Hello guys !
So today I rooted my phone with CF auto root, this working well !
I installed lucky patcher, and many others apps ! So well !
But tonight, accidentally I removed the 'storage' folder when I was trying to clear some useless folder.
After I did this I saw that I couldn't access to any nexus 5's files from my computer, because there are none.
So I tried to unroot this with SU, it worked well this is de-rooted, but I wanna know what can I do now ?
I'm getting afraid right now actually coz' I don't know what to do.
So, thanks for the help, just wanna get back to the rooted and unlocked phone but I think by deleting this folder I'll get many troubles.
Thanks by advance.
Cordially.
IMHO the best thing to do is wipe your phone, flash stock, and then root again.

" wipe your phone" What do you mean ? Factory reset ?
Coz I just fastboot it actually and CF auto root again, and folders seems to be here again, not all, but I can see them through computer so it's good ? You don't think ?
First thing to do is get rid of lucky patcher. You don't need it for anything good. Just flash the factory image with fastboot.

By deleting the storage folder, you wiped out the contents of your storage. The system and data partitions should be intact and operational.
Don't talk about warz like lucky patcher here please. You will get grief off the mods.. Justified

There are lists for what you can and can not remove. You sound like you have not done this before. You need to read up on what you are doing, b4 you ruin your phone
SENT BY ENTANGLEMENT
OP talks about folder made by Titanium Backup. There is no need to flash again, because SD card is still there. Just without content, ofcourse.
So I should remove ROOT access with superSU, factory reset option in the parameter then CF Auto root the phone ?

OK Guys, I'm in big trouble right now. I wanted to install a Kernel. I was on Viperrom 2.1.0. Something went wrong and my phone went into a bootloop. After trying a couple of things(like installing another Kernel) Everything went from bad to worst. Now my whole Internal Memory is erased and there's still a bootloop. Luckily I can access my TWRP Recovery, but i can't mount my sdcard, because it says thats it's unable to mount sdcard. How can I transfer a rom to my sdcard so I can install it?

Sounds like your internal memory may be corrupted. Have you tried flashing stock recovery?
Relock your bootloader
Flash stock ruu

Installing the original recovery worked for me. The only problem is that when I install a custom rom my phone still goes into a bootloop.. SDcard can be mounted though..

If you can get in in recovery(TWRP) try to delete SD card or phone storage and than mount and transfer the rom that you want.

if you want me to help you my brother, take my advice, i was an iphone heavy user but now i am 100% Android fan-boy, when i had the iphone previously i have encountered a prob like this, after days of heavy research in addition to my experience, you need simply to reset your phone motherboard !!! you can do this simply by two methods :
1- You need to self open your phone or by an experimenter and unplug your motherboard/battery cable, wait for 1 to 2 minutes and plug it again the phone will work again do kernel install and Bla Bla Bla .....
2- It may be take some time, but, it also works, leave your phone woke until the battery is completely drained, leave it for more 1 week to make sure that you haven't any current in the battery, charge it again fully and power on it, it should work and do the rest ...
NOTE : i have been an iphone repairer, i've tried to two methods and it works fine .

Then you are not installing rom correctly--
So, you can flash a rom thru twrp, you can mount sdcard also, right?
I would back up sdcard to pc at this point to be safe
you probably have no nandroids on phone or pc, correct?
you also are not giving enough info as to kernels and roms you are flashing and exact steps to do it
are you S4 version on phone
most likely issues are you are not wiping all, including system 3x. and not flashing boot image with rom
don't do any iphone stuff--

Hello everyone,
I rooted my Razr HD a while ago, don't remember why. Anyway, I ended up getting a new phone and switching with a friend. And now I need to unroot it so my Mom can use it.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? I know there was an automated tool somewhere but I can't locate it.
Btw, it's rooted with Safestrap. I don't know if that changes anything.
I suggest u to use universal unroot utility by MattGroff and u can uninstall safestrap normally

I would uninstall SS prior to un-rooting because you'll still need to get into the app to uninstall the recovery. It might not let you in if you don't have root access.

If you go into the actual SS app on your phone, you can uninstall recovery. Do this, prior to deleting the app. If you delete the app first, you'll never be able to delete the installed SS recovery because you need the app to do it. Uninstall recovery through the app, then delete the app, and then delete all the SS folders and backups on your internal to get you some memory space back. As for the root access thing, I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think you'll be able to open the SS app if you don't still have root access. It's a root access app but I'm not sure how that would work.
Well it looks like the phone has been set to factory..I turned it on just now, and I think my mom or dad may have done it. It works fine. But there is no SU or SS apps on the phone, I just checked. But when I boot the phone, I still get the bootloader unlocked message. Which means its something in the SD card correct? Any idea how to clean that up?

If your BL is unlocked, there's no way to relock it. However, I know there are some flashable boot logos running around somewhere in this forum. Just find one and flash it in recovery.

you can go to settings/storage and erase the sd card but that wont get rid of the warning. also, if it was rooted, it still is even though the su app may have been removed.
I am helping a person try and retrieve photos from a Samsung Galaxy S6 that is stock at the lock screen. The finger print scan is not working and they do not know there back up password. I researched two ways to get around this.
1. Entering in the google account user name and password
2. Signing into Find My Mobile with the samsung account information and unlocking the phone
If both of these options fail due to the owner not remembering there above credentials is there any other way to retrieve photos. How about putting the phone in dfu mode and using a program on a computer to copy photos from the internal storage. Is something like this possible? Appreciate any help on this issue.
Maybe flash a stock ROM with Odin?
That way all the data stays in tact and it may remove lock screen.

Thanks for the quick response. The lady is paranoid about losing her photos! Therefore flashing with Odin Stock Rom will not remove any data from the phone. Do you have instructions or a link on how to do this.
I also am able to sign into her google account through the web browser, but when I use those credentials to try and unlock the Galaxy S6 it says that the user name or email is wrong. Thanks

Sounds like she could be learning a hard lesson. Backup passwords, knowing what accounts you used to setup, photo backups all exist for a reason.

I totally agree with your assessment! I don't understand how I can log into her Gmail account via the web and then when I enter the same information at the Galaxy S6 Unlock via Google it does not work. Could this have something to do with not being connected to the internet. It is saying that 4G LTE is connected. Doesn't seem to be a way to connect it to WiFi without unlocking home screen.
If this was my phone I would have no trouble trying to flash the Odin stock Rom, but do not want to lose her info incase someone else can retrieve it. Does flashing the Odin stock ROM wipe everything on the phone or does it retain photos and other information. Thanks
I'm in this same situation. Is there anyway to retrieve the pictures? Flashing with Odin does not wipe the phone?
Wasn't life easier when we had removable sd cards...?
Flashing the system partition does not touch the data partition.
Do you know how she managed to break the fingerprint reader, by the way?
My G920F stuck on bootloop because of fail on rooting and I was afraid of losing all my photos. First I flashed TWRP with Odin, booted to recovery mode and pulled photos and videos out with adb. Then I flashed stock firmware with Odin and made a factory reset (not mandatory). Everything is working fine now.

I suppose doing this you had USB debugging ENABLED before the boot-fail? Or does it turn on USB debug when flashing TWRP?

Agree WahFai, much simpeler with SD-card! So you think flashing system partition will do the trick. I'll go read up on that, how to flash the system partition. In my case, afaik, the fingerprint reader did not break. The system failed accepting the unlock code from one day to another and she does not remember the backup code for the reader. Thanks for your reply!
All she wants are the pictures on the phone. She recently got a baby, all the pictures of the delivery are on the phone, so you sense the urgency to not loose the pictures. She'll still feel the effects 18 years from now.
By the way: does flashing the stock rom with odin void the warranty? Because the phone is still on warranty...
Flashing a stock rom via odin will not trip knox but flashing a custom recovery will.
Thanks for clearing that out for me.

To be able to get some help, you need to tell the community,
1. What ROM (KitKat? Lollipop?) you have on the phone
2. Bootloader version
3. Rooted or not?
And maybe a few other things. But don't expect any help just by asking a question without giving any type of reference.
Its stock lollipop
bump, also having this issue
any resolution?
i am having this issue for the last 10 days. If i try to turn it on, sometimes it goes into a boot loop. A battery-pull fixes the loop, but WiFi is still broken. FYI, BT is okay
any resolution?
Hi
I am having the same issue w/ my LG G3 AT&T version, w/ stock Lollipop. This popped up about 2 weeks ago too.
Initially only the WiFi was an issue, for the last week, BT doesn't work either.
Hesitant to factory-reset my phone, just too much stuff on it. I tried to copy the pics over via USB (both MTP and PTP) but unable to do that either.
Hoping someone has found a solution...

Thanks for the reply, but not sure what "restore from tot" means. Umm, never booted into "safe mode" on a phone, will search for the procedure on Google/YouTube.

You have to ROOT your phone first before you use some tool to recover the lost data.
So I think this ROOT tutorial is useful for you: https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/...oader-install-custom-recovery-and-root.64487/
After you ROOT your phone, try this tool to recover data from the wiped internal storage.
PS: the ROOT function is included in the tool's data recovery module, you can try the tool directly before ROOT the phone yourself.

When you unlock the bootloader all data gets wiped for security reasons .... So what do you think there is left to recover? Data will be corrupted even more.
Anyway there are tools but data is corrupted and not fully usable. So RIP.
PS
The OP said he did it from twrp which means the bootloader is already unlocked.
