Hey all,
I recently flashed over to Imperium ROM. It's extremely stable and light on the battery, which I'm loving.
I did however, briefly, flash another ROM. Baked into this was a TW camera that allowed for 1080p @ 60fps, presumably a port from another Samsung device (I assumed note 3 or s5 but not sure).
I cannot for the life of me remember which rom this was and recently have gone through a bunch of other camera APK files trying to find the right one and unfortunately I cant. What I'm essentially trying to do is find which ROM it was in and build it into the Imperium I'm running just now. I've currently got it on a Note 4 camera, but the front camera doesn't work on it which is a bit of a nightmare. It also doesn't feature 1080p60 which I would like.
Anyone got any ideas? I've searched and can't find anything and rather than flash rom after rom to find out I thought someone may know. The rom is lollipop as was the one I'm referring to with the 1080p60 cam app.
Thanks guys
Pete

I think you're referring to Albe95 S6 Rom 1.5.
It has the S6 camera and 1080p60 recording available

You have to flash the whole rom as of now.

I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules. I was just wondering what everyone else prefers on their Note 3... Stock ROM with Xposed, or a custom ROM?
I have been using Slimkat on my Note 3 since I bought it. This week I might try out the stock ROM with Xposed to compare.

I prefer Stock ROM with Xposed.
I understand why others love custom ROM but I don't need it

yes also
Same here, mostly running alexandr's ROM with lean kernel. Works wonders. But I can't understand why people buy this phone and flash aosp roms that turn the spen into a simple stick.
one of android best features to me ... is having a custom rom
but lately they all feel like stock with exposed enabled .... im still searching for a good rom to use everyday
rooted X-Note 3 knox 0X0
Stock rom with xpose especially Wanamp:good:
Tested lots of ROMs, if not all, that are available for the Nope 3. AOSP, TW based...
Best look, performance & speed - AOSP cannot be beaten here. And even if some FCs happened until I setup an AOSP, after that there's no hiccups, even on nightlies. Fire up ART runtime, and the speed gets to disgusting levels, but it's like a car, the faster you go, the more likely the crash.
Pure stock TW is ugly as hell, but coming from Samsung themselves, it's stable and everything works. And there ARE people who use the S-Pen every day. o.o
Also, it's probably the fact that I can't properly set up the kernel on AOSP, because the ugly slow TW gets me more battery life than AOSP. And I go tinkering with the kernel, and USB stops working, FCs, and other s**t. :/ I need to learn more on the topic, probably...
Currently, using Audax ROM with stock kernel.
make my own custom since i don't really use some of the function avail on other custom.
i vote for custom rom
when i am in stock note 3 the ported s5 apps doesnt work thats why i chose s5 ported roms as the note 3 dont get s5 apps or even the s5 uI samsung fault they dont care about there fans new phone produce throw your phone away cause you well get worse update - as i know 4.3 was better than 4.4.2 / 1-call record working without root - 2- camera performance better - 3- white keyboard - 4-not draining battery fast and ... a lot of things i may forget it dont forget the last update which introduce knox 2.0 which make towel-root useless - so tell me reasons not be in custom rom or you just stock with useless phone / i just losing faith with samsung update cause i know every update are getting even worse
I like using stock-based custom ROM with Xposed.

Thank you for the subject.
Personally, I prefer Stock because it's official and custom rom does not give you a big advantage over the original with Xposed, except with the custom I can not activate screen mirroring.

Hey Guys! Here's my problem... You see, I have a cherry mobile cosmos x2. And I recently installed a new rom to it. The samsung galaxy note 3 rom.. And I noticed that when I use the camera. It only shows 13MP instead of 18MP. I want it to go back to 18MP without uninstalling the ROM.. Any clue how to do this???

Do a full wipe. If it didnt help reflash your custom ROM. If it still fails, search other ROMS instead of what your are using right now. Probably the custom ROM that you are using doesn't support the whole device.
Hello,
I got a real good deal on the samsung s7 so i took it.
My question to you is, shall is stick to stock os or install a custom rom?
the reason i ask this is cause i was using a redmi note 4 and the custom firmware is kinda buggy, i need to reboot once a while. its running on 8.1.
it has LTE issues, Keyboard issues, apps crash randomly, slows down once a while.
Also, if i root it and install 8.1 on my samsung will the camera quality go down? i have heard this is true? can someone please correct me.
Honestly i want a stable experiance with a good camera, thats all.
Please advice.
Stable & Full camera quality, stick to stock
You need a TouchWiz ROM with stock camera app to get 100% camera quality
Custom ROMs are much more likely to be unstable than stock, but I haven't tried any

I've run a variety of Custom AOSP / AOKP Roms on my S7 - Nougat and Oreo 8.1 - After the latest Samsung Firmware update - I figured that I'd run Stock Rooted for a while - Stock is Definitely more stable than any of the AOSP /AOKP Custom Roms and the Camera is one thing that is constantly being complained about on AOSP / AOKP Roms.... That being said - If you like the idea of Running a Custom Rom & are prepared for some bugs - They can certainly be used as a Daily Driver ??
Sent from my SM-G955W ??
Hey thanks for the reply guys!
i thought maybe since the device is old someone might have ported a stock quality like camera.
its easy for me to say i guess! im sure its tough. well, i guess i'll install the pixel rootless launcher and keep using this beast! im not much of a heavy user its just whatsapp and instagram chats mostly.
though i'll miss android 8.1. but stability is worth it!
i was thinking how about i install a 8.1 rom+ google camera[ is it stable and better than stock now?]

Nope. If you want camera performance and overall stability, go with touchwiz. 8.1 aosp is in beta rn
Great, I shall wait for a while then
Thank you guys!
Hey guys, hope everyone's doing well I'm currently using pixel extended rom which is great but I'm unable to use my 48 mp camera slow motion and all the other goodies that came along with stock camera, Gcam can only help me in pictures and videos which i admit is the most use but sometimes i do need those extra goodies that were present in my stock camera. Can someone please port that camera for custom roms.
I hope someone responds to my request
Having the same issue I searched everywhere and somehow stumbled on your post. Thought you might get a solution if so please let me know.. if not I am hoping some one would help us.

Porting stock camera to custom rom is next to impossible as stated by one of the developers of the riceDroid custom rom! Either use GCAM which is almost stable and good to use or you can always go back to realme ui.

Apologies if I sound kinda dumb, but how do I get back to Realme UI, I'm currently on CorvusOS, and I have the same camera issue, can I just directly flash the ozip file in Orangefox or is there some other method to do it ?

I have actually read somewhere that there is a flashable file of RUI which you can flash through custom recovery and after flashing, it will remove your custom recovery and install RUI stock recovery and stock ROM. But I have no idea up to what extent it will work like will our bootloader be locked again or not. But there is a process to go back.
So, I'm running LineageOS 19.1 and it's stock camera app lacks functionality, and I don't want to use Gcam, I would like to use samsung's stock camera, if someone could provide me with a way to get it, would help me tremendously.

@elJaberJaber I'm curious if the stock camera apk works on Lineage, please report back about it.
You can't use the Samsung stock camera app on an AOSP rom as it lacks the proper framework for the apk to work with , you can only use it in other OneUI based roms .
In the odd chance that I am wrong, I'd love to see it happen.

didn't get to test it out, I'm sorry, I've managed to brick my phone, so I reverted to the original ROM and rooted it to uninstall bloatware.

That's what I thought.
However, for the Sony Xperia Z3 series there was a port of the stock camera app that included the needed parts of the framework to work on AOSP/Lineage based roms.
It would be interesting if this could be possible on the Samsung S10 series too.
deleted because of double post

Hasn't been done yet, your best bet is to talk to the Dev that made the rom , Linux or Ivan or whoever it was and also with Corsicanu, as he's very well skilled working with Samsung devices and tinkering with it's apps , you can find him in various groups and on telegram as well so give it a shot and ask him a question.
Hi everyone, can i import the framework on a different rom? im using an S22
