the app from those links doesn't work, I didn't test it. Anyway, I can't uninstall weather app, working only on rooted devices I think.
Glad you solve your problem. So backup its a must for this situations. Good to know

It's part of the default lockscreen, you can swipe it up from the bottom of the screen, together with 4 app shortcuts. But it won't show when the app isn't installed.

after applying the YouTube HQ hack I noticed I can't metamorph the widget. It keeps saying "The theme you selected is invalid because the theme control file could be missing..." This applies to all/most of the transparent widgets. New metamorph version problem? If this has been discussed elsewhere sorry, please link, I tried searching.

Is there anyway to do this without using a different Launcher? I am using the stock Touchwiz and would like to change the icons and be able to download and use different fonts...
If so, can I use ANY font or only certain ones and how do I add it?
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
I'm looking for Geniewidget.apk (Google News and Weather apps) to install it on my Samsung Stock ROM (rooted). I miss the weather report from CM and can't find anything equivalent (ratio heat/rain probability).
I tried to install following S3 procedure but I guess the APK is not compatible with 4.2.2
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
How could you not love the Samsung weather app or Google now. Those are superior

Last question
It is a 4x1 widget, I use only the weather display. It would be nice to have it 3x1 (as it seems to waste the rest of the space). Any tips on how to proceed ?

some launchers have the option to modify the column/row number on the homescreen or let you resize widgets (eg. next launcher, ..)
i'm afraid there is no quick option to change a widgets size if the launcher does not support it
Here's a apk for a 100% transparent accuweather widget. It still has the animations cloud, rain, sun and star effects so that's pretty neat. I'm pretty sure you have to be rooted to install this but then again I never tried installing it unrooted. I used ES file Explorer to install the apk into device/system/apps. Make sure to make a copy of your stock accuweather and odex file before you delete them just incase you don't like the transparent widget. Delete the stock accuweather widget and odex then replace it with the transparent accuweather apk in system apps then reboot. After reboot you will have to go back into your widgets and pull the new transparent widget back to a main page. I've never tried having the stock apk installer install the app so I don't think I would try that unless you don't mind resetting up your phone if it doesn't work. Install this at your own risk and I'm not responsible if you mess up your phone.
Big thanks to jovy23 for this. link to main page for this mod http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2470702

Did you remove the original accuwather2013 apk and odex files?
This zip I believe is for deodexed rom so if your rom still odex,
go to system/app/accuweather2013.odex, delete it.
and delete it
Just in case anyone is wondering. Yes you can flash this with ss. Just don't reboot just power the phone off and back on to avoid issues

Hey guys and gals, I was sick of looking at the stock App Drawer Icon in the OPT's stock launcher so I changed it to one more appealing. If anyone wants a specific Icon to replace the stock one, just send it to me and I will modify the install script. I will attach a screenshot of the app drawer icon in action as well as the install script.
To install, just download the attached file, place file in your downloads directory and flash in recovery (after you create an nandroid backup). This will only change the app drawer icon.
Please let me know if you have any problems with the install or if the icon didn't install properly.
I got this icon from https://cdn-images.xda-developers.com/direct/1/9/6/2/3/1/3/AppDrawer.png
Thanks

Look for an Xposed module called "Flat Style Bar Indicators". With this Xposed application, you have the ability to change all status bar indicators.

Hey @ripv2 , I was just curious as to how you achieve doing this? I am curious as I would like to bodge together my own way of doing this, so I am able to help further my knowledge of android programming.
Thanks.
This isn't really Android programming, I would suggest getting some experience with apktool first, to learn how to decompile and recompile and sign apks.
