It will work, but, both phones will have the same IMEI #. That's the reason why no one will share their efs folder (files).

The best way for you guys is to send your phones to the service centers, so they can restore your own original imei numbers.
IF There is a Samsung Service Center In My City
That's Mean I Shouldnt Make This Thread Here ... I Made This Theard To Find A Solution
Anyway Thanks
Somebody Help Meeeee
Fix all 0s imei
My device ( Note 3 N900 ) was showing all 0s Imei after i replaced motherboard. So to fix it I rooted my device, go to root, delete the efs folder and reboot. After the reboot you will see a msg restoring settings.... thats how I got the imei back. Please try it at your own risk.
My imei no got lost while restoring backup using cwm..... i looked around the forum and the ".nv_data" method will not do because my efs folder has a file named "essiv" only and nothing else.....
if someone would confirm what files are contained in thier efs folder and mail it to me also i'll be grateful......
I don't think the 'efs folder' of one device can be used with other devices as it contains the device's IMEI number.
Could you elaborate a bit as to what did you do that resulted in the loss of your IMEI number ? It would help others avoid it in future.
Well.... i restored the same backup file couple of times 'coz i was trying to flash a new theme...btw i am on stock indian 2.3.5......
the files in efs folder can be edited using hex editor (read somewhere in the s2 forum...i don't remeber which thread) so the imei no. in that file can be modified...
Picked up a used infuse and while flashing away lost my imei. Of course I didn't back up my efs file as recommended everywhere. While messing around I stumbled across this method.
1. Write down your imei.
2. Factory reset phone.
3. Make sure you have root and a root browser installed. I used the root browser in ROM toolbox.
4. In root browser go to efs folder and open it.you will see a file called crypt prop_data.
5. Open the file to edit. Only text in file should read null.
6. Replace null with your imei you wrote earlier.
7. Reboot.
Imei should now be restored. I've only tested on my device. Recreated flash scenario 3 times losing imei each time. Repeated above steps recovered imei every time. Hope this helps someone.

Any troubles with IMEI not saving?
Thank you for adding this information. It is really helpful as a lot of us have to deal with this IMEI problem. I do have a question. Have you experienced, or has anyone experienced the situation where the IMEI number is saved, but upon returning to the folder, the same old "NULL" shows up? I've saved it several times to no avail.
Any thoughts would be very welcome.

There is no crypt prop_data file on the efs folder,
Help please.
Hi guys,
does anyone of you have Core Plus rooted? If yes, can you please look with any file manager to /efs folder? I need to compare whole folder structure with someone who has fully worked phone. Because this phone is showing "Emergency calls only" and I found that my /efs folder is 99% corrupted. My /efs folder has this content (I see there only these sub-folders):
.files
bluetooth
FactoryApp
imei
lost+found
wifi
In folder "imei" I see only these 2 files:
.nvmac.info
mps_code.dat
The problem is that I cannot find there 2 important files nv_data.bin and nv_data.bin.md5 (files needed for successful phone registration to network by IMEI number)
Can you please check and let me know, what exactly you see in /efs folder and it's /imei sub-folder?
Thank you very much !!!!
Rado
PS: I rooted my wife's Core Plus but I see in /efs folder exactly the same structure as on mine. But I cannot see nv_data.bin on her phone too !!! And her phone is fully working !!! Why I cannot see nv_data.bin in /efs folder on Galaxy Core Plus? Does it work somehow differently than other Samsung phones???
So it must work differently than other Samsung models. In ODIN I checked boxes:
Re-Partition
Nand Erase All
Phone EFS Clear
but after flashing oficial ROM I still have my good IMEI and SN. There must be some other partition where are nv_ files stored (through EFS Professional I saw there 19 partitions)
I analysed .PIT file and also used EFS Professional and I see that there is 19 partititons:
cal
syspam_dep
param-spml_dep
rf_cal_file
kernel
recovery
modem
reserved
sbl1
sbl2
param
dtsbk
dts
fota_sig
efs
csc
system
hidden
userdata
Can you please specify on which partition is located nv_data.bin ?

The EFS is unique to every phone and it shouldn't be shared (and it can't be). If you did the NAND Erase and the EFS Clear in ODIN without a backup of /efs, you have no options to restore it.
Hello today i will be teaching you how to change your CSC on your A326U you can do this on V1, V2 , V3.
Before we proceed YOU NEED TO BE ROOTED.
Changing your CSC will give better looking icons and give your modem full access to 5G ( no speed throttling ) plus you wont get stock apps pertaining to your carrier. (bloatware)
This will also allow you to record calls with the built in recorder and more...
To change your csc you must take out sim card then using a file explorer head over to /optics/configs/carriers delete everything EXCEPT the SINGLE folder, then go inside SINGLE folder and delete all except XAA
then head over to /efs/imei
Change your mps_code.dat value to XAA Do the same with omcnw_code.dat & salescodeChanged.
delete the .baks Insert Sim and Reboot.
The csc file allows you to bypass throttling from any carrier if so where can I find such a file is it a custom csc file or stock csc file? Or do you just edit the csc without any other csc file?
Strange that there is no salescodeChanged inside imei folder.
Unless you meant prodcode.dat or cid.dat or total_call_time?
