Hello all, I keep getting this error on my phone everytime I plug it through usb. The error message reads:
"The device is currently busy and its contents may not be fully displayed. If another application is copying data to or from the device, please wait for it to finish and then retry."
I have tried using multiple usb ports, restarting my phone, but the error keeps showing up. What could cause this?

I keep trying to type the cmd line for the ad hoc fix for the nook but i get no further than typing the cmnd for backing it up and it will say that it had started succesfuly then the "error device not found comes up. i have tried with and without usb debugging on. am i supposed to do this through the adb.exe file on my computer or can it be done via start> run> cmnd. am i supposed to do this through an sd card or is it just supposed to be hooked up via usb cord. I am new to writing cmnd code but i was good enough to install and root my nook. much credit is due husqermania and his step by step video. But i am STUCK on this and could really use some more broken down instruction. SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP
Anyone else experiencing this:
When I try to copy a lot of files over MTP to my computer eventually it stops with an error message on my computer but then the Nexus 5 screen won't turn on. I have to hold the power button down until it reboots to bring it back.
i had similar problems... mounted as MTP, i tried to copy a bunch of files from the pc to the phone, when the pc suddenly reported "unspecified error" and aborted the copy process. when trying to access the MTP folder again, it said "device disconnected". so i removed the usb cable and plugged it in again, only to find all data has been completely wiped.
Here's how to fix this :
1. Install Nexus Root Toolkit : http://www.wugfresh.com/nrt/
2. Select your phone and stock rom and accept all the downloads it suggests
3. When you get to a window with clickable buttons, click the large long one at the top (full driver installation guide)
4. Follow the steps carefully
5. You'll have MTP working fine as well as Debugging =)
If it still crashes, I don't know what might be wrong

I am trying to resurrect my HTC One S. I accidentally wiped it without making a backup and using CMW.
The main issues I am having are as follows:
- E:/cannot mount sdcard
- When plugged into a computer through usb, Windows gives me a "Device Descriptor Request Failed" box and says my device is unrecognisable (code 43).
- I have tried but cannot get the device to show up in adb. (I have installed many different drivers, HTC, google's driver from sdk, etc.)
Is this device as good as garbage now? I can load it into CMW and in bootloader just fine.
If more information is needed please let me know.
Thanks in advance for the help
What does "Device Descriptor Request Failed" mean?
This is in reference to my Nexus 7 2013 when I plug it into my PC. My Windows machines refuse to recognize it. When I search manually for the USB drivers and point it to the proper folder it doesn't load and stays on the unknown device. This is getting frustrating.
I'm trying to get my PC to recognize my Nexus 7 when I am in TWRP or the Bootloader but it's not working. This is the only way I can send files to my device.
Does anyone have any advice they can give me?
I have a very old Wikipad tablet, which these days tends to only get used for playing old video games. I hadn't used it for a few months, but now whenever I switch it on I get an error:
"Unfortunately, System UI has stopped"
No matter how many times I tap OK, the error just keeps popping up, with the occasional "unfortunately, Launcher has stopped" thrown in as well.
There are plenty of suggestions online for how to fix these errors (remove apps, empty cache, etc.), but those all rely on you actually being able to access the UI and settings. I can never get past these errors on top of a blank screen.
If I enter the Power/Volume-Down boot menu, I get the options of "normal boot", "fastboot protocol", "recovery kernal" and "forced recovery". Selecting "Recovery Kernel" shows the image of the android lying down with an exclamation mark above it. However, I'm not sure where to go from there. No commands appear on screen and various power/volume button combinations don't seem to do anything.
Does anyone know the correct commands to do a factory reset on a Wikipad (or have any other suggestions as to how to resolve the errors)? I'm not bothered about losing all of the data on it.
Thanks!
OK, after weeks of scratching my head on this one for a few weeks and deciding to post the question on this forum, I figured it out myself a couple of days later
I downloaded Fastboot and Android USB drivers from the links posted here:
Fastboot.zip, ADB, & Android USB Drivers | HighOnAndroid.com
highonandroid.com
I installed Android USB drivers (by ClockworkMod). I plugged the Wikipad in to my laptop (Windows 10), powered it off and booted it holding the power and volume down keys. I selected the "fastboot protocol" option. An unknown "fastboot" device then appeared in Device Manager. I had to manually select the ClockworkMod generic Android driver before it was recognised.
Running "fastboot devices" then listed a device. Running "fastboot -w" then deleted all user data (there's no confirmation prompt, it just runs). It also threw an error:
"CreateProcess failed: %1 is not a valid Win32 application. (193)
fastboot: error: Cannot generate image for userdata"
I ignored the error and rebooted the Wikipad. It then booted in to the first time start-up wizard and the System UI errors are gone. All of the data I had on it is gone too, but that's no big deal.
