[Completed] Root Asus MEMO HD 7 ME176CE Lollipop? I'll give you a free one to work on and keep. - XDA Assist

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to post in, I apologize if it's not. Please move it if it isn't. If my offer for payment below isn't allowed, please let me know.
My company uses the Asus Memo HD7 Jelly Bean tablets that were discontinued and then the Kit Kat that were also discontinued. We are now switching to the Lollipop version and have a couple on hand for testing. In the past we've used framaroot and RootZenFone. Neither work for the new Lollipop tablet. When we install the tablets they won't have internet so they won't upgrade any fixes. The reason we need root is to hide the menu bars within our application.
We would like to ship someone one of these new tablets to work on. The tablet will be yours to keep. In addition we'll send you a $200 VISA gift card once we are able to replicate the process here. We would like someone with a track record of rooting devices to do this. It is fairly urgent. Please reply to this thread if you are interested.

Hi there,
Please wait for an answer in the shortest time possible.
Thanks

[Q to DEVS] Would this be possible [Sim-(un)lock]

Yesterday I was with a friend for new year, and when I was there I rooted his phone, and also sim-unlocked it. Free.
I'm not 100% sure if this is against TOS of XDA but, I found this.
It is a tutorial, with an APK included (their own link doesnt work but this one from their comments, does work). It would find the unlock codes of the phone. But they are made for Samsung Galaxy Gio, Ace and Mini only.
Would there be any way to port, as MANY users here have requested if it was possible to unlock sim.
If this is indeed against the XDA TOS, I'd be glad if it would either get locked, or better, get deleted. But please give me a notification so I can be sure to not post such things next time
Thx Devs and Mods in advantage for reading, and answering or locking this for me
Messages to inexperienced users, like, well, practically myself:
Please dont reply on this topic, especially not with things like: "YES PLEASE PORT IT" etc. Cuz thats time and space waste. Honestly I hope it is allowed by XDA and hope it can be done, to save you guys some money, but the chance is LOW.

Please kindly help me out with my first android app by giving me some honest advice

Hi, all, first, I am not sure whether I should put this post under this section or the General discussion. If I put it in the wrong, please kindly let me know and I will change it to the right place.
Ok, here is the thing. I have developed an android app (to remove the doubt of spamming, I will not mention it here). I thought it is great, so I upload it to the Google Play store and send review request to over 50 review websites. But the downloading data is really frustrating, only about 100 over two months.
I know XDA has many real android experts who are willing to offer help to those who are in need. So I wonder is there anyone who are willing to offer some honest suggestion for my app?
Thanks in advance.

[Completed] [Q] Sprint Note 3 flashed to Boost Mobile ROM

Hello, i have a SM-N900P note 3 originally on sprint, now flashed to Boost Mobile. I bought it brand new. It has android version 4.4.2 and im wanting to update to Lollipop on either a official version, or unofficial....whichever more stable. I paid a person to flash it to boost and he did so remotely, ive attempted to contact him for information on his process but have not been responded to. It is rooted and has TWRP and a full nandroid back up.
Please help me, im scared to try flashing a rom then ruining the ''boost flash''.
I can attatch pictures from my About Device if safe and helpful.
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Paying someone to alter your device has left you in a position where you have a modified phone but no knowledge on how it got to that state or how to proceed. I firmly believe that if you can't take the time to learn how to do these things for yourself then you shouldn't be doing them at all. Having a modified phone, and working with a modified phone, requires a certain level of knowledge, it requires research, it requires work. Now you can see that taking the easy way initially hasn't really benefited you in the long run. Anyway, you have a lot of learning to do, Samsung phones can be especially difficult to modify due to the way that they're locked down. You're going to need to head over to the Sprint Note 3 section and start doing as much reading as you can. I can't really point to one specific thread because there's so much information that you need to take in. If you get stuck though there's a q&a section that you can ask for help in. Here's a link to the Sprint Note 3 device forum:

Lol look man, I am very familiar with flashing stock Roms and custom roms. As well as most other device modifications. I reached out for advice in hopes of hearing someone's output that may have already done this type of procedure.with that being said,if I can afford to pay someone to do what I may simply not have TIME to do,then that's my prerogative. These forums are to help people, not to write a reply that is in no way helpful. Maybe you should be the one that needs to do more reading. ☺??
P.s.
I have a Galaxy Note 3 flashed to Boost Mobile and pay only $35 a month, I'd say I was very benefited. Lmfao ???? You mad bro? ???

You came here for help and yet you LOL at the help....
Sounds like you take your device back to the carrier and stay stock but you also stated you are familiar with flashing, and yet you are "scared".
And sounds like you should be doing the reading, after all you came here to ask, vice searching and reading for yourself. Nevertheless
Good Luck and Thread Closed.

Hello,
timmaaa pointed you in the right direction, and as he suggested you will get more help posting your question in the device specific forum.
XDA Assist is not a "Support" forum it is to guide new users to areas they can find the help they need.
Please post your question in the link above or the Sprint Note 3 Q&A section to get the answer/help you are looking for.

[Completed] About Posting Requirement and Help for Rooting MB525

Hi!
I am wondering if I need to fulfill the 10 post requirement for the forum in order to be able to see links for downloads to help me with rooting my phone? I found a post online directing me to a thread here. I am a bit handicapped in that we have no ISP available at my home so I am only able to sporadically be online when I can get to WiFi so I may not see a reply for a bit, but I am hoping someone can tell me the best way to get to the point where I can root my phone. I have a Motorola MB525 with 2.2.2. Only a few things that I would like for functionality that sent me looking for ways to root my system, but mostly because I hate sending and receiving texts and not being able to see the emojis! and sometimes missing the tone of the message with mystery emojis! :silly:
Thank you in advance for your time and reply,
Kristie

Questions regarding clone phone

Hi everybody,
hopefully I am at the right place here to ask these questions. If not please direct me to the appropriate sub forum.
Currently I have a Chines Clone Phone (maybe iphone 7 plus) here available - looking for several things. It seems the installed Android is working at least for the majority of main functions but it is far from being complete. Now I fear that these kind of phone and system is not very reliable or safe (bloatware, spyware and other sniffing stuff below surface or whatsoever). So my question is: Are these phones and their OSes are generally considered to be safely usable? Or does user need to fear to be infected, spied or similar?
So far I tried to Root the phone and to install custom recovery and custom ROM without any success. The only information I got can be seen in the attached screenshot.
Currently I am checking the methods and files proposed here and here. Does anybody know whethere these are reliable and can be trusted?
Unfortunately I could not find much information at XDA so far - also my clone phone identifying thread here at XDA did not provide much help so far.
Thanks in advance for your support!
Bye

XDA has a thread here for cloned devices but unfortunately you have an iPhone clone. This website does not deal with iPhone or iPhone clones(regardless of whether they are android based or not). You'll have to find somewhere else to get your answer.

Ok, thank you - will try to do so.
Then I will reduce my initial questions to the page and contents regarding MediaTek android systems I mentioned here and here.
Does anybody have any experiences with this stuff/site? Or should I open another thread for this question?

That site is all about getting paid for ads, the question isn't whether the guide can be trusted, it's a question of whether the files that are linked can be trusted, those files are in other places and just linked in that guide, they probably were not built/developed by whoever wrote the guide. Some of those files may have originated here at XDA are only linked in that guide to bring you here to download.
