I was trying to install twrp on my white D801, and apparently alot of people are bricking there white version.
I have a black one, and it does the twrp fine.
What works:
-Turns on, boot logo
-Blinking led
-Has a COM# on my computer
What does not work:
-ADB
-fastboot
What I tried:
-LGflashtool using COM41 (using tot)
-LG flash tool 2014 using kdz
-Board diag, getting flash dload programmer error

I had this happen with a black D801 when I accidentally flashed a version of TWRP on it that was meant for a D800 (doh!). I was able to break it out of the mode you describe here, by opening up the back of the phone and flipping up the battery connector (with a charged battery). I then inserted the USB jack and held down the volume up button, while reconnecting the battery connector. This put the phone into Download mode and I was able to reinstall the stock firmward kdz file via the LG flash tool, as shown in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476

So I flashed a d802 5.0 rom over my D800 and got security error logo. I was unable to flash the D800 .tot because the lg flash tool had cross version problems with the device now showing version d802 native. so I was able to download a custom .dll and used a hex editor to change the tot files version to read as 802 instead of 800 which was successful in flashing the 800 tot back to the phone. this only got me to the fastboot again. so I erased and flashed each .img file to the phone (recovery.img, laf.img, misc.img, aboot.img, boot.img etc....) then I fastboot reboot and now a big black ominous screen. No logo no nothing. Even the pc recognizes is as just a usb device. not an android. and no way I know of getting it to to show as com 41 so I can reflash. so I have no boot no download mode no recovery nothing at all. just black!
Am I as screwed as I am dumb?!

D800 bootloop. Help needed
Recently i have bought a refurbished D800 from Aliexpress. It had stock jeallybean. I have rooted the phone with kingroot. Then i have used autorec to install twrp custom recovery. After restating to recovery i saw the twrp there. From twrp menu i rebooted the phone and now the phone is not starting. After the lg logo it goes to black screen and the notification light blicks. The recovery mode is not working but i can go into download mode. I tried flashing the phone with lg flash tool. but i when i load the dll it says wrong dll. i also tried the dll that bypass the model check but still wrong dll.. What should i do now?
So this isn't my mobile so I have no idea what was done to this mobile before came to me to take a look at. All I know is that it isn't rooted and the owner isn't that smart to use any functions that can brick the phone.
Actual problem:
-The phone vibrates, logo displays then after couple of seconds, it restarts then the loop continues.
-Cannot enter recovery.
Solutions I tried till now:
-Tried to go to recovery but after I select recovery from fastboot, logo displays and then loop again.
-Tried flashing Y520's CWM recovery using SP tool, all I got was white screen instead of logo when I selected recovery in fastboot then again loop( I guess it's because incompatible cwm but it mentioned fo r Y520).
-I also flashed a stock firmware, actually 2 stock firmwares(downloaded from Huawei website) using SP tool.
-I did format the phone using SP tool itself and then flashed the firmware but still not solved.

Well I was stuck with the same Demigod crash and unable to access recovery and download mode
This happens to me when i flashed a wrong twrp recovery for lg g2 d801 and it was stuck in critical error i was also unable to access download mode ..
But my Good luck was that i recovered it by doing silly thing ?
So i do following things. But make sure u know the corrert version of your lg g2 to flash kdz file with lg flash tool and also must have lg drivers intalled.
Steps to perform.
1. While in critical error screen you have an option to press volume up button to boot into download mode( although it will not boot to download mode) but still press volume up button so your Pc can detect your phone.
2. Now flash a kdz file of your lg g2 with flash tool. ( you can google for it to download flash file for your lg g2 and how to flash it with lg flass tool.)
3. When you will try to flash it will fail..
4. Now power off your phone by pressing power button.
5. Now boot to download mode and flash the correct kdz with lg flash tool and u r good to go..
To acess download mode power off your phone immediately press volume up button and while keep pressing it and plug in usb cable and you will be in download mode
This all helped me a lot coz i was scared of Short circuit method and SRK tool didn't help in my case.
Well i am not sure it will work 100% but you can give a try so best of luck ..
