Messages Secret Mode - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

I'm new to samsung, came over from HTC, so I'm still learning about the way things are set up. I noticed today that if you open the default messaging app and go to more>settings>more settings>secret mode you can set a pin number. How do you use the secret mode? Does it hide or encrypt sms conversations?

I don't have the option. I'm still running 5.0.2. So that could be why.

Click to collapse
I'm not seeing this option.

bump..anyone with an idea?
same problem
I have a software update but I can't do so until I backup. But each time I try to backup all categories say failed. It doesn't give me a reason why either. Following and hoping someone has an answer.
---------- Post added at 01:34 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:26 AM ----------
So I was going to post some screen shots but it has my email address etc that I don't want public. But I noticed that my backup account (settings->backup and reset->backup account) was not the same email as my Samsung account so I changed that. I also went to settings->accounts->samsung->[email address]) and none of the options were turned on.
Hope this help!

How to use Audio Source USB option on Windows ? (Android 6.0)

Hello guys, what I understand is that this option will allow the pc to get the sound output of my phone as an input device natively with no third-party software or drivers, if its so then I have a little problem

(I want to record the output of the phone with my PC since there's no apps for that)
thank you .
no one at all knows how it works?
up :3
I have the same problem with my Oneplus One on Windows.
btw on Linux it works perfect!
I have the same issue on my Droid Turbo. Perhaps there's a reason it's still hidden in developer options?

Bypass lock screen with always listening Google

Don't know if there's a thread about this or you guys have already noticed. When you have Ok Google always listening. It completely bypasses the fingerprint sensor and lock screen allowing access to the phone. Is anyone else seeing this? Can be a major security breach or bug.
I kind of like it as Google recognizes my voice to perform specific tasks. But if someone has a similar voice then I see it as a problem
Noticed this on the V10 the other day.
Do you have your voice as a smart lock option? If you do that's why it is bypassed the screen lock because you told it to.

agree with the post above, sounds like voice smart lock enabled. I have it off on mine and I can OK google from lock screen, but it still asks for fingerprint/pswd to get into phone

What are these messages called and how can they be disabled?

This message appears when I switch windows when writing a new email in the Nine email app. This message blocks the keyboard and is annoying, so I would like it disabled. Since theres no way to turn if off in the app settings, I would like to disable this notification through more advanced means. First I want to know what it is called so I can search for a xposed module or some other mod that removed it all together. I don't like useless pop up message. I find them to be about as annoying as bugs crawling on my screen.

That is a toast
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pop-up_notification
https://developer.android.com/guide/topics/ui/notifiers/toasts.html
On my LOS20 there is a setting "Dont show pop-notifications on screen" but not sure if that does the trick for you...
Q: Disable app's toast messages?
groups.google.com
According to this they can be disabled on an app basis using adb. Which is just what I want.
