Hi,
I'm using a OnePlus One on CM12 and having a facebook problem.
How can I update my status so that it shows (near my city) without checking in to a place?
It works fine with my other phones and tablets, but this I cannot get it to work with my OPO.
I've searched online for ages, but I'm stuck with this! I've also turned off privacy guard, uninstalled the app and still no further forward.
Any help is much appreciated!

Hey guys,
I've installed µTrack on a motorola MC75 using windows mobile 6.0 and I'm getting the incorrect long/lat from µTrack.
I also installed google maps on the device and it seems to work fine reporting the coordinates.
So I was wondering if there is a way to fix the issue with µTrack to get the right coordiantes.
The coordinates I should be getting are 49.83 lat and -99.95 for long
the oordinates I am getting are 89.622 lat and -157.69 long
any help is appreciated

Hello,
I recently discovered that my battery life had become very poor, and so I checked the wakelocks and it turned out to be RilJ Dialer, leading to a mspi and radio interface wakelock whenever my signal become low or gone( I get poor reception in areas of my school). I learned that RilJ Dialer is used when apps are requesting network location through wifi only, and the most common culprit is Maps. I froze maps and the problem was gone, so I set out to fix maps. It turns out that the background location settings is stuck at manually set location when I try to set it to not report location, it will always change back when I leave the menu. Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling, fixing permissions, and going online and changing all my map settings through there, and nothing has worked. Is this a bug with Maps? I currently have is froze, and toggle between frozen and unfrozen when I need it, because it takes way too much battery in low/no signal locations. Thank in advance.

I've recently started experiencing this problem as well. My guess is you haven't found a solution yet?

Hey Boojay,
Unfortunately, I was never able to find a solution. I was using Cyanogenmod 7.2, and just froze maps when not in use and unfroze it when I needed it. A few weeks after the problem arose, I had some time off, and so I decided it was time to upgrade my software, and so I flashed Cyanogenmod 10.2, did all the associated upgrades, set up maps, and the problem never came back, and maps is working perfectly as of now on 4.3.1. I'm not sure what Android version you are on, but when I had the problem I tried everything in the original post, but it still didn't work. I understand that your post quite old, so hopefully you have found a solution by now.

No worries and I didn't find a solution, but I'm using a rom now where battery life isn't an issue despite that little quirk.
It seems Google's goal is to use more resources and keep track of our whereabouts at the expense of battery. I'm not too thrilled with the direction they're taking with their apps and OS lately, but what can ya do?
Swyped from my Mi2S
So I've had a phone called the 78dian / Much W1 (should be one of the first results on google) but I actually broke it and just recently got it repaired. I was hoping maybe some recent updates might have fixed the issues I was experiencing, but still nothing.
I am not able to use these apps: Tinder, Grindr (another location based dating app), Limelight Game Streaming
I can connect to the PS4 Remote Play app just fine, which I assume is a similar streaming system to limelight?
Tinder logs me in but won't load any photos. Grindr won't log in at all, just tells me to check my internet connection. Limelight Game Streaming gives me a different connectivity error.
My Nexus 4 can connect just fine to all of these services.
The device is running Android 4.2.2
LogCat gives me a common error among the three that states: "... cert_verify_callback calling verifyCertificateChainauthMethod=RSA"
and sometimes it says "failed to get contextual suggestions"
Any ideas?
please help
Its been a year now since my screen phone broke accidentally and up until now I've been searching for a spare screen for my phone. I bought it on China when we docked in shanghai via internet with a help from my Chinese colleague(I bought 2 units), but a year after both of the screen unfortunately cracked and I couldn't find any replacement for parts here in my country (Philippines). Up until now I've been searching for a spare part for my screen replacement because those phone has a huge sentimental value for me and I cannot just dispose it or let it sit around in my closet. I was just wondering if someone can help me find a spare screen for my phone. its just the protective screen from the housing that was cracked because the screen display is still operating, but the screen is not responding to touches. thank you in advance Sir/Madam and I whole heartedly be thankful if someone can be able to help me in my situation.
I have searched the forums & contacted the support and no answers from anyone. I have lost the ability to get realtime location updates on my Samsung S3 using this paid Childrens Tracker app 2.9. Everything was great until 2 weeks ago. I unistalled and re-installed but nothing seem to work. I still get other data updates just not to location in realtime unless I restart the target phone everytime.
Has anyone else had the same issue? If so, please let me know how you fixed the problem.
Thanks.
Hello!
Today I realised that Location History (and, hence, Location Sharing) is not available to me... Googling the issue I see that this issue has been bothering many users of Chinese phones, but with no clear solution.
Of course location history was working fine since the day I got the phone, and I didn't change anything like, say, flashing a new ROM. I'm on OB25, btw.
Anyone else facing the same issue?
Same for me. Was working fine for one years and a recent research showed that it stopped working...
Had to remove my Google account, now it's working again. However, judging from others posting in various sites, I don't know for how long...

I have the same issue on Vivo Iqoo Pro. the location history was working initially, and stopped working after the google play service automatically upgraded. What i am doing is uninstall the google play service and reinstall the original play service from the Vivo app market almost every the other day when google play service upgraded to the newest version.
I don't know how to stop the google play service automatic updating... maybe i have to root the cell phone and then there is a way to stop the play service updating...
That's a valid question...
As for me, in the end I had enough and just cleanly flashed my ROM. For some reason, the problem did not appear again!
